hello i have searched all over and i cant get any help! Yesterday i updated my samsung 551 2.2 frameware to 2.3.6 now i was trying to root it and it keeps on telling me failed (SuperOneClick) i search all over to see if anyone has the same problem but i can seem to find any help!...no where . So i decided i was gonna try and downgrade it back to 2.2 so i can be able to install the Jelly Bean 4.2 custom ROM but now i cant even downgrade or ROOT it can someone please tell me what to do i dont know what else to do please!...i really want to root it to put on the Jelly Bean 4.2! CUSTOM ROM

Download z4root app from here.
Install the app on your mobile and root the mobile with this app.
I guess this will permanent root your device.

Hey thanx much bro i found a app on another site at the last minute after i made this post and it roots it perfectly now i have JB 4.2 running jst trying to get the google apps to work now! thnx for ur reply if u have any help on the google apps on jelly bean 4.2 for 551 lemmie knw bro thanx

pleaze help me i reffered the threads on rooting the phone on ics as im no longer on gingerbread i cant find ny help for ics.....

i searched for India ics and got this post.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1936931&highlight=india+ics
it seems you have to factory reset your phone and try.. Im on the asia retail leak and rooting by this method worked fine for me.. but i dunno if it works on the OTA ics update.
Just a small pointer, all the questions in the Q&A forum..

thankyou very much i followed and rooted my phone it always asks for superuser acess wat is that plz telll....
and in case i need to unroot my phone then wat shood i dooo plz be kind enough and tell me this last thing...............
for all the apps that require root, superuser will ask for your permission to grant the app root access (its like the authority for root access ). Its needed and it just asks once for each app.. Unless you select to ask for the permission everytime you turn on that particular app.
The way to unroot is fxz back to GB or ICS (FXZing to GB is possible from the Indian(AsiaRetail) OTA ICS update)
Check this link to know a general idea about fxz..
Can any of the DEVELOPERS Kindly help the xTouch users to root their devices. cause many applications which are Actually usefull are in need of rooting. Please Help us. not only me. all the xtouch users. It would be very kind of all the Xtouch users. thank u. May b later on you can make custom roms for xtouch too. but at first we need rooting for now.

A device is known as rooted when u can have access to the Directory File or as known As the ROM Drive. and xtouch will never come as rooted.

Can somebody give me a link on how to root this version because i searched everywhere and didn't find a solution. I want to make his device faster with android 4.2 or 4.1 as a present for his birthday. Thank you.

Recently i m observing software updates for my cell on Google but when i access those links they are invalid!
I really want to update my Jelly Bean 4.1.2 to Jelly Bean 4.3 or if possible to Jelly Bean 4.4. Kitkat
Please can anyone help me with this? Can anyone please post valid links for downloading Rom?? I will always be indebted to u if u do so
Also can anyone please find CWM for my cell i m hunting for it past 1 month but in vain. Please help me i have heard and read about this forum its the best forum for andriod rooting. Looking forward eagerly for your help

I am too waiting for karbonn a27 update to android 4.3 ,but non of the links for rom file downloads works....
Well there arent many roms for a27 thaats sure but use can use mods for your a27...
