[Q] [Kernel][CM9 - CM10.2] Default Kernels Collection - General Questions and Answers

Hi guys
I've just signed up to this brilliant site and have been following the above thread and wanted to post this question there but wasn't able to, so here goes......
I have flashed my Samsung Galaxy Wi8150 with [ROM][JB][4.3.1][JLS36I] CyanogenMod 10.2 Alpha (Build 1) which installed Kernel v3.4.65 as standard. There is a new Kernel v3.4.66 which I am thinking of using but my question is.........
Does this new Kernel give a better Battery Life than the previous one since this seems to be one of the slightly problematic issues with this build?
Thanks in advance. :good:

[Q] Foxhound Rom Update Question

I am new to this forum so first of all hello
I have been running the Batista70 FOXHOUND EDITION 0.4 Rom on my Galaxy S2 and its working great.
Now for the question, I have been searching high a low and I can't find out where Im going wrong here.
I want to update it to version 0.5, should there be a updater or something included with the rom? I can't find anything at all.
From what I can tell in the development thread there should be something in there to set up the sever and whatnot for updates. Or do I just have to install them from zips in cwm like when you first put it on?
Thanks in advance

FYI there is no such thing as a good ROM for overclocking as it is the kernel not the ROM that does the overclocking. All the kernels are in the original android development section and are on the first page of that section.

I am running Liquidsmooth's RC1. They are releasing their update soon,
Does anyone have a favorite TW based ROM? I am looking for one based on 4.2. I also heard the international 4.2.1 has been leaded. Has anyone tried creating a ROM based on this release? The TW ROMs just look nices than the AOSP despite all the unnecessary features that are loaded.
The international version of the s 3 has different hardware then the US versions making the leak difficult to port. Also there isn't any TW 4.2 ROMs for this phone as Samsung is working on 4.1.2. Lastly we at XDA have realized that what works for one person doesn't work for others so it is best to check out the ROMs yourself and see what works best for YOU.

[Q] Supernexus Build 5

Hi My question relates to this ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...creen&page=132
Seems I am not allowed to post there, so if some one in admin can relate the question to the developer, I have his ROM installed and working nicely, I also have the CM10.1 lastest nightly build installed in a backup, have been switching between the two testing.
I have no technical issues.
I notice that in the supernexus build I cant edit the lock screen, and there seems to be other options missing which I thought were part of the stock Android 4.2.2 and not just special to the CM10.1. Question to the developer is what am I missing?
Using SGS3 International i9300
Thanks.

[Completed] Custom ROMs For HTC One V (Differences, Bugs, Info)

Hello,
I am new to this site, and new to this thing, but I am interested to update my HTC one V with some custom ROM (jellybean or higher) and I wanna know some info about which one is the most stable and popular one, with no bugs or trivial bugs.. It is frustrating because they are plenty of ROMs and kernels here.. and what is the difference between AOSP and AOKP version? somewhere I read that aokp is less stable but better... I actually want features included RAM and CPU clocking, because this is the coolest thing in these custom ROMs.. :cyclops:
- I have HTC one V (GSM) rooted and bootloader unlocked
- I have CWM recovery 6.0.3.3 installed
- I have official android v4.0.3
so which ROM you guys prefer to me and which kernel that goes along? and is my CWM version ok or I need other one?.. I really want to get more of this phone than I am getting now.. it's a really nice phone but it's a bit lazy when operating tasks, so it's not for impatient users
I am new to this, but I somehow succeeded to root my V, thanks for detailed instructions on this site, so thanks to you guys ..now I just have to update my ROM, and I will be more than happy
