I am a Android newbie related to XDA dev team ! Just got my Byond B63 rooted after trying numerous methods in the forum.
Provided some apps with root access to tweak most from my phone running Android 4.1.1.
Now decided to try a new custom ROM for my device which I could not find anywhere.
Is there any custom ROM for my MTK 6577, qHD, 512MB RAM device ? If it is not there yet, whether using custom ROM for MTK6577 of other device advisable ?
Please let me know if any info about device is needed further !

Today I saw One-more link mentioning new Kernel & ROM for MT6577 phone.

My phone Lava Iris 454 has same chip-set with 4.5" display.
Please let me know how to port this Kit-Kat ROM to my device which is now running Custom 4.2.2 ROM with 3.4.0 Kernel (only Camera Bug).

but i have faith in the devs that they will port it our our devices

Calm down guys.This is fourth official Kitkat to mediatek.First was lenevo,second elephone and third was zoppo.But we were unable to port any of these.Why?I dont know.....the only reason i see that there is lack of modules folder under lib directory which helps rom to boot.When the firmware of Mmx a106 will be available then i will surely check.

You can install the unofficial ports of cm11 or aokp or omni
all of them are kitkat

The V3 rom is not custom... it is stock rom... i personally prefer V1 but it's up to you which one to use... V3 doesnt have bugs (minor ones maybe) and can flashed for daily use
Kitkat is available only for mt6592... Others have to wait...

if you wanna port ROM from another phone then you have to make some changes in ported ROM and to sync you device sources with it ...it is not an easy thing to do at all
