I downloaded android Marshmallow B511 and was already on android 5.1,I extracted the update file and applied it on my Huawei ascend mate 7 MTL09. The operation reached 99% and the update failed,the phone was stacked on Huawei logo.I then took the phone to the repairs. Now the phone is working with android 6.0 but my fingerprint is no more recognised,not even seen under settings. I've tried whatever I could but still not working. ...somebody please help me out. My father had a problem with his Honor 8. When the new update was released it bricked the phone. Using the DLOAD, we were able to fix this problem, however he was still experiencing regular unwanted reboots. He decided to try changing the firmware again using the rollback file (from android 7.0 to 6.0) on a phone that was already on Android 6.0... Now the phone reboots on his own to the blue honor log screen and doesn't get out of it. We are not able to shut it off, nor go to DLOAD or anything. The only thing I was able to achieve was going to the fastboot. Anything else won't work.
The phone is an Honor 8 bought on Aliexpress. It's a AL10 version but the buyer had the FRD-L19 firmware installed on it. With the DLOAD, the last firmware the phone was on, was an EMUI 4.1 Android 6.0 L19 firmware.
Anyone has any solution in order to install newly a firmware and unbrick the phone please ?

Hey i think there is a problem with new update , mine too experience same in my case my device is FRD-L02 . After several times i left the phone to Honor CARE. they said it takes upto 10-15 days also said they will replace the motherboard.
So just give it to care before with lock bootloader , dont unlock the bootloader in this case otherwise it will costs a lot. have a good day.

The instant solution. Dc-pheonix , use it , buy 15 credits worth 15 euros ,flash with firmware. Then rebrand your Honor 8 using the guide here on XDA. Njoy.

Thanks for all you answers. The phone is still under warranty so I contacted Alianz since I had a 1 year repair warranty possibilty and I sent the phone to them. I'm now waiting for them to tell me what's going to happen with the phone.
I'll keep you updated with what's going to happen and when we'll get the phone back

I got the phone back from warranty and they solved the problem. I can't really tell what they did because the paper that came with it wasn't very detailed. But the phone is working perfectly anyway.

I have this phone and Huawei pushed an OTA and now my phone is on B126 rom build. Now my phone is having problems and it hangs, some apps don't work, battery drains and so on. I would like to downgrade to B124 what I had before and that one worked great.
I found Update.app of the B124, but I cannot install it with phone's update app. It opens recovery and it says partition error.
I don't know how to install that.

Hi guys, i decided to write here because im a little bit desperate now...
Yesterday i updated my mate 9 who was in MHA-L09C432B198 firmware (not oreo) via firmware finder. I've checked the oreo update MHA-L09C185B360(8.0.0.360) and was approved for install ans also with my IMEI. All seemed good but when the phone updated and restarted, it remained stuck on eRecovery.
After following some tutorials there on the forum to use the FF to install again a new approved firmware ive decided to go by the cash path and i tried Funky Huawei. It never worked neither .
When I've tried to install a new firmware the phone said that couldn't so i wasted 5 credits downloading and failing every time.
Please guys, did someone passed through this situation and solved it? My phone bootloader is locked and never installed a twrp...

I had a similar problem with a new phone bought for my mother and resolved it by installing HiSuite on my PC. Then using HiSuite the phone detected a new version and installed it.
After that first update, disconnected the phone from the PC and the phone was able to detect more updates by itself.

If the phone of your mother was initally stuck to ELE-L09 9.10.260(C431E4), could you please tell me what is the last version she got with the updates?

After applying only one update with HiSuite by clicking the System Update button, I don't remember the version but it was another 9.x release, I was able to update the phone without issues using the phone over Wifi up to latest 10.1.0.191(C431E27R2P5).
Why didn't my Honor 8A update emui 10? Always stuck in emui 9.1.0
