[Q] Bluebo/Star B6000 and GPS issues - General Questions and Answers

Hey guys,
Searched for B6000 and GPS on the forums and I found one thread with multiple hits within it. Started to get confused with what people were saying.
So I was wondering if anyone else was having problems with the GPS on the B6000? It doesn't work all the time and when it does it's rather inaccurate.
I was wondering if there were any software solutions for this? Would another ROM solve this? Or is this a hardware thing that I am stuck with?
Any step by step guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

GPS getting weaker.

Hi all,
Problem with the GPS on my Orbit 2! Though so far I love it to bits really.
I have done a search here but cant find anything.. I really hope it is just me asking the wrong question. Anyway someone must know something.
The problem is this:
The GPS with Copilot was working amazingly when I first got it. I was knocked out by it.
I haven't used it much but when I have I was delighted.
However, recently I have been noticing that the number of satellite signals has been going down. It has also been taking longer and longer to get a fix.
Today I could not use it at all, even when it got a "fix" It was showing me no where near the right road.!! Have some satellites fallen out of the sky!!??
Currently it has 3 days before I need to do the QuickGPS thing. So that should be ok.. I will try again with the update but is there any known problem with the GPS. If there are problems with GPS do they normally behave like that or just stop altogether?
If there is a problem I guess I need to send it back.. :-(
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give.
Its very painful when you get up in the morning and try to depend on something that is not working!
3Frog
Same problem
I also got the same problem, but I found out that a reboot solved the issue. After the reboot it found the satellites again.

MetaMorph not seeing BB

I installed Busy Box a few days ago,and works great... then i installed MM about an hour ago,but whenever i launch MM it does it's "check" and says it doesn't see or detect BB... why would it be doing so?
[update] FIXED
What did you do to fix it?
I stressed out over this too, my solution was just restarting the darn metamorph app and everything worked just fine.
Thanks I just wanted some constructive advice or tips on how to fix this since the issue has been reported and the community has been asked for help; yet the answer was found and totally disregarded to make any note of it for anyone else who may have any other similar issues and come looking for a solution.

Wifi error and ICS question

Hello,
I have never rooted my Atrix 2 and it is pretty much stock. I have researched the interwebs for the past two months from time to time to see if anyone else (and there are a lot) who have "Wifi error" when trying to turn on their wifi. It is not a router issue because I have tried at my own home, friends, relatives, McDonalds, the library, etc but Wifi error persists. Reset the phone three times, taken battery out, and leaving it off for a few hours have also been tried. I was wondering if anyone knows how to solve this issue? I have researched on this forum but I couldn't find a relavant one.
I was hoping that upgrading to ICS will fix the issue but I cant even upgrade to ICS because the update has been fixed to be downloaded via wifi only. I know it is OTA but was wondering if anyone has packaged/is it packageable to be downloaded off the internet?

[Q] P1000 Constantly drops WiFi

Hi Everyone,
Hope you can help a Newbie.
My dearly beloved 2 year old P1000 developed a fault when I upgraded through Kies to Gingerbread. The WiFi began to drop out all the time. This is not related to my router btw.
I further upgraded to 2.3.6 using Overcome 7 series v4.1.0 and am generally satisfied, but the Wifi problem remains unresolved.
I don't really know, but surmise that a reversal to Froyo would restore my Tab to normal behaviour. Am I wrong??
Any advice would be gratefully received, and if the consensus is to revert to Froyo - how would I do that?
I am really frustrated by this fault and hope that someone might find a solution.
Thanks for looking.
Tony Martin
Sadly it seems that no one can solve my problem, nor even summon up the energy to tell me to go away with it.
I genuinely thought that since the "Overcome" upgrade came from this site that someone would try to help me out.
I am obviously mistaken. Grateful for the aid given to me during the upgrade, but sad and disappointed that there is no further help to be had.
Thank you and Goodbye.

[Q] GPS not working on my 300t

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone was having my same problem. I have seen a few people talk about something similar, I just haven't found a fix that works.
I currently have my tf300t rocking the 04/07 build of the PACROM and have CWM based Recovery v6.0.4.5 (yes, it's touch enabled).
The rom runs very well. Stable and very fast. No complains, besides one.
My GPS will never lock onto anything.
Many people have similar issues in the past and there fix was to either stand in the best GPS location ever, until it locks, then it will work, or to flash a fix with some custom software.
Neither work for me and I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I'm sure there has to be someone out there with a similar issue and possibly a fix.
Thanks for the help in advance!
Hi,
I've a similar issue.
My tf300t is not able to get a location even with gps and wifi activated.
Also the compass behaviour is very wierd: it seems it's shifted by 90°.
I can remember I had this issue also with stock 4.2.1, now running CM11-M4 the same problem.
Still have no idea
From what I remember it was only when I switched to kitkat builds of any rom. But I don't want to say thats it for sure.
Some people seem to think it's due to the recovery that's installed.
Does anyone know anything?
Try this Link GPS need to find the satellites for your area so leave it running for 10ish minutes. Good luck
