My device does not recognize the sim more - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

I have the efs folder, the folder imei! But I have no signal .. I type this on the keypad
* # 06 # IMEI only comes out and I can only click ok! What should I do??
My device does not recognize the sim more

I have the same problem. I tried restoring the same by following certain procedures using ADB, but with no success. Please help.

i have the same problem. This seems like a hardware problem. i went to service center they said motherboard has to be changed and the price was so high for a 2 year old phone so i left the center lol. Hope there will be a way to fix it. I also have my efs backup but it didn't work

I too faced the same problem, but I solved it by installing a fresh gingerbread DDLF2 2.3.6 through odin and voila... I got the signals back.!!

[Q] Sim card not recognized after LG P500 last update

Hi there,
Some days ago I posted this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1144937
I didn't have any chance to fulfill my request, but it's not the important thing.
So, I have a fully functioning P500, except that sim cards I insert in it are not detected, I have a "No sim card" Icone in the status bar. So my question is simple, do you know or did you have this probleme? Do you know where I could ask my question to have answers?
which update are u talking about??
Nevermind, it was the 2.3.3 20g from LG leak. Indeed, LGMDP bricked my GSM in the NV2 backup process. Another LG P500 finally gave me his NV2 backup, I restored it on my phone and now it works.
i have the same problem.
and i have no idea where i can get NV2 file.
somebody help me please.
no service
just that I root my P500, I put the latest mik_os' CyanogenMod 7 and my phone turned on, works perfectly, but get the error "no service" and does not recognize any SIM card. I did update from the official version 2.3.3 (where I had no problem) to version CyanogenMod 7.
I searched all forum and out of solution and I found no solution to the problem.
please help me
Did you try another sim card? Once my optimus broke my sim, I had to change it

Sigh. Kindly click the link in my signature and downgrade your baseband. CM7 ROMs will NOT work with the new baseband (official 2.3.3)
This post saved my mobile. So i will put an explain here to someone who is having the same problem. Try this: Go to LGMDP v1.5 connect your mobile and make a nv2 backup. if the backup has less than 150kb the nv2 of your mobile is corrupted, so you will need one nv2 backup from someone. If it have more than 150kb, the nv2 is OK and this is not your problem. My problem was with the nv2 (mine was 15kb), after fixing, it went to 179kb.
Sorry my bad english, i'm brazilian =D

Hello guys!
I updated to LG stock 2.3.3 on my LG Optimus One. After, I upgraded to Cyanogenmod 7.1 (2.3.4 android).
I noticed that my GSM is not working. I changed my nv2.
I can see the network operators, but when i try to connect to them, my phone says: "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network."
Can someone send me a good NV2? Please guys, Pm it!
And i need advice in injecting the NV2 file that (i hope) you will send me.
Thanks guys!
Can anybody share P500 nv file?
it will work for cyanogen rom and stock froyo n if you want to use official gingerbread then use this backup and then flash new v20g baseband. if you have any problem then see doktornotor's baseband upgarde/downgrade guide

If your phone is on a prepaid plan, and the account has been inactive for a certain period (90 days-telus) not getting connectivity is because your account has been cancelled. Once you get your account reactivated you will get service and data back

Things like this is not always related to nv2, and nv2 repair should be done only after other methods have failed. And remember you can get into big trouble using other people's nv2 in the same country

My account is not cancelled. After the update everything was working perfect but around 2 weeks after i just lost signal on the phone. It sometimes works and sudddenly stops working displaying "Emergency calls only" but is not a coverage issue. I flashed the new baseband again and nothing. I downgraded to froyo en restore the nandroid backup and still i have the same problem. What else can i do? i think i tried everything i've read on related threats but nothing seems to work for me. I thought my nv file was corrupted but it is of the same size of the nv from a friend's phone working on the same network (179kb)

[URGENT] Need help please. INTERNAL SD CARD CORRUPTED!!!

