I have a rooted, and custom rom htc inspire 4g. Today i got an upgrade notification on my phone and after dismissing it a few times it gave me no choice to install it, so it restarts your phone and after that my clockworkmod recovery screen comes up and says
"Opening update package...
Verifying update package....
E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verfication failed
Instalation aborted"
From there i reboot the phone, but after restarting a bit after the At&T notifcation comes up again restarting the phone trying to install the update
and the process continues, so my phone is in a continuous loop
I will find a post and put it here with what the update includes, but I think it is a new radio.
Can anybody help me with getting out of this
maybe that requires deleting the update file? but I don't know where that is located at.
Please help, thanks
Nate

I deleted the Now App because it was acting up so i uninstalled it and tried to reinstall it, but now it says your phone is not up to date...but I do have mango RTM and it was working before, what's going on??
Same problem
I did a hard rest and tried to reinstall the Samsung Now app, but was unable to install. This was after I updated to Mango. I hard rest the phone 2 more time with no luck. When I first updated I was able to install the Now App to the Mango Version. I now get the marketplace error (80330011). Also when in the Samsung Zone the Now App now states That (This app is not available for your device. Tap here for more info. When I tap I get the (App. not Available. This might be because your phone software needs to be updated, the app is exclusive to a different mobile provider, or the app is not available in you region.)
OS Version 7.10.7720.68
Firmware 2103.11.81
Samsung Focus 1.3 AT&T
you can sideload the latest Mango enabled Now xap if you are unlocked.
follow this post.
i am dev-unlocked, but sideloading the app doesn't seem to work. Any idea why this is happening?
There is a non-patched version of Now posted by @derausgewanderte (thank you man)
Take it @mmian : Now - v2.3.0.1 (patched).xap

you can use this to sideload the app. Once you have this application you also don't need to search the net for a patched version of the xaps you find. it works
I'm experiencing this too. My phone isn't dev-unlocked so I'm hoping it's a temporary marketplace issue.
When I first updated to Mango (right after a reset) I downloaded the new Now app without any issues. I've since reset again to add an SD card and now cannot update it. Argh.
Also, I wish they'd use the same font for the temperatures on the Now Live Tile as the rest of the OS.
I have the same problem.
I upgraded my phone (not unlocked) all the way from its original version 7004 through mango RTM to mango and could update samsung now to the latest version. I saw the new features they introduced.
Then I wanted to unlock the phone -> reflash to 7004 and go to mango again. samsung now wouldn't update in marketplace (don't remember exact error code) but other apps like diary could be installed. I uninstalled 'now' and when i tried to install it it said (is not compatible with your phone".
The only difference between the first and the second version of mango on the phone:
- the first time I flashed the firmware using signed_CSC_Cetus_Europe_I8700BSEJK1.csc
- the second time I flashed the firmware using signed_CSC_Cetus_Europe_I8700DBTJK1.csc because I was told this is the right file for an unbranded omnia7 for germany
- after I've flashed the second time, zune did not find an update after I had 7008 on my phone -> needed to use the "disconnect from internet" solution to upgrade
However, in the end all drivers have been updated:
Os: 7.10.7720.68
firmware: 2424.11.8.5
radio: 2424.11.7.2
bootloader: 5.8.1.9
Does it really depend on the .csc and the active region that "now" can't be installed? but why should it be disabled for germany, I already used it in my unlocked mango version and they have german news and all that stuff.
with WP7Downloader, I could flash the csc to BSEJK1, probably I'll give it a try.
probably related:
IIRC, the unlocked mango installed a version of the diagnosis app starting with 1,
now (mango unlocked) I have "diagnosis_DU (ver. 0628). Is this the correct one? when I start the GPRS manager, I don't get a nice combobox for "select GPRS" anymore, the options are displayed in a listbox which is too small to show all entries. in "unlocked mango" the UI looked nicer, now it looks kind of ugly or just wrong however, it still works and unlocked mango as intended
And yes, I uninstalled the app, rebooted the phone and installed it again using ##634#.
The LG G2 for AT&T is set to receive an update starting today that brings it up to build D80010o. The update appears to be minor at just 57MB and only including a couple of bug fixes, along with the necessary changes to make it Isis ready. Other than that, the changelog claims that it introduces an “Enhanced Google Map” and Ready2Go enhancements.
It is certainly not Android 4.4, or even Android 4.3 for that matter.
Here is what you’ll find inside:
ISIS Ready
EAS Fix (Enable Data Encryption Policy in the device via over the air)
Enhanced Google Map
Fix-to correct AT&T Messages name display issue within AT&T folder on the Home screen (wrapping of “s” to the second line)
Ready2Go enhancements
Your phone after the update:
Android version: 4.2.2
Baseband version: M8974A-AAAANAZM-1.0.190034
Kernel version: 3.4.0
Build number: JDQ39B
The Software Version: D80010o
Files Size: 57 MB
To check for the update, head into Settings>About device>Software update >Update Now.
Note: if you are rooted & wish to keep your rooting don't update at the moment, TWRP doesn't support the new update
Update Failure
I have the AT&T LG G2 D800.
When I manually update, it stops at 9MB then cannot download. It says the server unavailable after and that the server will automatically check for updates in 48 hours. I have done this 2 times now and this keeps happening. Anyone know how I can get the update OTA successfully without any rooting, etc. involved?
Does it matter if I have the AT&T apps disabled?
Thanks.
UPDATES
12/31/13 - Have tried this numerous times on two LG G2 D800s and always get the same problem ("Cannot download" after ~10% download).
+1
Mine stops after a few MB, and then tells me to retry in 24 hours.
For those that were able to update, can you pull the modem?
I get an error when it tries to install.

