I've used the Motorola one linked below with all of my Android devices. It works great. Delivers enough power to continue to charge the device even when using navigation while driving.

I have and use both and they are both great. The Anker is a little smaller and you can plug an extra USB cable into it. You'll be happy either way I think.

Another vote for the Motorola charger. Works perfectly every time, and looks pretty cool at night. :good:

i use this since i prefer to have an extra usb for when my gf rides with me and needs to charge her fruity phone.
got it from ATT store

I have this one in addition with that one. That's $3,29 in total.
Works fine with my N4 so far.

There is only one device for charging our phones. The Griffin Powerjolt. We have one in each car. Charges our phones and tables, same cable, no though required. Pull the cables out and close the lighter port when not in use. Don't have to remove the Powerjolt.

+1 to this
I also have the motorola, but the light on it is way bright and is horrible when driving at night.
This griffin thing is just as powerful, can charge both phones, and has no annoying light.

The only charger you will need is the scocshe revolt c2. It's the only charger that charges both ports at 2.1a. Others do 2.1 and 1.0. Meaning, with a couple of charge only cables (sold separately) you can charge 2 of anything at full speed. Even a iphone and a nexus 7.

WHAT EXTERNAL BATTERY ARE YOU USING???
I am deciding to get a external battery for 3 reasons.
1) I forgot my charger a few time, thinking my old one works on new phone.
2)Otterbox will not fit with extended battery. (That's when it comes out for this phone.)
3)I like to keep my phone as light as possible.
What external batteries are you using???
Would you buy the model and brand again???
Knowing what you know now after using for a while. Are you happy with your purchase???
Thank you for looking.

i use this generic tmobile battery ignore the pretty purple car charger plug i have plugged in i leave it in my work van
there is nothing as part numbers or product name it has a small switch that goes from phone to battery and a mini usp to charge the battery and full size usb to charge the phone

I use this for an external power source:
http://www.smarthome.com/50619/Lumi...er-for-Lithium-and-AA-or-AAA-Batteries/p.aspx
I just use old cell phone batteries. I have alot of G1 batteries that I've collected lol. Might as well put them to good use. I use this, only if I know that I am not going to be charging my phone for a long period of time. Before I bought this, I used 4 AA NiMH connected to a female usb plug.
I have a Powermonkey Explorer. It's a bit pricey, although I received it as a gift. It came with various tips for things like an iPod.
I had to buy a $2 mini-to-micro USB converter tip on Amazon to use it for my previous phone (Blackberry) and now the G2x.
It charges the phone pretty well and came with a solar panel which I only tested (works fine), but haven't found personally useful yet.

Wow, that's is definitely out if my price range. But it super cool setup.

$3 Wall Charger

I know Verizon charges $20 for their wall charger (http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/...ryDetails&archetypeId=11564&accessoryId=43450)
I purchase one on ebay for $3 shipped (http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320715214830) It is OEM SAMSUNG model: ETA0U10JBE
So far, it has worked perfect. I do not hear the humming sound like those cheap no-name brand make. I figure I pass this deal along as $20+ tax vs $3 out the door for the same result is a bargain.
The item shipped from Brooklyn, New York and I got it 3 days.
Side note - I would like to order another Retractable Sync cable. I confirmed this one works with flashing all of the ROM (Odin). The best deal is 99 cents on ebay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Micro-USB-U...878730?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item2a114ce60a), but it ships from Hong Kong. I did find one for $2.88 shipped from the US. (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Retractable...272649?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item2eb4b53f09)
Thank you!
Hey thanks for the tip! Ordered two!
Amazon also offers a Samsung OEM charger for $2.95 if you don't want to deal with Fleabay. I got a couple these and they work fine, although the cable is fairly short.

The picture on Amazon shows it is .7A
Def .7 amps and yes they are Galaxy S OEM chargers
Paired with a 6' cable it's perfect setup for office
It'll charge slower than the OEM one. But at least it's cheap.

