Use social Media

You really should spend that $ 25. If someone else is publishing your app you lose control and you cannot update it yourself. Thats really not what you want. Futhermore nobody knows about the quality of your app. Maybe its a very bad one and the negative rates would also affect the publisher...

Anyone have this apk? Would be very appreciated as HuddleHub doesn't really work that well
buy it in the market. no warez
Its a bit of a ripoff. Everything you can do in the app, you can do with the website.

exactly, thats why I want the apk because I really don't feel like paying $5. But if no one has it i guess I'll have to buy it
It's not that no one has it, its that xda has rules against sharing paid apps on here. No warez they say, so if you want an app that costs, you better buy it

I just use the mobile website, mobi.espn I think. Anyway I use it for both baseball and football. Not sure if the app is more intuitive. You could buy it and write a review, lol.
the app is good. if you can afford $5 (and I'm sure you can), buy it. if you don't want to buy it, just use the mobile website.

precisely!! Its similar to going out to eat. Sure you can buy pasta, tomato sauce, oregano, etc to make spaghetti for cheaper than what the restaurant charges, but you pay for the CONVENIENCE of someone else doing the work for you. Same with the app...just buy it if its worth it to you. Cost v. benefits ya know?

[Q] how can amazon give away paid apps for free?

can u refriase that? im confused about what you just said.
I wish I could get these free apps. Why's it limited to U.S?
They are working with the devs of the apps to advertise them for a short while to increase traffic. Once that time frame is up more ppl will know about the app and can then generate more revenue for the developers.

thats what i wanted to know
From what i heard they still give the dev 20% of the cost of the app for every free app. i.e. a $.99 goes free amazon gives dev $.20ish. so the dev's still get a little bit
Are the apps they give away decent or upgradable through the market?
So far I got doodle jump free , shazan encore(4.99) free, dinner dash free , .farm frenzy for free. Not bad. They free and this are good apps .

These apps require you to keep the Amazon app store installed on your device. If you remove Amazon app store the apps you downloaded will no longer work.
I do not know about paid apps but the free ones that are showcased daily will not work if you remove the Amazon app store.
Do you have to put a credit card number to even download a app????

yea you do or u can use amazon giftcard
you must first setup an amazon account using a credit card or paypal. when you install the amazon android store app, it syncs with your amazon account, so you don't store your credit card # or paypal info on your phone
In case anyone wants to keep track...
In case anyone wants to keep track, I put a copy of all the free apps here:
http://www.electricbreadcrumbs.com/2011/04/amazon-appstores-free-app-list.html
What would happen to the apps if you were to wipe with a ROM change?
Use Titanium backup and restore back.

Oh snap, I did not know that. Good thing I read this before I wiped my phone without any worry of losing anything. I'll have to do a Backup now. Thanks!
your apps are updateable, for free. lol. and since your account is set up with your amazon acct you can wipe and change roms a million times, as soon as you put the app store back on your phone and sign in with your account you can redownload your apps back again, still free.

[Q] Android apps

I was wondering where I can publish my android app for free besides the android market. Although I want to publish my app to the android market, my parents will never let me give out my ssn ever especially online. So where are some popular places that will get some traffic to my app where I can upload it for free.
Or if someone would be so kind to pm me and publish my app to the market for me that would be great.
Thanks

Being successful...

What does it take to be successful in the Google Play store? I've been developing for over a year now... I've only been able to make about $10 a month, if that... What am I doing wrong, or not doing? How do I get my apps seen?... Also, scan my profile pic, to see a list of my apps

In my opinion to be successful in any of the major app markets such as the play store and app store. You have to be able to create something that people didn't know they needed. Something that is new and innovative ad that has never been done before. Also if it is a game it is an good idea to make it as addicting as possible.

**Press the thanks button if I have helped you.
In short, app failed because no one know it, no one like it, no one use it.
At first, should not follow the money, but your product. If you want to win, you and your product must be different (unique is even better)
Second, marketing. I think you already googled for the tips. But read them again. It may help.

[App][Flappy Bird]

Apparently the guy who developed it didn't like all the attention and fame he got around the world. Well that's what a few sites online say...

According to some articles.. the developer received some very bad review of the game via Twitter (Death threats and hate)..

I just read up on it, and it seems like removing the app is just going to get it talked about more.
There are plenty of people who have the .apk, as well as people who have modified it, and patched it, etc. If there is a way he is collecting revenue off it this would have been a very successful marketing move. However, the app wasn't a paid app, and even though people may be searching "flappy bird" more, I'm kind of curious how he's actually making money off it since the top Google searches are not likely his own website/ad revenue.

He makes money probably because of the ads in the app like most free games are run by some kind of one click advertising that's why some apps charge to remove it
