why would you not just buy it on the play store? Besides, Best Buy is known for marking up phones' full prices.

Play store is usually bare minimum $100 cheaper than what the provider charges.

[i9023] Will the Nexus S be good for me?

I use my phone to text, call, listen to music and use android apps. Casually I play games like Roll in the Hole, Toki Tori, Flight Control and Where's My Water?.
Do you think that the Nexus S would be good for me?
I've got a deal with a 3 month old mint condition i9023 for 2000 SEK (290 USD, 188 GBP).

Although Nexus S isn't a cheap phone , but 290USD and for an I9023 used is a bit high...Look for a better deal or buy new from Amazon or eBay,get the I9020 AMOLED

I ordered my i9023 for $300 brand new. Got it from DailySteals when they had that deal going. So $290 is too high for a used one.

Unless you get really lucky like Feeshie than $290 is not a bad price. I did a quick search on many websites and average used price is $250-300. New price is $380-450.
Got mine few weeks back new for MYR 799 (~ USD260) from my carrier without contract. Think they are clearing the stock for Galaxy Nexus. Read on local forum that it got sold out pretty quick.
Paid $150 for mine from some dude that got it on contract for $99. He bought an iPhone.

A new Nexus S is 434 USD (282 GBP) in Sweden, and since it's 3 months old with no scratches what so ever, I think it's a good price.
Ya I got one a few months back for 300 euro new, delivered to my door from Spain. Cheapest I could find. If the one you are buying is good condition then go for it.
Nexus s would be great for what you listed. Go for it.

NEXUS 10

Hey guys,
Im trying to purchase the (Samsung) Nexus 10 tablet but both the 16 and 32 GB versions are sold out from the Play Store.
Does anyone know another website that has stock of them or a website where i can buy for the original price without paying 200$ more on amazon for example?
Any respones is appreciated.
Thank you
Chris---
I think Google is controling supply for marketing purpose, but will soon re-stock in the store.
Please be patient if you don't want to pay extra on Amazon.

You could always get gouged on ebay. They have them.

Likely places to buy

This will be my first Nexus so I'm not sure how you guys generally go about it. In addition to being on the Play store, are these usually sold by the big online retailers like Amazon? If so, would they be likely to have it immediately when it's released, or would Google hold onto some sort of "exclusive" sales period?
I do know that I'm not interested in buying it from AT&T just on general principles, but might consider some other non-Google source if I'm guaranteed availability & quick shipping.
I'm pretry sure best buy will have it along with tmobile. Best place to buy will probably be the play store. Also wrong section

I'm pretty sure that they will be offering the Nexus 5 on Amazon. I'm not completely sure because its Google ( unpredictable ), but the Nexus 7 (2013) was on Amazon, so I assume that the Nexus 5 will be too.
Probably just the playstore and possibly the carriers. Retailers would want a piece of the pie and these are already subsidized by Google at $350 ~
Usually sold only on playstore to start with, but Google may partner with amazon and best buy as well. But whatever it is place an order from play store as soon as the device goes for sale. Then look if you can get locally from best buy since you can always cancel or return the play store order.
My preference if it's available amazon, I will go for it with prime shipping. Always easy to deal with amazon customer service than Google or usually no clue best buy customer service.

This will be my first nexus too. If bought from a carrier, will they be adding their own bloat like they do on other phones or will it stay true to the stock android experience? Would you still get your updates from Google or are you stuck waiting for the carrier to push them out?

I hope to get it from T-Mobile (as long as they don't screw everyone over like they did with the Nexus 4 and offer it at a higher price) since I would be able to pay for it over 2 years and not have to pay full price right away.
Also, just read this on the official blog:
Nexus 5 will be available soon at the following retailers: Sprint, T-Mobile, Amazon, Best Buy and RadioShack.

I'm patiently waiting for amazon to sell it. It seems like no one has any information on that...yet.

They should be listing the phone within a few days.
Is that based on a source? Or just based on their track record with the Nexus 7 (2013) ?
Even if they don't list it until Nov 6th, i'd get it before i would have if ordered from the play store. I just hope its not a debacle like the chromecast. Then again, that was because of the netflix promo.

I'd like to know as well if this is from a source or just an educated guess. I have Amazon GCs I can use if it's not that long of a wait for Amazon to get it. T-Mobile's "in the coming weeks" makes it sound like it could take a month for them to get it and I don't know if they will increase the price like they did the Nexus 4.

The way I read that is it could be any time before Thanksgiving time so it could be a whole month before we see it at those retailers.

Does the Google Play Nexus 5 ever go on sale?

I know it just came out, but I do not need to buy one until February. Should I wait?

If you are waiting for Google Play Store, please don't wait for them. The best you can do is get free shipping or playstore credit. For retail, the price starts to come down after a few months. If it is close to Christmas, Easter or any major holidays then there are great deals to be taken.
On a new device like this, Google doesn't usually reduce the price. They may offer additional incentives for the holiday season, such as Play Store credit, free shipping, etc., but that's about it. The price won't be reduced until just before the next nexus phone is released, probably 4th quarter 2014. Of course, there's always the possibility of some crazy event affecting the norm... but I wouldn't count on it.
Phone is already cheap for what you get. Check out the Moto G for $200.

on sale!!?? just like the other user said the moto g mite be the phone for u.. the N5 is already crazy cheap for what u get.. do be honest one of the main reasons i got the n5 is the development it gets.. this is my first nexus phone and i love it.. i have had some many top of the line phone in the past 3 years and none of them come close to the love this phone gets.. i will never get another htc one.. or a galaxy phone again... im sticking with nexus:good:
I am fine with paying $349.That is a great price for the phone. What I am trying to decide is whether to purchase it now or wait for February when I will actually get to use the phone. I want to purchase it now, so that I can have it already. However, if it it might get reduced between now and then, it would be wise to wait. In the past have the prices stayed constant until the new model came out?

It dont get any better than what the price is on play store. Hell, I got a 32GB one and it was cheaper than what T-Mobile wanted for it. There's your savings lol

I'm done with Galaxy phones too. I booted up my S4 today to update it to the new MK2 OTA update because I'm getting it ready to sell. After a few weeks with my N5 I had already forgotten what a pain in the a$$ Knox is. Never again!

[Q] What is the best way to buy Nexus 5 in UK

Hello Nexus fans
I want to buy Nexus 5 32GB, but it is not available in my country, so my friend will bring it for me from London.
Is the best and cheapest way to buy Nexus 5 phone from google play store?
I want it unlocked.
Thanks!
Play Store is the best place

Amazon is also good if ordering from Play should not be possible.
It's best to get it straight from Google.
A few things though... currently you can only buy the white version (Black is out of stock).
If you're willing to wait, it's rumoured that google will be releasing multi coloured versions of the N5.