Can someone who has these chargers download Current Widget from the market and use it to measure how many mA these chargers actually provide. The one included with the phone charges at about 370 mA. (This figure is different than the 'rated' amperage, which is the max through the outlet. I would like to know how much is going actually into the battery)

I use this one from Best Buy:
http://m.bestbuy.com/m/e/product/detail.jsp?skuId=1114106&pid=1218221913668#product-overview-open
It doesn't say in the specs on Best Buy's site but it outputs a total of 2amps. Your phone will draw only what its capable of, but the 2amp output will allow your phone to draw at its maximum charge rate. It also has a USB port on the charger for charging a second device. If you 2 devices are charging at once then it splits the 2amps between the 2 devices for a max of 1amp each. If only one device is plugged in then the full 2amps is directed to that device.
The Motorola charger linked to above has an output of 950mah which is just shy of the stock wall charger that comes with the G2X. It will suffice and charge fine, but for max charge rate find a charger that is rated over 1amp. The one I linked you to works great. I've been using it since I got my G2X in April and have had no issues whatsoever.
I notice the one I linked to doesn't list the specs so I took a pic of the tag on mine to share

I'd say this

very minimalist, charges twice as fast as the other chargers. Sadly, you had to get your own USB cable

Just curious if you know the charging specs on this one? Since its USB its gonna be 5V output, but I'm wondering the output amperage. Its the amps that makes it a faster or slower charge. Phones are designed to handle a certain max amperage when charging and will accept up to that amount. For instance if the phone can accept 1.5 amps charging, then a 2amp charger would allow you to charge at the max rate. It won't take the full 2amps but having a 2amp charger will ensure that there's enough juice flowing to let it pull the 1.5amps its designed for.
So I'm just wondering the output amps of this charger if you know it.

OEM cables vary in length...

I thought I was going insane when the N9005 cable to me looked so scrawny & tiny (I have a UAE Blush), but then I compared it to my SM-900T & the 900T cable is a full foot longer. Whys samsung even bother...I have never heard of this happening, but its amusing.
Not entirely sure about the varied lengths between the 900* and 9005 between regions besides this one but...I honestly dont see why people outside of NA have to suffer with stupidly shorter cables, Unless its a UAE thing but it couldnt even go behind a dresser, maybe I lost the secret cable cutting length war.
cable lenght
I was wondering about this too, I am from mexico, and my cable is the longest, 130 cm, and the thickest, 4 mm, in some way it is a little cumbersome, so, I got a wireless charger, it charges at a slower rate, but has the aditional benefit of less wearing off the usb port, I charge my phone at night, so the charging time is not important, an? I carry a rechargeable batt charger of 3000 mA in my car
Mine seemed loads shorter then my previous s4 and s3 cables. This one doesn't even reach my bed.
It's really annoying seen as though it is the new usb 3.0 design and other cables charge slower..
Samsung are pushing my patience lately with all the knox crap and software faults etc.. seem they are really going downhill.

OEM Charger

Does anyone know where i can get an identical charge like the one that came with the phone? The reason why is because the one that came with my G3 makes an almost hissing sound during charging and its making me nervous.
does it need to be identical? any 2.1a wall charger with a usb port will do fine. I use my wife's HTC and Nook plugs all the time
Ok and it doesn't damage the battery?
uhm no. rechargeable batteries need a charging circuit in order to not overcharge and blow up (tried it, it does happen lol) consumer electronics have this built in because they don't want their consumers catching fire. As long as you provide it power, it'll charge. The charging circuit will take care of the rest. 2.1a chargers are widely available and will provide a fast charge
Are you sure it's a 2.1a charger? I swear my D850 was 1.8a.
Yeah mine is 1.8a
Look on Amazon, but search for G2 chargers. I don't remember seeing any in the g3 section
Edit: looks like they have one now

My charger doesn't make a hissing sound while charging (at least not that I have noticed. I haven't stuck my ear up to the charger however). If this is happening to you, I would contact LG or your service provider to see about getting a replacement.

Literally any USB charger with a charging capacity of 2 amps or greater. Amperes are not like volts; a power supply can't have "too many" amps for a circuit.
