Actually The reall Mi2 comes with an Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU.
The one with The mt6577 its an fake clone ( Google it ) so that 4.3 release is most probably just as fake as their 4.2 releases
The future for The Mediatek builds is on The Omni Rom project, and we need all of your support.

This will not work on other mobile. You may brick your phone permanantely.

In order to port a ROM the devices should atleast have the same resolution. The Canvas 2 has a screen resolution of 480x854 whereas the ZTE Grand the device listed above is qHD which is 540 x 960. So if someone can tell me a method of changing dpi and screen resolution according to our device, I would be happy to give a port a shot but kindly note I'm still a Novice so I'm still learning
hmm........i think ics n jb share same libs......first pull the libs file from the roms and copy it to jb rom it will work

Currently I am using Custom Radeon rom V1 for my MMX Canvas 2 A110
but in this rom all things same as Stock rom of mmx ..some feather added but some not working ..
conclusion ...not so Good for Canvas 2..:crying:
Can you tell me any Custom rom which is much better from stock rom, and please post step by step procedure of "how to install it"
as I m a mechanical Engineer not Software engg. so please do some needfull...

JB 4.3 for Micromax A110

We all know that the awesome hardworking devs at xda have already ported jb 4.2.2 rom to our device and it is virtually bugless now.
I have created this thread to discuss the development of jb 4.3 rom for mmx a110. As u may already know, mmx will soon release jb 4.3 update for its latest devices like canvas hd, 4, canvas 2 plus, etc, but it is doubtful if ever they will release 4.3 for mmx a110 becoz till now 4.2 itself has not come to our device.
Is it possible that we can port it from these phones? Though all these are q-cores.
Devs plz reply here.
i may not be much of an expert but after having seen the hard work and perseverance of our Canvas 2 devs.. i think that they will be able to do it too!
@sagarwep bro has already ported the Canvas 4 ROM for our phone.. so at least this is sure that quad core ROM's can be ported..
the next big question is.. will they be able to make it bugless?

hey guys wait untill any mediatek 6577 devices provider release update jb 4.3 their devices...after get updates it is possible to get jb 4.3 for mmx a110 device either...stay tune and wait for updates!

i believe micromax is testing kitkat ( i believe so and lets hope so ) by dubbing themselves as nokia
It says snapdragon processor. The cam is different. I don't believe mmx will change the UI from stock.

Calm down guys.This is fourth official Kitkat to mediatek.First was lenevo,second elephone and third was zoppo.But we were unable to port any of these.Why?I dont know.....the only reason i see that there is lack of modules folder under lib directory which helps rom to boot.When the firmware of Mmx a106 will be available then i will surely check.

You can install the unofficial ports of cm11 or aokp or omni

The V3 rom is not custom... it is stock rom... i personally prefer V1 but it's up to you which one to use... V3 doesnt have bugs (minor ones maybe) and can flashed for daily use
Kitkat is available only for mt6592... Others have to wait...

Canvas Logo Shows and after canvas logo shows black screen comes and phone goes restart every time.

Actually kashifmin uses philz recovery for canvas hd and install the ROM...
Try to flash with philz recovery only...
Check what happens...

@ejaz.msgs We can flash rom by Cwm dont worry there is problem in Kernel for now we have to disable Selinux and for disabling selinux we have to compile new kernel without selinux. I dont have time to compile my papers were going on..so wait when and watch what will be next.

We all know that porting a newer Android OS version to a MediaTek MT6589 chipset isn't an easy task... It has successfully booted on MMX Canvas HD A116 and MMX Canvas Magnus A117. But still, our Canvas 2+ isn't able to boot it up. :crying:
Wait for a few months. We had a stable KitKat ROM after almost 10 months after KK was announced, as CM11 booted successfully in April on a MT6589. But as we can see, Lollipop booted on MT6589 just after 2-3 months of announcement of Lollipop! So means we will get a Stable Lollipop ROM soon :fingers-crossed:
So lets hope for the best and enjoy the stable KitKat ROMs out there on our device!

Yes, you are right soon we had a Stable Lollipop ROM. For booting Lollipop ROM we need a kernel I have asked kashifmin for support its lollipop rom kernel so he has said that he is busy now but he will do later and later on we had a Lollipop ROM. so :cheers:
