i have done reset, still no use, it seems like hardware prblm...

Boot into recovery. If the issue persists there then it's hardware. My screen does the same thing. Waiting for nexus 5

[Q] Touchscreen help.

The touchscreen on the Defy seems a little over sensible .. i can press keys without actually touching the screen (same goes for the touch panel buttons)
Can anyone help me find a way to calibrate it ? I get a lot of accidental button touches.

You might get flame posting on wrong section.
But, capacitive touch screen doesn't require calibrate.
Your body / Phone build up statics..
For your part, wash your hand often or touch anything grounded.
For your phone, you could try wipe it w/ wet towel.
Why get flamed ? i wanted a software fix not hardware, i keep both my hands and the phone clean all day. And i know it can be fixed because i had the same problem on a iphone android port... In iOS the touchscreen was fine but in android i could get it activated even 3mm off of screen so it's definetly the way the software uses the screen.

capacitive buttons faulty

I have had this problem for awhile , My capacitive buttons have stopped working.
I remember dropping the phone from a short height but the phone has no physical damage , it had no problems for along time and then suddenly one day they stopped working fully.
Im on the latest Android Revolution HD Rom and have tried a reinstall.
I have also opened the phone up to look for any sign of internal damage but nothing.
The touch screen itself works great the home botton works sometimes if u get it in the right spot but other then that nothing.
Anybody got any ideas? New Digitizer?
Would like any help.
Cheers
Greg
Hard to think nobody has had this problem.
Bump bump bump , great song that one

problem with my htc touch pro

my phone was working very well but two weeks ago i did format it . when i touch the screen it didnt work i did change the rom n it did work again after reboot my phone the same problm happen the screen doesnt work and sometimes one place in the screen work . after rebooting my phone 8 or 9 times the screen work again . after one hour the problem back .
I know that you can try to resetting your touch screen driver replacing once the touch screen with another, but of course ,you need a second touchscreen, just for reset.
Then put your touchscreen back, boot device, calibrate screen and...that should solving your problem.
I'm also solved this problem for my HTC Touch pro six months ago, following an advice from a friend.

i just replaced my cracked screen, put my phone all together and it was working perfect for about 10 minutes. now the touch screen will not respond. i can turn the screen on and off but i can not use the touch to unlock it. what could it be?
Reboot or wipe cache could help
Send with a homebuttonbug
Could be the digitizer has stopped working?

I've had al similar problem with my htc sensation. Turned out not all components work together nicely. I replaced it with a LCD / digitizer bundle and then it worked fine. A repair guy I talked to confirmed the issue and told me he only replaced them in pairs because of this issue. It still doesn't make a while lot of sense to me but searching round the internet seems to confirm this, at least for sensation.

For Sensation maybe, but here it's a sandwich type screen (glass+digitizer+display), no option for separate replace.
Best thing we can suggest is to re-connect all wires.
P.S. Where did you get the new screen? Could be a non-genuine screen...

Touch issues (not screen only)

So on various android devices with capacitive buttons over the years, mostly Samsung, I've always had an issue fat fingering the capacitive buttons. OPO seems to be no different. I'm running the latest CM nightly and its been driving me crazy. What i mean is ill be doing something on the screen close to the bottom edge and accidentally hit one of the capacitive buttons. I know the obvious answer is to switch to on screen buttons. I am currently using the on screen buttons while I wait for a CM build I think will fix my issue to finish, but I've noticed something else. Switching to on screen buttons seems to really help with touchscreen issues.
So my questions are A) does anyone else "accidentally" hit the capacitive buttons while using their OPO like all the time, and B) has anyone else noticed using the on screen buttons helps with touch issues? Or appears to at least.
Yup. This build does indeed fix my issue with the capacitive buttons.
