hi guys, as we noticed, the Acer Iconia Tab B1-A71 came without any sim card slot which causes us to connected to internet via Wifi only.. I'm wondering, is it possible for us to connect the tablet to USB Modem using Micro USB cable so we could access internet anytime anywhere using our mobile usb modem.. Is that possible? Will the device support the modem via usb cable?
Yes yu can try to... Many tabs without sim slot support usb modem...morover yu can use reverse wifi tethering through usb to access internet through any pc or laptop.

I have the Acer Iconia Tab A511 and the USB connection is not working!
It's configured as MTP on the tab and the latest drivers from Acer are installed on the PC. I connect the tab to the PC and hear the typical windows sound when you connect a new device. Few seconds later, I see my tab as new drive. So when I click on it, the drive is empty! There is nothing on it and I can't move or copy anything.
What is going wrong? I tried two USB cables, none of them worked. Or is the USB connection just working with an external SD Card in the tab?
Any help would be appreciated!

I am having Micromax Magnus A117 mobile phone. It's working fine till now. Now a day I am facing one problem regarding USB connectivity.
Whenever I connect mobile phone to my laptop using USB cable, and choose the option of USB storage then only one drive i.e. Internal Memory is being displayed in the laptop. External Memory card is not shown. I had inserted Micro SD cardo 16 GB.
after disconnecting phone from laptop, apps that are installed in memory card is not shown. after rebotting the phone, again its working fine.
please resolve this issue

Acer iconia B1-730 unable to open exteral usb .
I trying with Astro file manager and File expert. I use regular usb and sd card in adapter. It iz connected with usb2usb mini cable.
There is no device specific forum, you may wish to ask here. /general/help

Hello! First of all thank you for creating the thread in the XDA Assist forum.
You need to reply me just three questions:
1. Which is your device?
2. Did you try with another USB storages to see if he recognizes it?
3. Did you download a file explorer to see if your USB OTG is recognized?
Please help in connecting my tab to hard drive or pendrive.
When i connect my pendrive using otg cable there is no notification or any device recognised in my folder.
Company says my tab supports up to1 tb harddisk.
Device configuration:
Iball slide brace x1 tablet 10"
Android version 4.4 KitKat
Rom 16 gb
Ram 2gb
