Hi Dear Fellow Team members,
My MMX A110 had ghost touch issue. After trying out various options in XDA, I finally decided to replace digitizer and handed over it to a local technician who agreed to change digitzer.
He kept phone for 4 days and at last said to me that this is problem due to software and not due to hardware and since, I am using custom ROM, he is not able to do anything.
I took back the Phone and tried to flash stock ICS V1 ROM using SP Flash tool. First it was throwing error at various places, then I decided to format and flash. I formatted the EMMC (no NVRAM ) and then flashed the stock ROM.
It flashed well, but touch issue were not removed entirely, though it had reduced considerably.
then i thought to format full EMMC and then reflash. SP flash tool advised me to download instead of firmware upgrade and I did the same.
Post restart, I found 3 issues viz. NVRAM issue in WIFI, InValid IMEI & Unknown BT address.
I fixed NVRAM issue in WIFI by rooting and pasting WIFI & WIFI_CUSTOM files.
for Invalid IMEI, I tried using SN Write Tool 2.1124.1, however it stucks at step : select target to connect.
I tried with/without battery, only power, power + volume, but it never went past that. BT address is still pending.
Can someone help me to get past the SN tool or any other solution as well as I want to fix BT address issue as well.
Is it possible to find out various nos. (BT Address, WiFI MAC address, etc.._ using the device SN.
Please reply back with solutions.
Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi,
First I think you must have tried *#06# from your dialpad for IMEI. If not try that first. Then check out the below procedure
Hope you have rooted your phone & If rooted try the following.
1) Install Root Explorer
2) Using Root Explorer you must replace modem.img from the archive to this location of the phone /etc/firmware/.modem.img (do not delete the old file & just replace it). While copying if it says Access denied press "Mount R/W" on top right corner of the Root explorer.
Set permissions for the .modem.img file to rw-r--r-- ( Hope you know how to set it. Just press and hold for a while in the appearing menu select permissions and then move on ) . If permissions menu says access denied again see the top right corner and switch it it R/O.
3) Restart the phone and it might work & if not go to next step
IMEI information is stored in /data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI/MP0B_001. Maybe changing of your original IMEI is not good idea because it is against the law but if you don't have copy of that file BEFORE the factory reset you can use temporary IMEI file located in the archive.
Will try

Hi Sansans90,
I had flashed multiple Custom ROMs earlier including CanGalaxy. since, I got Ghost touch issue, and technician told it is software issue and not a hardware issue, I flashed ICS Stock ROM V1 using SP Flash tool. Then I rooted it again in order to fix NVRAM, IMEI & BT Address issues after flashing Stock ROM.

ICS flashing is not needed. Flash official Micromax Jelly bean Stock ROM & after go to developer options and then disable all under drawing menu.
I have written a detailed procedure on how to solve the Nvram issue. Take a look. See if it helps.

Whenever I open the Camera app on my Galaxy Y pro Duos Gt-5512, it shows this awkward view on the display (as if some special effect is switched on). the 1st and 2nd files attached down show the view at the display of my phone whenever I open the camera app,
The 3rd image is the similar to 1st one using other(normal) camera.
In the rear camera mode when I click the capture icon on the screen it shows the error (shown in 4th image) it doesn't capture the image and the camera application exits. Also when I switch to front facing camera it shows the same awkward colors but I am able to capture the image using the front camera(it doesn't give any error, that is how I am able to attach the 1st and 2nd image.).
What shall I do to bring back the original colors in my camera?
PS- I have changed the phone's firmware couple of times. I even flashed the factory firmware, still its the same story. At present I use Custom ROM (Hatyon ROM v1.1), and Compact kernel 2.5.

I'm encountering the same issue. However the phone I'm fixing is a Samsung GT-B5510 which is the single SIM version of GT-B5512.
Were you able to solve this issue already?
I have tried the following:
1. Wipe data / cache - it didn't solve the issue
I will have to try this when I get the phone back:
[http]://forums.androidcentral.com/verizon-fascinate-rooting-roms-hacks/59818-howto-fix-camera-failed-error-2.html
You can try this one out if this would work. Since wiping, reflashing doesn't work, it could be an issue with the data stored in the SD card as pointed out in the URL above.

Thanks for trying it out.
I'm not pretty sure if the cause was when the Samsung's latest OTA firmware update was applied. So far that was the only thing that the owner reported. Though he hasn't tried using the camera right after the update was applied. 2-3 months have passed before he tried using the camera app again then found out that it's throwing the error.
So the assumption is, the official firmware update caused the issue.

Hello everyone,
I just joined this forum and i need some help.
I've got a very wierd problem with my samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0
Tablet: Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 GT-P3110 model.
Android: ver. 4.1.2
So the story behind my tablet is that my dad bought it when he working in another country, when he came back he told me that he had a broken galaxy tab 2 and he asked me to try to fix it,the problem he reported was that the tablet sometimes restarts, alot of programs have crashes and the wierdest thing is that, when I turn it off and then turn on the device (or simply restart it) the system is restored to some earlier state, this includes:
1. Apps I've deleted are still installed.
2. Widgets or app shortcuts on 'home' pages are still on their old place though I've rearranged them.
3. Same with wallpapers.
4. Same with settings.
So i tried the following:
1. Factory reset + cache clean. Even though it is supposed to be a full system wipe, it doesn't work.
2. Reinstalling a Stock ROM via ODIN. Doesn't work either and it takes about an hour to do...it says it was successful but it doesn't change anything in the tablet.
Also there is a notice in android recovery, which states:
did not match sized '/system/csc/common/system/csc/feature.xml' (no data available)
This device wasn't rooted.
So i you would ask you guys for some help, thanks.

