Speeding up/refreshing my Relay? - Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G

I've been getting frustrated with my phone for a while due to it being extremely sluggish, with apps frequently crashing, random reboots, and just not having a smooth experience with the usability. I'm a stock user, and don't really want to go to CM due to the lack of WiFi Calling. Is there anything I can do to speed up my experience with this phone? I've got a ton of apps on it, but try to delete anything that autostarts which I don't use.
I've read something about debloated JB out there. Where can I find this? Would this be the best option, or should I format everything and redownload apps in the hope that it will be a bit speedier again? Any advice would be appreciated...

I didn't have any of those problems while running stock. I'd suggest doing a factory reset and then reload apps a few at a time to see if the problem suddenly returns. If so, you know that one of your apps isn't playing nice.
You can manually disable a lot of the built in junk with titanium backup manager, which will get you most of the way to the debloated image.

Apps NEVER finish downloading when on 3G

I've been having this really annoying problem lately, where apps just refuse to finish downloading whenever I'm on 3G. They usually go to maybe 25% or so, then just stop there. I can even have full bars and that happens to me.
Whats weird though is that my internet is just as fast as it should be, especially when I use the browser or anything that involves surfing the internet. I've tried many different roms and no matter what I still get this problem. When I'm on WiFi though the apps update or download just fine.
Anyone know of a fix/ have come across this problem as well?

Since you tried different roms, that would rule out most software issues. Have you tried deleting and reinstalling market? Have you flashed it back to stock and did a master clear? Could possibly be a hardware issue? If its still under warranty, I would flash it back to stock and see about trading it in.
I haven't tried flashing back to stock because I figured, like you said, it may be a hardware issue. But its weird that its only affecting the market though
You never know...its worth a shot. And another thing...if you are performing backups through Titianium Backup...are you backing up and restoring system data? That has also known to cause problems.
The route I would take to troubleshoot this...I would do a flash back to stock and master clear. And do absolutely nothing else to it, just for troubleshooting purposes. That way you know you are starting on a stock fresh clean slate. Get logged into the market and test. If it continues to do it, I would do a warranty exchange. If it fixes it, then you know you have something going on with your configuration or maybe corrupt data.
I have this problem on Wifi when I use the Bill to Account method of payment. If I use my credit card billing, there is no issue. If I want a smooth app purchase from Market using the Bill to method I have to go via 3G. Might not be related, but thought I'd mention it.

[Q] web browser forcecloses

i have a rooted TF w/Krakd rom, which i've had done for quite sometime now
last night i just notice that for some reason my web browser randomly forcecloses now, anybody have any ideas why?
Same herebut with tons of apps. Market, Dolphin for Pad, Launcher, etc... wth? I even wiped and started fresh and I'm still having problems.
Any ideas?
Yeah...problem with going to a custom ROM too soon without giving the stock ROM a good test drive...so I always wonder if I would have run into the same problems if I had just stuck with stock.
I have the stock ROM backed up...but don't feel like spending time to customize again.
it just started doing this, besides i don't think i could ever run stock

Missing data after reboot? Help!

Hi guys, i was playing a game called F18 Carrier Landing, when my phone froze. I long held the power button so that it could reboot. After it rebooted, i unlocked it, and it gave me the interface as if i freshly flashed a new rom or i did a factory reset (the interface asking about google and setting up accounts). So, i completed that and once my home screen popped up, i faced a few force closes, from titanium backup, my anti-virus software Avast, and various other applications. I was very freaked out at this point. I remember reading something about fixing permissions if i faced constant force closes, so i rebooted to recovery and fixed permissions. Booted up fine, still missing data, but no force closes. But my google maps does not seem to work, i open it and it opens to the orange-ish checkerboard backing, but then force closes. I'm not exactly sure what to do at this point. Can anyone advise me on what to do or if this ever happened to them? For reference, i'm still on Froyo (don't ask why) 2.2.1, ROM's Audiophile Redux by Raver. If you require additional info to help me find a solution, i will gladly comply. Thanks!
EDIT1: I uninstalled my Maps with Titanium and restored a really old version from September of last year, and it seems to be working. Or atleast it opens and loads.
EDIT2: It seems to only load apps stored on my internal/phone storage. As i checked Applications in settings, the SD tab was empty as if there are not apps from the SD card installed, what can i do about this?
This has happened to many of us on GB. Crazy it happened on Froyo. You are going to need to reinstall your missing apps. If it is similar to what happened to us your phone factory reset on it's own.
Alright thanks, when it happened i thought it was a pretty serious problem, but as i restore my apps from Titanium, i realize it's not that bad. Just glad to know i wasn't alone on this ordeal. I plan on hopping onto AOKP or maybe MIUI when my contract ends, this phone is just to valuable to me at the moment. They both seem so fast and amazing, plus AOKP has themes. K, so quick question, do you know the reason behind this, i mean, is my SD corrupted or something? I can still play the music and the videos from it on my phone, but i don't understand why it wouldn't read the apps on the SD.
None of us have nailed down the cause unfortunately.
Thanks anyways, up and running with most of my apps back. Gotta get around to flashing a new ROM someday. So many good one's coming out!

HTC Status won't update to 2.3.5

My girlfriend's phone won't update. It says it's too low on memory, that I need at least 25MB, and redirects me to some page where I can uninstall apps or something. Really strange. When I go to settings page, it says there's nearly 100MB of free memory! I tried rebooting, uninstalling apps, force closing some apps. Nothing seems to work. I don't think I want to root and flash a ROM because from what I see, CM7 doesn't have a front camera working and CM9 is still unstable. I don't want to introduce new problems to her phone. And I'm hoping the update helps stabilize her phone because it has been frustrating her lately.

[Q] Processes randomly start, and kill my battery life

Alright fellas. Help me out. Just recently switched from the S4 to the G3. Everything seems great. I rooted, reinstalled my apps via Titanium Backup. Recently I've noticed that app processes like FB, FB messenger, shazam will start automatically. I'll go and force close them, but a few minutes later they're back up. As you know the G3 has 3GB of RAM, and on avg when I boot up my phone I have 1.5GB already used!?! My battery drains quite frequently. I was at 100% this morning, had my phone in my car for 8hrs and noticed it was at 40%. Anyone else experiencing this issue? I'm contemplating on just reloading the stock ROM and installing everything from scratch.
I have Bootmanager installed, but apparently it doesnt work as advertised. Let me know if you need anything from me. TIA!
Update
*Update* So I ended up flashing the stock rom. I then installed the apps individually. Seems to be running a whole lot better than before. Still can't figure out why some process seem to start without my interaction. I rarely ever use Youtube, however the process is always running...

If you are willing, I highly recommend trying a custom ROM. Lately the G3 has been gettingits share of ROM - even AOSP - goodness. Idk if it will actually help, but it might be worth a try. Just follow the directions and dont brick.
