[GT-P6200] Official ICS 4.0.4 firmware (Nov 2012) [STOCK/UNROOTED]

Just saw the heat on the GT-P6210 UK firmware release and checked on Samfirmware.
Flashed this using Mobile ODIN directly OVER the KL3 deodexed firmware, no major issues so far (unable to set voicemail number).
All settings/prefs/apps preserved

Beware, extracted, this file is nearly 850Mb in size
Also, thanks to anyone who roots this!

** UPDATE **
Brand new UK P6200 firmware available dated November 2012
PDA: P6200XXLQ7
CSC: P6200XEULP1
http://www.hotfile.com/dl/179423658/bf830d8/P6200XXLQ7_P6200XEULP1_XEU.zip.html
Same as previous. I flashed this directly over my previous firmware using Mobile Odin Pro. I had to flash SuperSU binaries afterwards to gain proper root access.
Root is easy for this firmware!
When flashing via Mobile Odin, clear the flash for recovery image (i.e. do not flash recovery)
Then flash SuperSU afterwards via recovery

how much it take time, i flash with mobile odin about 20 minute ago and my tab still on samsung logo !
It should take up to 7 minutes to complete the process, including boot up.

Took mine around 5 minutes to flash, then another few mins to get to the "upgrading screen" (which is simply android creating the relevant dexes).

Should be no issues. I *would* flash the CWM recovery tho.
Uhm, for some strange reason none of my 2 PCs is able to see P6200 while in recovery mode. Everything is working fine if I connect my GS3 to those PCs. Any clue?
Try using Mobile Odin ;-)
It has worked pretty well for me.
Edit : I had a stock ROM / RECOVERY / ... Only rooted my device.
i'm mirroring the ICS Austria Firmware on media fire. Feel free to download.

you need to use pc + odin to flash this firmware. it doesn't require external sdcard. it is different when you flashing custom ROM, you need external sdcard to put the zip file.

Fix Bricked LG O1..

If you have flashed any wrong recovery image.. your phone didnt boot up.. its stucked in LG logo.. and you cant enter the recovery mode...but you must be able to enter emergency mode(volume down+back+power button)..
Dont worry you can fix your phone yourself with easy steps.
since i have also gone through this problem and solved it.. i wanna share it over here...
Process:
1. Download and Install LG Mobile Driver.
2. Download LG 3G Mobile Download Program
3. Download partition.mbn file
4. Download recovery.img file.(you can change recovery file if you want.)
5. Copy LG 3G Mobile Download Program, partition.mbn and recovery.img in single folder.
6. Enter emergency mode and plug in the USB data cable.
7. Open LG 3G Mobile Download Program.
8. Click Select Port. It should automatically detect the device in emergency mode if u have install the driver properly.
9. Click Connect.
10. Click the top most Browse tab. And select the folder where you have copied the LG 3G Mobile Download Program, partition.mbn and recovery.img. And just click ok 2 or 3 times.
It will detect your partition.mbn and recovery.img file.
11. Click Start (it will take a while to load your recovery file, dont panic) and you are done.. your phone will be restarted
You have now unbricked your phone. Now you can enter to recovery mode and flash rom and start using your O1.. :good:
Good Luck..!!!

Wonderful, I've been looking for this all afternoon. Yeah this can definitely be edited to increase the /system, /cache, and /recovery for JB.
In fact, I'm working on it right now.

[Noob Guide] How to Use odin GT-I8262 / I8260

Odin is the saviour tool for all Samsung devices. The method for flashing by Odin differs from device to device.
This thread will give step by step instructions on how to flash a stock rom from Odin on the GT-I8262/I8260 :
A. Download Odin tools from here Mod edit: Link removed.-Dev-Host links are no longer allowed on XDA.
B. Download the stock rom from*www.samfirmware.com
Setting up Odin :
1. Make sure you have installed the necessary drivers for this device.
The drivers can be installed from within KIES or seperately .
2. Run Odin as administrator.
*3. Setting up the files is divided in two types depending on the firmware type :
a. If the firmware is a multi package file, put the files in the corresponding sections.ie. CSC file in CSC section, PDA file in PDA section.
b. If the firmware is a single package, add the single file in the*PDA section.
4. Now that Odin is setup, put the phone in download mode.
To do that, power off the phone and press 'home+power+volume down' buttons together.
Keep the buttons pressed till Download mide appears.
5. Now that Odin and the phone are setup, connect the phone to the device. Odin will detect the device and show something like 'com port (1)'
6. Flash the device.
7. The flash will take 5 minutes for a full flash on average
8. When the flashing is complete, DO NOT remove the device until Odin shows ' PASS '.
9. The device will reboot. Remove the device, go to recovery mode and do a factory/data reset.
That's it. Happy flashing ..!!

Win 7 x86 in Mac OSX Virtual Box VM
Hi, I'm trying to run the Odin with a Windows 7 x86 VM over Mac OSX. The VM has 2GB of RAM and still given to be the message "Program too big to fit in memory.".
I got this message due I'm trying to execute the EXE file by CMD because when I tryed by double clicking a CMD window opened and closed without any action.
Is there a Mac OSX software like Odin?
Thanks.
thanks bro
Hi, i have some doubts about this process:
1) Does flashing stock fw removes TWRP custom recovery? I wannt to put I8260 completely in factory condition...
2) does flashing stock fw increments flash counter?
Thaxnx a lot friends!

developers plzzzz help

stuck with the error plzz help flashed stock with odin but remains at setup connection
screenshot
It happened with me sometime back; I tried download mode & it worked. However, recovery mode Home & Power buttons is not accesible.
Take out battery. Re-insert it & "cafefully" press & hold Volume down & Home & Power buttons together & u will enter download mode(yellow triangle). Flash the firmware as usual & see if it works.
not working with one package file it remain at setup connection
1st goto download mode & flash via Odin. U still HAVE download mode. Download mode doesn't vanish in such a case.
This screen in the pic appears when u access download mode & without proper flashing, trying to switch on the phone again. So it shows that symbol.
Do as what I said in the post above.

