Yo guys, back again this time with a carbon rom port. I don't have a Desire S so i'm gonna need yall to test if it boots.
I'm using devil-kin's kernel for cm10.2 and coderz's carbon rom for mytouch 4g.

Good news.. it boots.
All the app icons, statusbar icons, everything is really really small, bit strange looking, cant take screenshot coz it says iv no sdcard and u need the sdcard to take pictures. The camera does work its just the sdcard problem, wifi n everything else seems to work fine. I had to restore nandroid coz im using my DS again for a while and need everything working.
So main issue - sdcard
After that id say its good to release

Thanks, those bugs should be very easy to fix. Hopefully saga owners will have a fully working carbon rom soon...
you should change build prop line "ro.sf.lcd_density=182" to ro.sf.lcd_density=240 thats unless u wanted everything to be tiny haha.

Maybe, but I kind of deleted all the stuff off of my computer, so I'd need a little bit to restart
K if you get time to download make fix plz do it. ROM have many feature which I love like halo.
Really would be thankful to yours dedication towards Ds.

Lol eh I do what I can, just trying to give people options on what roms to run as a daily driver. I'm still on mokee its nice and smooth and with the ics theme looks like ics lol.

And is anyone else or just me feeling a little bit laggy when pressing power button to go into power menu? and laggy when going to any menu in the power menu like reboot or sth?
And am I wrong or there is not a file explorer app by default :? :" (tell me I am wrong :s) and I have no root permission when using titanium :s...but the busybox installer said I am rooted @@...guess there's somthing wrong w my phone eh :?

Mokee comes with no file explorer but I'll put one in the next update as for root if your having trouble just download superiser app from play store and you'll be good

You should put on Solid Explorer, it's really nice

Liking the rom. Only thing Im finding is you have to install superuser. E'ffin FB has me liking supersu and it would not acquire root access. Installed superuser then give supersu #su and uninstalled superuser.
Also my initial install was missing things like status bar, settings and such. Did a F/S/D/W and reflashed the rom everything was fine.
Some menus still have Chinese kinda wish I knew how to read it.

I'm currently on CyanogenMod 7.2.0 RC1 R10. Do i need to do anything special to install this or can i just flash the .zip?
Ive wondered the same, do we have to do the efs backup and restore or can we just wide data and flash?

Superuser is a known issue idk why the one built in the ssettings doesn't work but ill look into it. As for the Chinese ill decompile the settings and try n translate the chinese.
for cm people I would back up ur efs to the desktop just in case and still do efs backup flashable

Wipe data flash .zip. Working fine so far.
You don't need to do the efs-backup if you have the .tar on your sdcard
And I concur with Erik, having your efs-backup.tar and the md5 saved to your comp is a very good idea
The steps I took to make sure I didn't have any probs was from recovery (already on mtd) factory/ data reset, format system, flash efs-restore.zip, flash ROM, reboot and let cook/ bake...

im kind of having problems with text messages. when i sent a text, the other person doesnt recieve it, but other well recieve the message but not one person, i dont know if its a ROM issue or what...anyone else having this problem too??

If I remember right then kernel needs to have ext enabled within.
This mod basically remaps the search button to activate the recent apps ICS style

Note If the mod doesn't work at first try mounting the system first before flashing
As for CM9 all you need to do is change SEARCH to APP_SWITCH in the following files
After doing so just save changes and reboot

No there is an option in recovery where you can mount the system
Do that first then flash the file

Sure but you need to change some stuff
Go there in root explorer and find the two files that have the word SEARCH and change that to APP_SWITCH and save and exit
Now download the file for b40 and extract everything with root explorer
Erase the keylayout files cuz those are specific to the sensation
Zip back together the file and flash it through recovery
If you dont know what the hell im talking about just upload the two files i told you before and ill do it for you

No i think I can do that. I already have the app switch part done... it brings up pre ics switching though. I'll report back tomorrow... going to do a clean wipe and install the latest version. We are almost getting night lies as our dev is still putting the final touches on it for m6

It is already unchecked. Let me explain, I have an on screen mouse, with the phone's screen as its track pad.. I can slow down the mouse's speed from settings>language and input>pointer speed. But can't completely remove the mouse. Help!!!

i know what you mean, that shouldnt be happening. thats long outdated way of using touch when DHD didnt have its drivers figured out back at 4.0 release
honestly, i dont know how you did that. ive been trying to figure out how to MAKE it do that when i want to.
EDIT: i did a clean wipe with blank install before i uploaded to make sure major stuff like that wasnt happening

Dunno what the problem is. I tried again with full wipe. No luck. Downloading again in case download was corrupt. Can you post the md5?

