does it say revolutionary or something else?
in any case it makes things easier
with supercid you can use any ruu.exe you want
i don't know which one is for your region but if you want to use the european one here you go
http://hotfile.com/dl/176652568/312....24A.3504.31_M_release_280871_signed.exe.html
in my opinion the device comes with custom rom and custom recovery that's why you can't do official updates
do you know if it has a custom recovery installed?

ok then
i saw that you want ARHD 7.3 ROM(custom rom)
if you still want it then:
are you rooted?
if not then use the one click root tool from here(nothing else)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1661631
then install 4ext updater app
link in my signature
from the app install 4ext recovery
then from this thread flash 3.33 universal firmware
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
follow the instructions to the letter
and before flashing check md5 sums(important)
after firmware upgrade(ics) your current rom(gingerbread) won't boot
so flash ARHD 7.3 ROM from recovery
done

Since, I can(t do something because I"m blocking with S-ON boolloader version 1.17.005...
PS : HTC Sensation 2.3.3 SFR stock ROM

about to get this phone. Roms?

ill be rooting this, how do i get ics? do i have to flash a ruu then flash roms? or if i want, i just flash sensation xe roms and im good to go? please help
Right now there are a couple of ICS roms.
Personally I'm using ARHD's ICS rom & it works perfectly with a good battery life.
Follow the steps here till after writing SuperCID.
For ICS ROM, you would need to flash firmware from 3.12.401.2/102 RUU from here.
For support for newer ICS rom's like ARHD's. All 4.0.3 ICS Roms runs on 3.12.401.2/102
& It's been said that this firmware runs good with Gingerbread too.
-Warning Only Flash after Rooting-
Heres the one I'm using. ARHD
The guide to do this can be found at ARHD's post itself under the "How to Flash" Section.
Hopes this helps!
can you tell me the steps to flash the ruu?
i download the file, and i put it in root of sdcard and i go to bootloader or fastboot and flash?
do i have to check anything before doing this? thanks. and will it brick my phone?

you MUST do Super CID. Set it to 11111111.
MAKE SURE IT IS 11111111 BEFORE FLASHING.
If not it might cause issues like bricking.

Find a RUU for your operator (or a one with Europe in the name). I have several RUU in My hTC Files in the signature.
If you get any error messages, you can boot the phone to bootmenu only, and then start the RUU.:good:

You cannot flash a custom ROM or kernel with a locked bootloader.
If you have noticed .. when we boot into the bootloader.. the Hboot verifies some images PJxxxx... A locked bootloader will search for all the images i.e. stock system.img stock boot.img recovery.img and i think userdata.img too...
And we cannot " LOCK " our bootloader once it is unlocked. We can only " RELOCK " it..
Stock Recovery ? I havent tried but check THIS out..
Cheers bro.
Thanks. I got stock recovery from there...
I know about "relocked" thing but I had saw somewhere that appropriate RUU can make it "Locked"..
I've not tried yet as I've not found any RUU for mine...

If you have anything except a signed HTC official RUU on your phone, and you "relock" your bootloader, your phone wont go past the hboot... First hand experience says so..
If you wanna lock your bootloader, you MUST have an RUU ready to install.. A locked bootloader wont even let you boot into a custom rom/recovery..
Even "fastboot boot" wont work...

I don't think both are signed by HTC. If what sachin said about -The signatures used on Rom and boot should match -
Then both won't work -you'll be stuck at fastboot.

On older HTC devices and most other devices, you can relock the bootloader even while using custom ROMs and kernels. But now HTC doesn't want us to relock bootloader except for flashing signed images. You can try flashing the signed (unmodified) images of stock kernel, ROM and recovery manually and then relocking. I'm not sure whether this would work, I can't even imagine going back to stock ROM :silly:

I believe the stock 1.43 boot is untouched. Not sure whether the system partition's signature is verified as it's too large. You can try 1.43 boot.img along with the recovery image from latest RUU
BTW, if your radio is 1.11.82.30 you can also try searching for an RUU with a newer radio version
