Hi all,
I had my Transformer up and running on CM10 when I decided to give Asus JB a try this morning. As a preparation I tried to switch from TWRP to CWM. So I followed the instructions here using dd in a terminal on my tablet. After this I tried rebooting into recovery (Power + VolDown).
But I didn't work, it took me directly to a message saying "OS will cold boot in 10 Seconds if the selected mode is not confirmed". I had the choice between wiping and fastboot.
So I went into fastboot and tried to reinstall TWRP using fastboot. This worked withoud errors but after a reboot to recovery I got the same problem. When I choosed wipe date the splash screen from TWRP came up for a few seconds and then it disappeared and I shows me some lines telling me that it wiped my data - and then the device reboots.
A normal reboot led me to a screeen showing the ASUS Logo and the "The device is UnLocked" in the upper left corner. And nothing more happens...
So tried to reinstall CWM using fastpath which also worked without problems. After reboot still no direct access to CWM, had to go through wipe-data again and then it jumped into CWM. I installed several different Images with CWM but none of them solved that problem. The device still istn't able to boot into OS or direct into CWM.
I also tried to flash the blob file from stock firmware using fastboot, but after the transfer ended and it startet to flash it stopped with an red line saying an error occured.
Now I'm running out of ideas how to solve this problem. Any ideas?

ok,let me put it this way,did you ever upgraded to 9.4.5.30 firmware?
No, not before my tablet got bricked. I tried to recover with a stock Rom afterwards and accidentally downloaded and flashed .30 instead of .26
Maybe this makes things worse but the problem is not caused by that.
Btw: thank your for your support

No, I stupid idiot did not make a backup with nvflash.
I really appreciate your support but unfortunately I'm not at home anymore so I can't chat for the next hours.

Have you try this :
Code:
*** Factory Restore after a softbrick/Downgrade from Jelly Bean to ICS/Clean Factory Restore ***
When You Need This?
* if you get stuck on Asus boot screen (the one with the spinning wheel)
* If you don't like JB and you want ICS back
* if you want to get back to a clean stock firmware
Note: You need to have a working recovery (stock or custom) in order to use this method.
========= Recover /Downgrade from Jelly Bean to ICS/Clean Factory Restore with stock recovery =========
1) Download the latest firmware from Asus site (based os your SKU,eg. ww 9.4.5.26 * to downgrade from Jelly Bean you need the 9.4.5.30 firmware)
2) Extract the .zip file somewere on your desktop (the result will be another .zip file, use it for step 3)
3) Rename the extracted archive to "EP201_768_SDUPDATE" (without the " ") and upload it to a MicroSD card
4) Insert the MicroSD card in your tablet and use this button combination to Power ON and go to recovery --> Start the tablet by pressing Volume Down and POWER togheter for 5 seconds ,a message will inform you that you have 5 seconds to enter the recovery, press Volume UP before the 5 seconds expire.
At this point the device will go in recovery and should start updating your firmware .

Yes. I tried this but it does not work. When I start with pressing Power and VolumeDown the system only lets me choose between wipe data and fastboot mode. It does not recognize any system update files
Problem solved...
Hi,
just to let you know I solved my problem. After trying a lot of different possible solutions described in a lot of threads nothing worked for me. Finally I flashed JellyBean through CWM from external SD Card. This did not change anything but after booting into fastboot mode I installed the kernel blob extracted from a zip file found here by using
Code:
fastboot -i 0x0b05 flash boot blob
And that's it.... after 10 hours of try and error I finally got my device up and running again....

Well this is how to enter recovery to do a factory restore ext.
https://motorola-global-portal.cust...ail/a_id/71790/~/external-hard-reset-(atrix-2)
But you will lose all data that is on the internal storage.
Here is the 4.0.4 fastboot file and RSDlite 6.0 if you want to use the fastboot.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1967529
If you do you need to update the drivers for the phone on the computer you are using. Plug the phone into a computer with the updated drives on it. Then open up the fastboot menu on the phone and it should say something about usb connection and bat ok. Then run RSD and load the 4.0.4 zip file to it and wait for the program to run its course then profit. I know there is a guide on this process but I cant find it at the moment

Wait so the triangle pops up and says "android not loading?" or dose it only display the android triangle after you press both volume buttons at the same time on that menu?