I don't use auto bright but I turned it on to check and it dimmed the screen but then it doesn't react to light so no it doesn't work.

I tested almost 2 days and everything was working. (data, wifi, BT,GPS,calls). The ROM does have root access, I installed Root Explorer and follow directions to set permissions for the app. Drove me nuts for a few minutes thinking I screwed something up. Any app that requires root access will ask to set permissions. Highly customizable ROM. CAM works same as CM9 from TFQ. Give it a go and let me know what you think

If you use Titanium Backup, be patient with it. You have to answer a million questions about giving root access. It eventually grants acess.
I also tested music player and its amazing. Volume controls were working correctly. Good luck and enjoy

miui just release their patch rom source they didn't release full source in english so except for official builds everythign is ported from somewhere actually even some officials are ported from a similar phone like i9000 builds are ported from Nexus S.

Really like this rom! I miss miui from when I had the vibrant...I can't find anything wrong with this rom except for the buttons not lighting up issue & I tried to use a theme n it didn't work. But all in all I'm enjoying it! Thanks flyer!

Beautiful rom, MIUI was my rom of choice when I had my ATT SGS2. Having run into any issues yet, except I can't apply themes. Also, when I've used MIUI in the past, I was able to swipe the notification bar a certain way and open up the app drawer. I think there was a zip or something to make that doable,but it's been a while so I can't remember. Is there something like that available for this rom? Is there, or will there be a fix for the theme issue?

2.8.10 is the last ICS Miui build after that they went JB .... a quick google search would of answered that.

Yes, I found that issue too. Just finished fixing it and rebuilding the rom.

Thanks for the work on this ROM . Its probably the most fun I've had with one, since you can easily mod the colors and stuff. Anyway the only problem I have is the WiFi signal and battery won't accept the color changes, but the clock will. Also the analog clock won't work, keeps throwing up a message saying it has stopped working. I know these are very minor but pro lens none the less. Thanks again.

colors and clock working fine here. Possible dirty flash. Try rebooting and clearing caches and reinstalling
Thank you for this ROM, love all of the customization options. Flashed it this morning, and haven't run into any problems at all. As mentioned in the previous post, the battery/signal aren't accepting color changes for me either, but its not big deal at all. Great job, thanks for your contribution!
BTW, will the lightning zap kernel work with this ROM?

LZ Kernel should work fine with this...
Problem with calls after using a headset
First i want to say I love this rom, seems to me to be the most stable jb rom i've tried. The only problem I seem to have is when I listen to audio (music, audio books) on headphones and a call comes in. When i unplug the headphones to answer the call I can't hear the other end and they can't hear me. The only way to fix it is to reboot the phone. Is anyone else having this problem?

If I am not mistaken when you have headphones in and unplug them it turns sound off. you need to go to the dialer and hit the sound button. Or just answer the call with the headphones in. Let me know if that works for you
Experienced a SOD/reboot during a phone call today. 1st time I've experienced a problem while using this ROM. Had to hold the power button for 10 secs on lieu of a battery pull. Has this happened to anyone else?

This ROM works excellent for me. I might have the SOD maybe twice a day, but it's not bad considering I flashed CM9>CM10>AOKP without wiping data. I use this ROM as a daily driver with mods.

This is my daily driver to and I absolutely LOVE it. I was just wondering b/c up to this point probs whatsoever. Since there isn't a q&a for this ROM I had no way of knowing if it was an isolated thing with me. Definitely not a deal breaker tho

I've always loved AOKP. I especially love the Unicorn Porn. Lol. The customization is so epic.! But one question.. Is there a way to enabled CRT-Off animation.? Or does this not include it.?