My line of thought is that if you do root it, you can format the system partition which would more than likely fix this issue. But like I said, more than likely, there's no guarantee because it might be a hardware issue. Have you considered sending it in for repair? Since it's not rooted they would do it. If you don't care to send it in and are just trying stuff to see if you can get it working again, then rooting it wouldn't hurt anything. But that's your choice.

OK, so here's where just rooting won't help. You have two options: 1) Find the stock ROM at Samsung and have it on your SD card. Or 2) choose another ROM. Whichever you choose is up to you. You're going to have to format your system in the custom recovery, by doing this your tab is wiped of all info including the stock ROM. If you format system you won't be able to boot into your tab without flashing another ROM after. If I'm repeating stuff you know, I apologize. You'll need the ROM you choose on your external sd card, because you'll want to completely format everything (except your ext sd). If you know all this, try it out and see if it helps. If you want to learn more and the steps, PM me, I'll help as much as I can!

Hi, i'm facing the same issue here. Then I've try to root the phone but failed. Can help me too Sir?
For now it can't repaired, It,s known as emmc brickbug, find the xda forum thru Playstore emmc brickbug check. In Indonesia there is website that claim can repair it by replacing the emmc chip/internal memory, but it's not proven yet, since no body in our Galaxy Tab 2 facebook group has confirmed it. More than 15 people in the group has reported this bug, and the only way to fix it is by replacing the mainboard in Samsung Service Center. I also have replaced my wife Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 mainboard with the same case. In Indonesia the cost is about US$100

These problems occur each time one flashes a custom ROM or even when you do a factory reset. What you need to do is getMTK_ NVRAM TOOL.zip Use it to back up your stock IMEI number(s) and toto restore it after flashing a new ROM. It is very simple to use.
I upgraded throughteh LG PC Suite, and it went easy and fast. But I have a camera problem now , every time I need the camera, I always get an error messgae and I have to restart the phone.
1- Is there any solution to that ?
2- Is there any newer ROM than the one I amusing now or even a down grade to KK again ? May be this will solve the problem ..
I have another problem but it happens before the upgrade, the very upper left corner of the screen is not repsonding, this is a big problem for many apps, as thier menu start there.
Any soultion.
Thank you all in advance.
@mseif try to clear data and cache for Camera app and then try to use Camera again. If that doesn't solve your problem than factory reset your phone. It's always a good option to factory reset the phone after major firmware upgrades to prevent such kind of problems.
As I remember there is also an option in LG PC Suite for reinstalling phone firmware in case of some upgrade errors. Maybe you could try that too...
If everything fails you can also try something that i have posted recently on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3256974

http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
The page will open with the link of the latest KDZ file (Lollipop) for the exact model of your G Pro 2 so you can download it.

\thnak you again, I did and this is the ROM I found " http://pkg02.xcdn.gdms.lge.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=FW6472IF22TKAY60CE64OUE/F350L20b_00.kdz" . This is the same one I installed 2 days ago, and led to that camera mis behave. Strange enough although the link and the name of the ROM is F350L20b, but after installation it is written in the mobile as F350L20f , and not 20 b . `Any expanation?
Try first to delete data and cache of Camera app or to factory reset the phone. Flashing your phone with KDZ file should be your last resort if everything else doesn't work. Read the guides carefully. Everything is explained in the links that I have posted previously...

The mac address is also changed to 02:00:00:... Previously it was something d9:..... It dont remember that.
I saw a youtube video how to fix that https://youtu.be/RHGQn0Av2hI it says that i have to put some file named Wcxxxxxxxxx.bin in root /persist

No i didnt change kernel. I am with kernel which was with the build.
Should i try any custom kernel
at this point you need your wifi back. Do you have any back up that you can restore? flash official build , or another custom rom, flah a kernel...just get the thing working. I have had that issue before on a different phone after flashing a kernel, something got corrupted so try another.

Wifi is working again.
I installed certificate from adclear app and rebooted. The reboot was stucked at google logo for around 60-90 seconds and then boot animation started.
i started cleaning my interner storage as i was preparing to backup on pc and flash mra58k image. And uninstalled android authority app. And deleting all the folders that were just eating space.
Any ways thanks for your replies.
My mac address also is reverted back to original one.
The wpa supplicant is also now having around 10-12 lines then my wifi details.
Can anyone explain what happened.

I wiped befire flahing kernel.
Also tried paranoid v4.45 kitkat rom but in that also wifi didnt worked.
It's not software. It's failing hardware. Your Bluetooth will also stop working, as it's the same chip. Mine does the same thing. I've flashed multiple ROMs and tried changing wifi system files. Nothing has helped...

I bought my Nexus 5 the first month it came out. Since then I have never touched the original system or even root it. About a month ago my wifi suddenly stopped working. I have decided to root and flash roms, after factory reset and basic solutions on google didn't work. I have tried a couple of different roms all on android 6 and 7. Wifi still not working. I havent tried flashing kernel and I don't have a file called /persist in the main directory...
EDIT: Cellular data & Bluetooth working.
If changing software and resetting doesn't fix the wifi problem, it's probably a defective wifi chip. I have two nexus 5 motherboards in my desk drawer with no wifi (tries turn on but never does or turns on then off by itself) but cell and Bluetooth work.