Can you get back into download mode.... If so check your firmware file and flash the device again, make sure computer is not doing anything else but the flash.

hello i have a rooted photonQ no roms installed and wifi stopped working.wife was playing with phone and did some update on motorola update and now phone reboots to recovery asking to install update and when i click on yes gives failed update and i reboot into phone and when i access it it boots me back to recovery asking me to install update..can someone please help me..
Do you have a custom recovery installed as well...?
I know you said you are rooted... if you have a custom recovery you can try doing a factory reset, may fix the issue - note you will lose any user settings and data/apps.
If you are on stock recovery, I'm not sure what the issue would be - you "should" be able to take OTA's using stock recovery. You cannot take OTA's if you are on a custom recovery.
i followed this guide to root photon....http://theunlockr.com/2012/09/07/how-to-root-the-motorola-photon-q-4g-smartphone/

Looks like that site has you flash CWM, so your answer would be "yes"....
In which case you can't take OTA's. You should be able to restore your backup in CWM, which I'm wondering if you took...?
If you don't have a backup, you can try doing a factory reset and booting... otherwise you might have to completely reset the device using a FXZ file and RSD Lite.

I would start with factory reset, then move to RSD if you still have issues.
Start with the least painful, and move to the most.
ok so in recovery do a factory reset? if factory doesnt work for instance, what are the instructions to use RSD

sorry for double posting..
So what's the issue? Where are you at? Did you have issues flashing back to stock with RSD?
ok i did the factory restore like you stated last night and now just stays at android screen..i am able to get back in to recovery but thats it..and rsd doesnt pick up device..

Try putting the phone into fastboot mode, and see if RSD picks up the device then.
I believe if you turn off the device, and turn it back on holding the camera button you'll get some boot options.
ok went into fastboot and click on fastboot and phone just rebooted and now its just on the warning bootloader unlocked..

So you hold power + vol down until the phone shuts off. Then hold power + camera (quickly) after it shuts down. It should turn on to a menu, hit volume down until you select "AP Fastboot". Then vol up selects, and you should see the AP Fastboot Flash Mode screen...
Thank you so much ok I'm there now..there might just be a lite at end of tunnel..what do I do now

Try seeing if the phone is detected in RSD Lite, follow the directions in that thread to adjust the XML file provided and try to flash back to stock.
ok i opened up rsdd lite and in description on bottom model says fastboot ASANTI_CS, and in box on top device properties says n/a..

I'm running a custom rom 5 months now when my phone got a freeze last night and it's stuck in Logo... it wont also go to recovery. So i tried to flash my firmware using SpFlash.
It passed thru 100% and got a successful flash. but nothing happens. After that, i tried to do Format All + Download, then my phone doesnt show logo, doesnt vibrate either. i tried to flash again the firmware, but even if it's successful, it doesn't change anything. It's still not booting.
phone gets recognize on device manager.
I have drivers installed on my windows 7
I'm using SP Flashtool v5.1552
i have 2 stock firmwares downloaded from official Huawei services and one from another site.
EDIT: PHONE IS DEAD.

After all this can you still flash through sp flash tool?
Does your phone charge?
If you're sure you flashed the right firmware leave it for some time , if it still doesnt boot then remove the battery and reinsert and try again.

YES! I am still able to flash successfully without errors. but nothing happens though.
i'm also sure that i flashed the right firmware.
removing the battery and placing it some time doesn't do anything.
Just now, i tried to flash with Firmware Upgrade option, and i get an error failed to find PMT file info or something.
are you familiar with such?
Use download only as that's the only workaround I've for this pmt error.this mostly is releted to scatter text and wrong directory of files so trying another stock firmware might help.