There's a patch against loki for D80010o in github as of 2 days ago. Give it a few days for TWRP to catch up.
Locations
Can everyone with the AT&T LG G2 D800 state whether they received the D80010o update or not and their respective locations? I am wondering whether we have to wait for the update to be rolled out to specific locations on a schedule.
at home, the update would stop around 10% or so and give up (network retry timeout perhaps???).
I attempted the update here on my work network, and it downloaded in about 2 minutes.
So perhaps all those of us that were perceiving errors, were on slow networks and the ATT server cut us off.
mine goes to 1% while installing and then errors. when it boots back up it tells me its because I'm rooted. I've seen other people who are rooted take the update though.
Download Success!

This was the solution for me. I found a faster internet connection and I was able to download the update. Thanks! :good:
I have an OPO with the following firmware:
Cyanogen OS: 11.0-XNPH05Q
Android: 4.4.4
A while ago I upgraded to CM12 and decided I didn't like it, primarily due to the MMS issue. So I restored to 11, until now and want to upgrade. I go to About phone > System updates and get the following:
"An update is available for your system
XNPH05Q Incremental
A Cyanogen OS update, XNPH05Q Incremental, is available for your phone. You will be notified when it is ready for installation.
This will prepare your device for upgrading to Cyanogen OS 12.0.
Update size: 8.7MB"
The problem is, when I press 'Download update', nothing happens. Nothing. Nada.
Some information which may be pertinent:
Constantly connected to Wi-Fi
Device is rooted
I am currently overseas (in another country away from my usual home)
Xposed Framework with Xprivacy installed (I have tried disabling Xposed but upgrade still doesn't work)
TWRP 2.8.5.1
Any suggestions?
SOLVED
The issue was that the System Update process was disabled in ES Task Manager. When I enabled the process, the download proceeded.
I have a Canada version of Moto G and use it in AT&T network; so far so good. Firmware was updated a while back when Android 5.0 first came up. The Android version became 5.0.2.
Baseband version: MSM86826BP_1032.3105.93.00R TELUS_CUST
Kernel version: 3.4.42-g5bed184 [email protected] Fri Jan 23 19:56:40 CST 2015
System version: 220.21.32 falcon_umts.Telus.en.CA tkpca
Build number: LXB22_46-32
In last week, I kept receiving Software Update Notice. I accepted the update. Update was downloaded to phone and I proceeded to install the update. Update failed to install in the middle of the process. Phone reboot and back to version 5.0.2. A message showed up saying that Software Update failed to install.
There was no error message indicating what went wrong. The Software Update keep showing up few times a day.
How to fix the update issue ? If it cannot be fixed, how could I turn off the software update notification ?
Thanks,
Ching-Ho Cheng

No change to the phone system since day 1 except to unlock bootloader. Everything is stock.
During software update, I saw the Android icon in middle of display with "star" thingy spinning in Android's "stomach". A progress bar was below the Android icon. Once the progress bar hit around 40%, Android icon changed to something else very quickly and disappeared (blank screen). Then phone rebooted.
I could not see the "error" icon at all, thing changed so fast .....
So also not rooted?

Not rooted.
i too face exactly same problem
I got no response from this thread. So I reflash stock 5.1 ROM to replace 5.0.2 ROM. So far so good.
I started receiving new software update notifications 2 days ago. I am in CA, USA. I never did the previous update because of bad things I read about it here and eventually, Alcatel stopped trying to push it out to my Idol 3 (5.5).
Does anyone know what this new update is?
What version are you in now? And what does the update tell you it is? Size?
Thanks!
Update (in the little pic of phone with download symbol) is 6.0.1-7VAB-UEB0. Underneath the little pic it says 010 01 (178.7MB)
My current version is 6.0.1
Under system updates (storage) it says my current version is 6.0.1-7VAB-UEB0. So I guess 010 01 is the actual update??
It's probably a security and big fix update, given the small size of the update.
