Here is my question for everyone. How is it that the moto g on Verizon has 4.4.2 while the droid line is on 4.4? To me it makes no sense as to why we would get Kit Kat 4.4 when the current version is 4.4.2

We waiting so long because -
1.They want fix all known bugs(like mms over Wi-Fi or DayDream bug)
2.Last droids hard to optimize - X8 Comp system,etc
3.It's a business - we have 1 vs 10 Moto G
Developer editions of the Moto X are getting 4.4.2 so it shouldn't be that far off for us hopefully

My guess is that Motorola started working on the KitKat update for these phones when 4.4 was released. After the Moto X and the Droids were updated, they started working on the Moto G and, by then, 4.4.2 was already released. Since Motorola promised a KitKat update for the European G by the end of January, they couldn't update the X and Droids to 4.4.2 first and make that schedule.
The Droids received their last two OTAs about 5 weeks after the first Moto X updates hit, so hopefully we'll be reading about soak tests in about four or five weeks.

This is true. My phone is stable right now with 4.4 so I do not mind waiting for them to make sure 4.4.2 is stable enough for release. I am sure we will get the next set of android updates also after kitkat

Is it possible to get back from 5.0.1 GPE to 4.4.4 GPE and then from 4.4.4 GPE back to Retail 4.4.4?
I have Lollipop now, but I think its not so stable like KitKat, it has many compatibility problems with some App and so I decide to go back to Retail, because I don't really like the GPE Version of the Moto G, some APPs are not included and I think I miss the "old" KitKat.

Yeah I already tried the second link.
Recently I started using a Droid Mini which is now unlocked and rooted with stock Verizon 4.4.4. SU4.21.
I like kitkat for now and could even live with the stock rom, maybe with xposed/gravity, but I just discovered the 'LTE bug' which prevents use of sms/voice on LTE on a non-verizon service. I disabled LTE and everything works fine but I would prefer to get LTE working properly with 4.4.4.
If there is still no fix for the LTE bug with stock 4.4.4, what is a good working kitkat rom that solves the problem? Topsnake's 4.4.4, CM 11, or one of the Moto X ports? I read another XT1030 user say he was using Krypton Moto X port now but I am assuming for the XT1030 you need specific audio, screen size or other patches?
Hi. I am in really desperate need of some help. I have a Verizon Moto G XT1028PP. I am in need of the original stock rom. This particular phone is from the earlier batch that was released with Android 4.4.2. I have tried several roms but errors show up when flashing the gpt.bin and especially the motoboot.img One of those roms was the CFC Falcon 4.4
2. Any and all help is appreciated. I am looking forward to hearing from someone real soon.
XT1028 Stock ROMs are available here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/development/rom-stock-motorola-rom-collection-t2854688

Where can I download Verizon Lollipop ROM for Motog G1?
There is a lot of buzz about 5.0.1 being released in the US for all Moto g phones OTA but how do I manually get this release? I am on Page Plus with a modified Boost Mobile phone and I am not getting the update ota. Has the Lollipop version for CDMA services been released, where?
cchriscollins-
I am in the same situation with same device on PP. I am rooted on 4.4.4. Motorola site still says coming soon.

I am happy with 4.4.4 on the Moto G and just ok with 5.2 on a rooted 1st gen Nexus 7. It has to be restarted every day or so b/c of memory leaks and lagging.
I have used moto g original, was the smoothest phone at that price, I call it shorbo kaler shera phone(the best android phone ever made) and KitKat would b They best android OS. And after using moto g I bought moto g 3 thinking it would be even better than moto g, but its a disappointment, after weeks of usages it starts lagging and heating and battery draining. I tried all the ROMs available but its all the he same, and then it crossed my mind, KitKat port since which isn't as resource hungry like L and MM. I'm not a developer or anything I don't know if it would work or not since its a loli device and Upgraded to MM now so I ask the expert if MM or L bootloader would support KK or if not, can it b done by somehow modding the loader. I'd like to build a ROM for my own use but I need some guide.
Can someone please tell me a little about bootloader and kernel and ....
what's the newest bootloader out there for xt1080m? any idea if any of them can handle booting N?
i'm currently using 0x30BA, and running moto x firmware. sadly, the nougat based roms over on the moto x dev board don't seem to want to boot on my phone. in their requirements they show the need for at least the moto x lollipop bootloader. seeing as we never got a lollipop release from vzw.. you see where this is going.
motoboot.bin from the x fw WILL brick my phone, yes?
thx