Hi all,
I have a Samsung Galaxy SL i9003 XXKPH and skin's CF root installed. Everything was working fine until yesterday my mobile started behaving weirdly. If I let it stay for a while, and press the home button it wouldn't start. I had to remove the battery and boot again. When it boots up, I get the initial setup screen like language settings, email setup, etc in a nutshell it got resetted. This was happening for almost 5 times yesterday. Today I faced the same issue but my mobile wouldn't go past the boot screen this time. It kept bootlooping. I tried to restore via CWM restore but it threw an error "CAN"T MOUNT /SYSTEM". I kept receiving the following errors
i got error message 'e: can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p3'
got E:format_volume: rfs format failed on /dev/block/mmcblk0p3, after flash
I tried to flash XXKPH again but no luck. I noticed a few times its getting past the boot logo and I see the homescreen but in MY FILES, it displays "YOU DO NOT HAVE A SD CARD INSERTED"
My questions are:
* Has anyone faced this problem already? If so please provide me a fix.
* If no fix can be given, and if I take it to the samsung service center the warranty is applicable or it gets void?
Please guys help me. Lots of thanks!!!

The issue you reported was that of SoD reported by some in the Skin's OC kernel.
What did you try to do? Did you flashed only KPH PDA? If yes. Try to flash with all the files of XXKPE(pit, bootloader, pda, modem), then KPH over it. Se if this solves your problem.

If not, Flash your original ROM(the one tat came with your phone), cook a good story & head on to the service center..

Thanks Ronhoover. I downgraded my firmware from gingerbread to froyo(DXKF1).
Installation went successfully and got my homescreen but still when I open "MY FILES" it displays "YOU DO NOT HAVE SD CARD INSERTED" though I've inserted a 8 GB external card. One doubt though, if I go back to the samsung service centre with this firmware, Can I get a warranty? Can they detect what all I've done before?

No they will not detect anything until u flashed other rom other than stock. U just flash stock rom then make a good fake story to tell service center & tell them to flash back firmware & make phone like when I purchaed it.
This i a well know problem with the sg1 i9000,there was some bad memory chips ,shipped, some had luck by just flashing a complete full rom, like mine, others had to send the device to Samsung.

Well I tried by two ways. I browsed through settings and selected SD and Phone storage and tried to format it. It displays SD is not mounted and though I select format SD card nothing happens. Secondly, I tried to connect the device in MASS STORAGE but windows wouldn't detect it.
It is probably a hardware fault and should be covered regardless.

Flashed to DDKB2 and gave the phone to samsung service center. Keeping my fingers crossed as they will let me know the status by today evening.
dear dude_rocks
please can you update us
@ahmed,
I've given my mobile for service. They said its motherboard problem. I'm waiting for the spare part. Probably I'll be getting mine next week.
was getting multiple "Internal SD Card unexpectedly removed" errors - if i flashed other ROMS (and the service centre did the same, they flashed 2 ROMs) id either keep getting this error or it'd do a restart+bootloop which would require me to pull the battery.
Finally got the service centre to replace the PBA mainboard. they did that 1 hr ago so now hoping no more restarts/force closes. they put my on 2.3.6 (indian version DDKP3).
Also, the best part....my internal SD now shows 11.73GB earlier showed 1.52GB

[Q] HELP! Data but no signal!

So I started today feeling a little creative so I flashed the newest MIUI ROM, there was a data issue that I tried to work out and in the end screwed everything up.
I lost signal but I have data.
I have tried probably 10 ROMs and the same has happened, I am getting a roaming sign, but it shows I have bars (I am connected to a wireless repeater so full service all the time on 3g).
What in the world do I do? I've seriously tried everything. I flashed back to stock through ODIN and nothing still.
PLEASE tell me someone has seen heard this problem... WHAT DO I DO?
Thanks in advance...

How I Fixed It
Hey there. Not sure if your still having this problem, but I ran into the same issue with my new phone after rooting, unlocking bootloader, and flashing MIUI. To fix it, I had to odin to stock (Pre-Jellybean for the Samsung Utility), which I got from here: http://hotfile.com/dl/169363562/8975152/SCH-I535_VZW_I535VRALG1_I535VZWALG1.zip.html%20
Then I ran the Samsung Repair Utility from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1867442&page=18
The Samsung Repair Utility said my ERI was present and my IMEI was accurate per the back of my phone. Desperate, I ran the "Repair ERI" anyway which made no difference until I followed the OP's directions to dial the code to run the factory reset if the tool didn't work. That seemed to do the trick :victory:
Good Luck.

