thanks
Installed this and works great. No more flickering..
However, when i try to flash int2ext, i am getting unable to mount volume ./external_sd.. Any fix to this issue. I am sure it is an recovery issue and since you mentioned it as "added ext_sd" support, i thought it would solve this mounting issue.
Any update on this from would be of great help.. Thanks in advance.
tried the same and installed 0.8 first and then 0.9.....now there is no flickering and a nice interface....thanks
thanks a lot...

I'm affraid I have to disappoint you, I stopped further development of this recovery for the HTC Desire SV. The issue with HTC is the s-on functionality, which prevents modification of the system apps, so I bought a Moto G 2nd gen.

Hello, I saw here : http://mirrorbrain.cyanogenmod.com/cm/recoveries/
that the recovery clockworkmod v3.1.0.0 is arrived ! But on the Nexus S, the recovery official is the 3.0.2.4 and the recovery custom v3.0.2.5 (thx)
But, I like have the update to recovery, so I wanna know if there are the recovery 3.1.0.0 for the Nexus S or if a person can modified the recovery 3.1.0.0 in order to it work on the NS ???
Thanx
No idea where those 3.1.0.0 come from. The latest version in the source repository is 3.0.2.8.
However, looking over the commits, there seems no reason for you to upgrade, since you already have 3.0.2.5, which removes the menu entries for hard bricking your phone (format bootloader, radio, recovery).
How you knows that the last recovery clockworkmod is the 3.0.2.8 ?
It's bizar because there are recoveries 3.1.0.0 .... ?
You can look at the git repository commit log:
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_bootable_recovery/commits/gingerbread
The version is in the Androik.mk file line 29:
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_bootable_recovery/blob/gingerbread/Android.mk
It says 3.0.2.8.
If this was even a genuine clockworkmod why would you want it ?
i dont see any point in rushing to get the updates before they are supported through rom manager ,, unless it adds many extra features you need!!
Okey. Thx for your posts

Rom manager is showing 3.1.0.0 as the current version.
I'm pleased to present my repack of the stock ROM for the HTC Doubleshot! READ THIS WHOLE POST BEFORE YOU START! No, really, it contains everything you need to know.
Remember that if you use this ROM, you do so entirely at your own risk!!
About MoDaCo stock ROM repacks
Unlike a MCR (MoDaCo Custom ROM) release, a stock ROM repack is as close to the stock ROM as possible. Only root / Superuser and an insecure boot image is added. The benefits of the repack are providing a rollback option in update zip format as well as providing an online kitchen to remove parts that are not required.
A MCR release of this ROM is also coming soon!
Requirements
In order to use this ROM on your device, you must have a custom recovery image installed (Clockwork Mod).
Features
Repack of the 1.28.531.9 Gingerbread ROM
Pre-rooted with su and Superuser Permissions by ChainsDD
Insecure boot image (ro.secure=0)
Changelog
Please see 2 posts below this one for the changes in each release.
Installation
To install this ROM:
Download the zip file of your choice from the links below (or the online kitchen) and copy to your SD card
Restart your device in recovery mode
PERFORM A NANDROID BACKUP FROM THE MENU
Select the option to apply an update zip, and select the zip file you copied to your memory card
Upgrading
No wipe is explicitly required in order to use this ROM (you should be particularly safe if coming from a near-stock ROM), however if you do encounter issues of any kind, it is recommended that you wipe your device and reproduce the issue before raising it here.
Downloads
The ROM is packaged for installation via ClockworkMod. The radio / baseband is packaged for installation via either renaming to PC10IMG.zip and copying to SD card then rebooting to bootloader or by 'fastboot flash'ing the radio (both of which will likely require your device to be 'S-OFF / ENG' bootloader).
A MCR will follow soon.
[Edit: It looks like Mediafire are having some issues with redirects atm, if you get a 404, give it a few tries!]

So if the ROM can "not" be installed without S-Off??? How do do so without having an S-Off solution?!?!? Im not questioning the technical acumen... Im just not understanding.... Sorry...

So...what good is this ROM right now without S-OFF?
There are some members in the forum who has S-Off devices at this moment.
I have a hard time understanding how some phones get full s-off root before they are even released. Most current htc phones are prett similar. I know the sensation and mt4gs are identical on the inside.

I think of it more like they never got S-ON.
Whats the quickest way to verify S-OFF or S-ON
When attempting to flash the deodexed version, it aborts.
Attempted two times. I will am redownloading both versions and trying again.
EDIT: Both versions abort when attempting to install. Any ideas?
I tried de-odex first. I MD5ed it too and the hash was correct. Failed with revolutionary recovery v4.0.0.8

these fail to install for me as well with the 4.0.0.8 recovery.
I think there's something wrong with the 4.0.0.8 recovery cause i had to flash the superuser zip from the s-off thread like 5 times in a row to get it to work without failing.

