First be warned that the 2nd gen is not supported, only the WIFI. The instructions are on wiki ubuntu. I intend to dual boot my WIFI. I'm here to learn more about what I'm getting into with my 2nd gen.

Here is my question for everyone. How is it that the moto g on Verizon has 4.4.2 while the droid line is on 4.4? To me it makes no sense as to why we would get Kit Kat 4.4 when the current version is 4.4.2

We waiting so long because -
1.They want fix all known bugs(like mms over Wi-Fi or DayDream bug)
2.Last droids hard to optimize - X8 Comp system,etc
3.It's a business - we have 1 vs 10 Moto G
Developer editions of the Moto X are getting 4.4.2 so it shouldn't be that far off for us hopefully

My guess is that Motorola started working on the KitKat update for these phones when 4.4 was released. After the Moto X and the Droids were updated, they started working on the Moto G and, by then, 4.4.2 was already released. Since Motorola promised a KitKat update for the European G by the end of January, they couldn't update the X and Droids to 4.4.2 first and make that schedule.
The Droids received their last two OTAs about 5 weeks after the first Moto X updates hit, so hopefully we'll be reading about soak tests in about four or five weeks.

This is true. My phone is stable right now with 4.4 so I do not mind waiting for them to make sure 4.4.2 is stable enough for release. I am sure we will get the next set of android updates also after kitkat
My kids have older Kogan android tablets running 4.0.4 (Build number KoganAgoraICS4.0)

Don't like your luck on this tablet (I have the same one) and to date have yet to find an OS update to Jelly Bean or further. The tablet is agonisingly slow.
A few guys had a crack at it with rooting it and trying other roms from rebadged version of the same tablet but nothing about moving upto another OS. From what I could gather after sorting out a few wifi bugs it seemed to run faster than the Kogan Rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1848335 They mostly discuss the 8" version but the rom is the same as the 10".
Cheers,
LT
Hello everyone, my girlfriend has a Siragon tablet (local brand here in Venezuela) that is about 2 years old, seller stopped updates for all of its Android tablets but I'mm sure this tablet can handle either 5 or 6 (it's in Jelly beans right now).
However, since this is an unknown maker outside of VE, there are no roms for their products, I tried to see if I could install CM 13 and pray it worked but Recovery mode wont allow me since the rom is for Nexus 7 WIFI (flo) and the tablet is wing-s785 (???)
Any way I could force the install of CM 13 on this tablet or if there is any kind of universal stock Android to install? Or am I stuck with Jelly Beans?

Hello dear,
You can't use ROMs from other devices, because of different kernel and ROM configurations. If they stopped support for it,that is already done yet, sorry for this kind of information. :/
Thank you for visiting xda assist forum.