Have u made it to download mode or not yet?
done
Which firmware r u flashing? Use Odin v4.42 & filename of ops file should be exactly as BENI_v1.0.ops
I guess u need a froyo(4pkg) firmware.
I tried searching for nearly an hour but couldn't find.
Found the package file
Plz tell me the procedure to flash
Strictly follow the steps mentioned below:
Remember: Don't ever use firmwares made for GT-S5670i/GT-S5670L...etc. on devices like GT-S5670 (no appended alphabet here), coz it will brick ur phone.
First of all,
* Install samsung mobile driver on pc.
* Uninstall Kies(if installed); In some cases, it's also required to disable antivirus/firewall,...etc.(I don't know why).
* Preferably use laptop(for power backup & also it has good usb ports) with XP/Windows7(not Windows8)
* Goto "download mode" in the phone. Then connect it to pc.
* Open Odin v4.42.exe as administrator & you'll see "COM PORT MAPPING" box turned yellow(indicating that you've connected the phone to pc).
Please note that as soon as u select OPS file in the OPS field of Odin, the Odin straightaway displays the device model number in its title bar, regardless of whether ur phone is physically connected to pc or not.
Now set the files(according to which firmware u have) as follows:
For firmware containing 4 files(Note the beginning filenames)
OPS: BENI_v1.0.ops
BOOT: APBOOT_S5670.....
PHONE: MODEM_S5670.....
PDA: CODE_S5670.....
CSC: CSC_5670.....
Click "Start" & wait till Odin says "PASS". Don't touch ur phone during the process. Ur phone will reboot during the process & that's perfectly normal.
OR for firmware containing one file(Note the beginning filename)
Tick "One Package" field(below com port).
Now set the files as follows:
OPS: BENI_v1.0.ops
One Package: S5670...._HOME.tar.md5
Click "Start" & wait till Odin says "PASS". Don't touch ur phone during the process. Ur phone will reboot during the process & that's perfectly normal.
* Now ur firmware would have been flashed successfully. If ur phone bootloops(showing bootanimation again'n'again) then goto RECOVERY MODE(Press & hold Home+Power keys) & select "wipe data/factory reset" & "wipe cache partition"(Use "Volume up/down" to navigate up/down & "Home button" to select & "Power button" to go back to previous menu). Then select "reboot system now".
*DONE!!
Ur phone would be 100% alright now.
Please follow the sequence exactly as mentioned. U will not find any other way than this one. Although Screenshots are messy...I'm on mobile rite now
Hope this helps...!!
Using window xp but while running through administrater it ask for password but I have never done something like that
Sent from my A13-MID using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Enter ur login password :- The password that u use when the pc is turned/powered ON.
& if u don't know of such thing then ask it from the system administrator.
Can u plzzz tell me the procedure
Sent from my A13-MID using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I guess u don't know. So, only thing u can do(if u use others' pc/laptop) is kindly request them to allow u admin rights. Tell them ur phone's life is hanging in the balance & only they can save it.
Btw procedure is simple...U just need to enter admin username(if asked) & password in the "Open As Admin" dialog box of Odin.
And if u have ur own pc then u shouldn't have faced this problem.
my big bro have an laptop and when it boot it doesnot need password but while using run as adminstrator it is asking for a password
the only need is to make this phone a portable router i am having 2 pices of fit

I'm so lost, I just got the phone yesterday as well too
Do you have twrp? If so, you can sideload a rom. I think you could also mount your sdcard while you're in twrp, and browse it in Windows.

Download official firmware from sammobile if u want official, or a custom rom from here on XDA.
Link to YOUR phones official firmware: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G925W8/
(Please note that firmware downloads from Sammobile are very limited on speed if you are not a premium member. This download can take a few hours to complete)
If you have an official firmware downloaded:
1. extract the zip file to get your .tar.md5 file
2. turn your phone completely off, then back on in "download mode" you can do this by holding the volume down + home + power keys, then click volume up key to go into download/odin mode.
3. Connect your phone to your computer AFTER phone is in download mode and odin is opened and ready, you will then see it connected.
4. In odin, click on the "PDA" or "AP" (in some versions) button, and find your .tar.md5 file and add it.
5. When this is done make sure only F. Reset Time and Auto Reboot is checked, and most importantly, NOT Re-partition!!
6. Click start and wait for phone to automaticly get the firmware and reboot, when the ID:COM is green, and says completed, you may unplug your phone and set it up.
If you have downloaded a custom ROM from XDA:
1. Connect your phone to the computer.
2. Place the downloaded flashable ROM somewhere on your SD card.
3. Remove phone from PC
4. Boot phone into TWRP (custom recovery)
5. Do a data/factory reset
6. Choose install, find and select your file & click add.
7. Drag pointer to flash selected file.
8. For good spirits, do another wipe of ONLY "dalvic cache & cache" before you reboot phone to start it up.
Hope some of this information can be of any help to you just ask if anything is unclear / bad explained BEFORE you actually do something your unsure of!
Regards
- Renolz
Looks like you tried something without searching first
