Hello
The SIM is unlocked by default in this device. But the US GSM frequencies are blocked. You can use it outside the US with any SIM card but not inside the US. No root needed.

this can be unlocked to be used with other RUIM (SIM), you may require the software for this purpose
Hi everyone. I received the unlock code from AT&T and after I insert my non AT&T sim card and boot the phone up, I don't get the network unlock prompt. I get "sim not provisioned mm #2" how do I get the unlock prompt to come back up? I was rooted and running CM 7, but flashed it back to a the non rooted HTC stock rom from HTC's website. Any help/ideas are appreciated!
Are you SIM unlocked or bootloader unlocked? How did you root?

I'm sorry, I don't understand the difference between SIM unlocked & bootloader unlocked, I just want it unlocked so it can be used on different carriers. AT&T has already given me the code to use.
When I rooted, I used aahk, but when I put the stock HTC rom back, I lost root access.
Are you still S-Off? Which carrier's SIM are you trying to use? Some carriers lock their SIM cards, so only SIM unlocking the phone doesn't work.

Since you used the aahk and are still soff than you already have Sim unlock. Not all carriers and Sims play nice with unlocked phones. Sometimes a different Sim will do the trick.
Example when I had unlocked my iPhone way back in the day (original) it would not work using my sisters tmo Sim but it would on my brothers tmo sim

Sim not provisioned mm#2 usually means the Sim card hasn't been activated, if the phone was Sim locked you would be prompted for the unlock code. Sounds like you're ready to go

I guys I bought a Galaxy S6 SM-920I (Claro Puerto Rico) im trying to sim unlock it to use it with AT&T nobody like UnlockUnit.com and other pages can't find a unlock code for my phone. Can I unlock this one?
Please Help!
Somebody? anybody? PLEASE lol!
Are you sure that the SIM is Locked?
You should be able to just pop in an AT&T sim card if it really is a 920I. The ones I was looking at shopping all said they were unlocked, or region specific unlocked to North/South America carriers. Are you really getting a sim unlock prompt when you turn on the phone with the AT&T sim inside?
Yes I'm gettin a sim unlock code for some reason I right that the international S6 would be unlocked but is locked to Claro Puerto Rico!!!

Yes I get a sim unlock code when I enter my AT&T SIM card for some reason apparently that SM-920I is locked to the carrier Claro here on Puerto Rico
I need some help and advise here.
If a latest phone (lg v50) is locked to SPRINT in the USA, will a UK network sim work in it in the UK? If so, what UK network sim will work in a sprint locked phone?
Or will it need to be unlocked first?
If it needs to be unlocked, is it possible to unlock sprint locked phones WITHOUT going to sprint? Inserting another network sim gives the message "Invalid sim" without any way to insert an unlock code.
Any info greatly appreciated.
Seems I can get a great deal on a US unlocked Note20, but for my use case I want to dual sim it with a physical Verizon Sim and a T-Mobile e-Sim.
Can I do this with the unlocked phone, or is there a way to flash the firmware to the T-Mobile ROM to be able to do this? Do I lose anything by buying a U1 generic unlocked version?

I am using the same setup with a U1 device. Flash TMobile firmware, instructions are in one of the threads here.
I have question if I flash T-Mobile firmware, what bloatware comes with it. Secondly both sims can be non-T-Mobile or eSim can be only T-Mobile and nano sim from other carrier?
Both sims can be non TMobile.
