I have rooted and installed xRecovery on my old Xperia X8, everything fine there. I wanted to install Ginger DX custom rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1188486. My phone is a version which can't have bootloader unlocked, or it will hardbrick, so I needed to install this rom for stock kernel. I got to recovery mode, backed up, wiped cache, factory reseted, and installed the rom, all fine til there. So when I made it reboot, i turned off and got stuck on "Sony Ericsson" screen. I waited some time, and when I saw it wasn't rebooting, I took out the battery, and when I rebooted it, it got stuck in the same screen. Also I can't seen to get to recovery mode by clicking "back" several times. Someone please help me, the phone is old, but it's the only one my brother has
last night i have install an application when i open it then my phone giving me an error like android. is stop working and after thet i just switch of my phone n my phone is stuck onto moto m logo iv tried to hard reset so the recovery pannal is comming but after clicking on recovery option my phone shows again moto turning on symbol and turn off cant access my recovery options also and my phone is non roorting phone plz help what to do
It would help to know what app you installed on this non rooted phone that could've caused this. you could try wiping data in fastboot
My xperia p is rooted and bootloader is unlocked. I tried honami moon walker and didnt like it. So restored it to my old back I took using CWM recovery backup.
I dont know if it got restored properly. I mean I was in honami moon walker and just restored the old backup which is jellybean os. Was it the way to do?
And then I tried to unlock the bootloader to try more roms like cyanogen. but the phone doesnt stay in fastboot mode or the violet light goes faster before I point to the customized interface file in my system. When I pointed, it told "windows was able to find the driver but unable to install it". Cannot find the file specified. I used an application quick boot(Reboot) to get into fastboot mode which was easy. But all in vain. In the process of getting into fastboot mode, I never got out. The screen will be blank.
Then I will try restarting by pressing the power and volume up buttons together and restoring to the old back up I took already.
Now whenever I restart my phone, it gets stuck with the sony logo and it keep restarting. Before trying the power plus volume up combination, it may stay in a blank screen with 2 pixel sized blinks on the two sides of the bottom screen.
So now I am afraid to restart my phone itself. Because it never restarts the phone but gets stuck with the sony logo and then I have to restore it to the old back up.
What should I do? I want to keep my phone rooted and unlock the bootloader and try new roms.
Hi, I got problem with my xperia e3. Some days ago my phone got stuck in boot loop I go through sony care they fixed it. Since then whenever I try to update the pre installed apps it again starts to boot loop, I did hard reset through pc companion but then whenever I update the apps it again goes to restart loop. Any solution to it?
I downloaded an Xperia update today and installed it.
However the update seems to have affected my screen in that, if i switch on the phone it loads up until the lock screen, so the screen is still working, but then it immediately goes black, not allowing me to unlock the phone.
The phone is working as i can hear notifications and it is charging.
I thought i could reinstall the update through Xperia Companion but it is telling me to unlock the phone first, which i cannot do because fo the black screen.
If i go to repair the update in Xperia Companion, then that will delete all of my data which i don't want to do.
So i thought i could backup my data first........but to do so i need to change to MTP mode.......and to do so i need to unlock my phone!!
So i'm stuck with a phone that was bricked by the Xperia update.
Can anyone please offer advice on how i can get my phone working again???
Phone is an Xperia Z3+ with stock OS, not rooted as i could never find a way to do it!
