How can we upload your files ? If you are talking about the android, camera, media etc folders.. once you put in your SD card in your phone they will be automatically created by your device. Since you formatted your sdcard now.. they will be Empty

If you want to restore files connect your sd card to pc and use any recovery softwares to restore deleted files.
If you want to system default folders, just keep using your phone as normal they will be restored automatically

I want to move a folder to the micro sd card...and then link the original folder to it...to save space...
how is this done? i cant find it on the web and with EZ file explorer.
Maybe another solution?
thanks!
Why dont you just cut the original folder from the internal sd card and then paste onto your external sd card.
You dont need to keep the original folder on the internal sd card.

Because apps like gameloft have their data stored on the internal storage. Moving that data will not make gameloft's games search for a new location...

Unpatched games do,but if you patch the game like the post i showed you on the other thread, then the game will run with the data stored on the external sd card.
If you still dont understand,i can do a step by step instruction on how to run a gameloft game with the data stored on the external sd card.

You can move all your apps to your SD card when your phone is rooted but remember some apps will crash or don't work when placed in SD card.

I hv installed Root all to SD but it's showing Storage is not mounted. I have clicked on Mount but still it's the same.
I think this app will allow data to move in SD card.
Please HELP...!
use titanium backup for moving apps.
your phone must be rooted for it
I reply here because I spent a lot of time searching through very old posts and trying outdated methods. I didn't know that actually today there is a very easy solution to move whatsapp media folder to SD card. It perfectly worked on my Samsung Galaxy A3 A320FL:
1) Root (I used twrp + magisk method)
2) Download "App2SD" (the original by Vicky Bonick; it's free) and follow instructions on how to create partitions
3) Use "folder mount (app analyzer)" feature, which apparently was not considered in the old posts in this forum, so I suppose it was recently added to App2SD.
It's like folder mount, but it's pre-set for some common apps, including Whatsapp. With this feature, you can successfully move Whatsapp media folder to SD, in one clic.
In my case everything worked fine. When I reboot I have to re-mount folder, but it takes one second (just open Apps2SD, tap Folder Mount, slide "whatsapp other").

If you aren't using any memory increasing scripts, you can just swap memory cards, move the "Android", and ".android_secure" folder from the old card to new. I'd recommend that you do a complete copy, not to miss out any other data from other apps.

Take a nandroid backup.. Using the recovery..
In the card you will see a folder named clockworkmod or something... Copy the folder in the new card..
If you had a partition in the previous card then make a partition in the new one..
Place that folder in your new card..
Go to recovery.. Make sure you install the recovery through which you had done the backup..
Go to backup and restore.. select the backup.. done..

I partially disagree with this. Some of the apps use some custom folder, (hidden with "." prefix) in the SDcard, and so, an exact copy of the SD Card's what I recommend.

If you don't jump about installing recoveries, then, you don't have anything to worry about.
Insider details: TWRP's and Clockworkmod's backup/restore mechanisms work in different ways, and they're two "different" recoveries. Hence, they use different folders, "clockworkmod" (or "clockwork") and "TWRP" respectively. The backups are stored in those folders. If you don't flash a new recovery, and use the old recovery itself, you've got nothing to worry about.
p.s. ROMs are installed in internal memory. The SDCard, only some data is stored.

simply to say mate backup your apps and all through titanium backup.. paste in your PC then partition the card.. go to recovery partition the card then flash the ROM.. setup everything after boot. install titanium go to preferences -> batch actions-> restore user apps..

Hello, I have an Honor 8 and I recently got a notification telling me that my SD card is damaged. Following this, I have still been able to save some files and send and receive attachments via Skype and email, but not via Whatsapp (I can neither send nor receive pictures).
I'm guessing that I have to replace the SD card. Is this correct? Do you have any advice about it? If I do replace the SD, which settings should I choose for the new SD? Any particular procedures to follow?
Thanks a lot!

Hi, it's me again. Unfortunately the problem appeared again, I still can't view any photos on Whatsapp and am unable to download the files (it says the SD card is missing). At this point, I am wondering: is it really a problem of the SD card, or is there a problem with the software? What do you guys think? Because if it's a problem with the software, then changing the SD card would not solve anything, right?

That looks like a sign that your SD is near its end of life. Save your files now and insert a new SD.

sad thing is yesterday , my sd card is crashed idk y , i formatted , all my data is lost
I was having the same problem, so i read in the internet that Format the SDcard on Fat32 maybe would solve It, so i put It on my tablet PC and use the "miniTool" to delete ALL the partitions, Rebuild the MDR and at last format on Fat32. After that i change the settings on android to use internal memory as primary storage methode, using SDcard most to storage documents and pictures. So far so good