I was able to install the deodexed version fine with the 4.0.0.8 ClockworkMod. I did a Nandroid backup, did a factory wipe and a cache wipe, and it installed without a hitch...
Which method did you use? Flash from Zip? Update?
And what was it zip named?
Flash from zip. I used 4.0.0.9 though

Hello, I'm using T-Mobile (UK) HTC One SV with JB (rooted)
I follows this link to root my phone and thus I've got the JB CWM version listed in the link.
The problem is when I boot into recovery mode into the CWM, the screen is shifted a bit to left and the cropped/shifted part is appearing on the right! (I hope I'm making some sense with this 'shifted screen' explanation. I'd like to post a screenshot if someone can help me with getting a screenshot in recoverymode) Anybody else facing this problem? If yes, how can I fix it?
On a slightly different note, I'd like to admit that whilst following the rooting procedure mentioned above, I tried to be a 'smart arse' and tried flashing CWM 6.0.3.8 on the device, which just wouldn't load /data with error
Code:
Can't mount /data
and same with cache and respective logs. And because of that I wasn't able to do a backup either. I tried, quite a few times, to format the SD card into FAT32 etc but it was having none of it! :crying:. Then when I slapped myself for not following the procedure, like a good boy , and got the same CWM listed in the link, I was able to do backup and no errors were being displayed in regards to mounting of /data. :good: I thought I'd share my experience on for others to learn from.
This screen flickering is a know problem of this touch recovery.
Its not developed to the end.
I recommend you to use TWRP recovery which is fully functional.

Thanks for quick reply. I've never used TWRP and to be honest, quite new to this depth of rooting, recovery etc. Does TWRP offer similar set of features as CWM? And is there a 'touch' TWRP for this device on JB? If so, could you kindly post me the link.
Most up to date version you will find here:
[TWRP 2.6] Updated 9/21/13 All variants TWRP recovery 2.6
Another (older):
[Recovery] TWRP Recovery 2.x
Yes, all touch and has more features than cwm.

Hi,
i have some problem to flash a new rom on my desire s. Yesterday i've tried to pass from Viper Saga 2.2.0 (Android 4.0.4; Sense 4.1; s-off ) to Cyanogen Mod roms.
After the backup of my data with 4EXT RECOVERY i've followed the basic step to flash the rom (this isn't the first time that i done it):
- i put my phone in recovery mode using 4EXT RECOVERY
- i've done the wipe data/factory reset
- wipe cache (done)
- wipe dalvik (done)
- select install zip from sd card (done)
- i've chosen the zip file with the rom (done)
- the rom was succesful installed
- i chose reboot from 4EXT RECOVERY
- the phone starts the reboot
--> and there is the problem. My phone remain locked at the white frame with the htc green logo. After that the only thing i can do is to enter in the bootloader, starts the recovery mod, wipe data/cache/dalvik and reactivate Viper Saga rom backupped.
I have the same problem with tohise rom:
[ROM] Unofficial " Nightly " CM11.0 [20140208] for Saga
[ROM] Unofficial " Nightly " CM10.2 [20131220] for Saga
CyanogenMod 10.1 ANDROMADUS -Build 22- || Android 4.2.2
someone can help me?
First off, this is general section. Questions should be asked in the Q&A forum.
Are you aware of your panel type, there are two. Sony and Hitachi /mddi. If you have the latter than running the latest roms is going to be difficult for you.
To find out, open a terminal window and type
su
dmesg | grep -i panel
If you cannot see Sony written anywhere then you should visit the Desire S none Sony screen hangout lounge for more information

the difference between bravery and foolhardiness is in the outcome
Hi jugg1es i'm sorry next time i'll post my question in the right section.
I've followed the guide that you linked and my smartphone hasn't the sony panel then i tried to follow the instructions:
- download the kernel for android 4.2.x
- put the kerne on the SD
- reboot in recovery mode
- wipe data/cache/dalvik
- flash the rom CyanogenMod 10.1 ANDROMADUS -Build 22- || Android 4.2.2 and the GAPPS
- flash the kernel for android 4.2.x
- reboot
but the problem still remain, the screen is locked at the white frame with the green htc logo.
I've tried with different recovery (CWM and 4EXT Recovery touch).
What can i do?
I've try many times but the result is the same. i've also updated the HBOOT from 6.98... to 07.00.1002 | followed the Guide to Flash a Rom in a Perfect Way...., but the problem still remain!
somebady can help me please?

I tried some sense based roms and they work perfectly. Now i have SVHD Rom with lite sense that seems to be very smooth.