[Q] Service Problem

Hey guys,
I bought a used phone on ebay, which was in a boot loop.
I fixed the boot loop by flashing a stock rom with flash tool. After that I unlocked the bootloader and tried a ICS rom. It worked fine, but I couldn't connect to a network (no service, wifi works). It tried different sim cards and providers... all with the same issue. If I want to connect manually to a network a message pops up: Your sim card cant connect to this network. The crazy thing is that if I search for networks I find my network but cant connect...
So I thougt there may be a problem with the rom or the kernel->I tried various roms and kernels -> all have the same issues
Maybe go back to stock will fix the problem -> :crying: No I tried it.
I just don't know, what is wrong with this phone. I'm new to SE devices, so I might have done something wrong(?).
I hope someone of you can help me getting the device work.
Thanks in advance

Maybe it's sim locked?
dial *#*#7378423#*#* , look under service info -> SIM lock

Need help to get IMEI, BT address back on MMX A110

Hi Dear Fellow Team members,
My MMX A110 had ghost touch issue. After trying out various options in XDA, I finally decided to replace digitizer and handed over it to a local technician who agreed to change digitzer.
He kept phone for 4 days and at last said to me that this is problem due to software and not due to hardware and since, I am using custom ROM, he is not able to do anything.
I took back the Phone and tried to flash stock ICS V1 ROM using SP Flash tool. First it was throwing error at various places, then I decided to format and flash. I formatted the EMMC (no NVRAM ) and then flashed the stock ROM.
It flashed well, but touch issue were not removed entirely, though it had reduced considerably.
then i thought to format full EMMC and then reflash. SP flash tool advised me to download instead of firmware upgrade and I did the same.
Post restart, I found 3 issues viz. NVRAM issue in WIFI, InValid IMEI & Unknown BT address.
I fixed NVRAM issue in WIFI by rooting and pasting WIFI & WIFI_CUSTOM files.
for Invalid IMEI, I tried using SN Write Tool 2.1124.1, however it stucks at step : select target to connect.
I tried with/without battery, only power, power + volume, but it never went past that. BT address is still pending.
Can someone help me to get past the SN tool or any other solution as well as I want to fix BT address issue as well.
Is it possible to find out various nos. (BT Address, WiFI MAC address, etc.._ using the device SN.
Please reply back with solutions.
Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi,
First I think you must have tried *#06# from your dialpad for IMEI. If not try that first. Then check out the below procedure
Hope you have rooted your phone & If rooted try the following.
1) Install Root Explorer
2) Using Root Explorer you must replace modem.img from the archive to this location of the phone /etc/firmware/.modem.img (do not delete the old file & just replace it). While copying if it says Access denied press "Mount R/W" on top right corner of the Root explorer.
Set permissions for the .modem.img file to rw-r--r-- ( Hope you know how to set it. Just press and hold for a while in the appearing menu select permissions and then move on ) . If permissions menu says access denied again see the top right corner and switch it it R/O.
3) Restart the phone and it might work & if not go to next step
IMEI information is stored in /data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI/MP0B_001. Maybe changing of your original IMEI is not good idea because it is against the law but if you don't have copy of that file BEFORE the factory reset you can use temporary IMEI file located in the archive.
Will try

Hi Sansans90,
I had flashed multiple Custom ROMs earlier including CanGalaxy. since, I got Ghost touch issue, and technician told it is software issue and not a hardware issue, I flashed ICS Stock ROM V1 using SP Flash tool. Then I rooted it again in order to fix NVRAM, IMEI & BT Address issues after flashing Stock ROM.

Hi Asif,
Flashing Stock ICS V1 ROM either formatting partial or full flash didn't solve touch issue.

@priyarupesh
ICS flashing is not needed. Flash official Micromax Jelly bean Stock ROM & after go to developer options and then disable all under drawing menu.
I have written a detailed procedure on how to solve the Nvram issue. Take a look. See if it helps.
