Hello All,
I am very thankful to XDA as i got so many questions solved in here from past.
earlier i was using xperia mini pro. I had rooted, opened boot loader, changed ROM, kernel , finally i made a ftf backup in such a way that what ever the software problems MAY BE DEAD/HARD BRICK i use to flash set with ftf file and my tiny set is up.
I am happy that all these i have achieved because of XDA i am again thank full to XDA and all tecs helping here and the members who are raising good questions and new ideas.
Now i have purchased micromax a100 can any body help with the below things please
1. I want to backup my stock firmware like explained in below link for xperia mini pro (*** not stock ROM. because boot fails we can't load ROM)

2. I want to root micromax a100. i visited the below link and tried to root with both methods but got failed.

as i am unable to respond for the thread which speaks about rooting of micromax a100. i am replying here.
there is one issue which i met was;
when i started .bat file it asked me "please press any key to continue" and according to instruction i waited for mobile reboot and it never happened. finally i came to know that for first time we should not wait for reboot of mobile.:good::good::good:
can any body let me know about the backup of complete firmware including kernel and boot loader settings.

first thanks for replu atleast some one replied.
actually I want to backup of complete firmware as done for xperia minipro kindly visit the thread it is very nice no need of service center for any software problem. I need something like that for micromax a100.

i bought micromax a100 before 3 weeks and now it stopped working. it is not woking, just showing blank screen. i tried android recovery mode, but from there also not able to factory reset the phone. it gives me error system mounting failed. any idea how to make it working? i think device not able to find root partition.

For this reason only i am trying to find one or the other way in which we can directly flash MM a100 from computer without need of any root or some thing like that and it is possible only if,
1. need some flash tool (like SE flash tool for Soney Ericssion)
2. some procedure to extract entire firmware from mobile including the boot loader condition etc which can be directly written to chip.
but if you have not tried try the bellow link once it also may save your droid !!!!

Stock Rom Needed

I have rooted my Mircromax A100 soon after buying the phone.

Since I have the root level access I have modified a lot of stuff. Last night during some notification bar theme installation with Rom Tool Box Pro my phone got hanged. When i pulled out my battery is not booting, its stays idle in the black screen. Now i desperately need the stock ROM for my phone. I tried hard reset (factory reset), even that is not able to fix this.:crying:

Hi Aftab actually i typed a reply and gave submit, but i am unable to see that in thread as well as sent folder also, any way let me retype again,
I am happy, yes yes finally your idea of that pda net worked for my MMX A100 and I have installed the CWM, but one suggestion if any one is using this pda net method let them try with the version 2.xxx because i took latest version and sucked for 2.5 hours, and also i have installed pda net same version manually on mobile because system was unable to install it to my mobile
Also one more request if you have CM7 custom rom for MMX A100 please let me know because till today what ever i have used i found CM7 as comfortable and stable.
I am doing backup of my rom and i will inform you in next week about the behaver of phone after installing this CWM.
any way still my final goal of the thread not completed i will contact you again, thanks thanks let me know if i can hit one more thanks for you i will do that.:highfive::highfive::highfive:

First is first. If it is an unofficial version, have you checked whether the ROM you downloaded is compatible with your Device? I presume that you are fully aware of the steps involved in flashing a custom ROM.

dude i don t know where u took v5 cuz its not released yet so if u took that one where its written dev only don t ask for a tutorial ITS FOR DEV ONLY!
then put a link of what u installed please just to make sure of what u flashed then i maybe could help u
about gapps for miui roms most of the time the dev incorporate it in rom so u don t need it
hello i have searched all over and i cant get any help! Yesterday i updated my samsung 551 2.2 frameware to 2.3.6 now i was trying to root it and it keeps on telling me failed (SuperOneClick) i search all over to see if anyone has the same problem but i can seem to find any help!...no where . So i decided i was gonna try and downgrade it back to 2.2 so i can be able to install the Jelly Bean 4.2 custom ROM but now i cant even downgrade or ROOT it can someone please tell me what to do i dont know what else to do please!...i really want to root it to put on the Jelly Bean 4.2! CUSTOM ROM

Download z4root app from here.
Install the app on your mobile and root the mobile with this app.
I guess this will permanent root your device.

Given how long this device has been around, there are plenty of guides on how to achieve what you want - you just need to search and read.
As a hit though, the Stock ICS ROM was cr4p - it was only really released for developers to modify and build from. If you want ICS then use one of the many custom ROMs on here, but please don't ask which one; read the threads, decide what features you want and then try some of them.

I have found some roms here in xda, but not completely sure about how to update,
My main aim is to increase internal memory from 1 gb to maximum.
and second aim is to get any update on jellybean like lolipop or Marshmellow
I request you to please guide me step by step to update rom. am new n never did anything recovery mode.

firstly, if u want to update your mobile then there are lots of rom available in this forum. but majority are jellybean. rite now there is no stable kitkat rom due to kernel issue and have battery drain. but still if u want to try for something new u can try it.
