Hi all
I'm looking for an app for the SW2 that enables me to pause and play (quite often) audio books using Poweramp. Preferably I don't want to have to tap loads of times to do this!
Many thanks in advance
Here it is:

Thanks for that
Has anyone actually used it? I simply want to know how easy it is to pause then play a track.
Try it. I'm using it, it works nice for me.

I haven't bought the watch yet! Lol. It all depends on whether it does what I want it to (I'm in and out of client's premises all day so need to 'fiddle' as least as possible )
So can you tell me how many presses/taps it takes to pause, then play a track, please?

Just tap on the screen and the music stops. Further you can manage volume and next/former song. You have the art as background if your mp3 disposes of this.
Works great

Wow. So just one tap, nothing else (ie turning watch display on) pauses the track, and another tap will start playing?
Of course you have to press the hardware button first to wake the smartwatch from standby state!

Ah OK. Just thinking about that, when you wake the watch up how long does the screen stay on before it goes back to standby? Can you adjust this setting?
Cheers!
Not adjustable, the time is ~5sec.

I see. So, it's a press of the button then one tap to pause. Then another press of the button then one tap to play? I think I can live with that
Really appreciate your response - I think my mind's made up. I want one!
Just another quickie. If I receive a Whatsapp msg can I read it on the watch screen?
Yeah. With a help of WatchIt app (notifications) you can read the WhatsApp message too.

Great. The more I learn about the watch the sooner I want to buy it!
Do you know if the rubber strap can be replaced? Or is it integral?
It's a standard 24mm strap that can be changed. Any 24mn bracelet can do.

Or rather, you should double tap the power button then you go directly to last open app that would normally be poweramp control pro.
Before I knew this procedure I was rather dissaponted with the watch (this is not mentioned in the user guide)
from the start I pressed power button - home - app, then I could control the music.

Hi Guys,
I just got my SmartWatch 2, but can't seem to find the stopwatch. Is there one?
This says there is:
http://developer.sonymobile.com/201...ch-2-announced-new-sdk-version-to-come-video/
I guess someone will make an app soon anyway, just seems ridiculous to sell a watch without that function.
Cheers,
Rich
Mine came with a timer app already installed onto it... If it's not showing it might be off in the settings menu an then apps.

Stopwatch is essential for the watch. I am wondering why it missed out but have a timer in it.
Stopwatch for SmartWatch 2
There is a new Stopwatch for SmartWatch 2 available. It needs your SmarWatch connected & synched with your Smartphone.
Check it out

This stopwatch works as a countdown, so you at first have to set an amount of time to start decreasing from (hourglass button).

You're talking about the Countdown that cames built-in with the Smartwatch 2 firmware.
I was talking about the Stopwatch for SmartWatch 2 that is for sale on Google Play
They are 2 different apps
A Light: Flashlight 2.6
LED/screen light 1-Click ad-free.
Flashlight with no interface. To turn on/off - click the app icon.
Works with locked screen.
Vibrates every minute & turns off automatically after 10 minutes to save battery life (you can change it in the settings).
Lights by LED or screen if device has no LED.
A-Light is free and contains no ads.
Please leave a nice review and share the flashlight with friends, if you like it.

Does it do anything? Like vibrate, show message, notification?
Do other flashlights work ok?
It start, show the notification for turn off it but nothing else happens.
Flashlight of MacroPinch (on play store) works great, so others, but now I don't remember the name of the apps..

Now in Google Play!
In Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=today.app.a.alight
Home page: http://android-lighton.blogspot.com
Google Play MOBILE: A-Light: 1-Click Flashlight
Need advice. A-Light has a vibration at the start to avoid accidental activation. But some people find it annoying in flashlight and a waste of batteries.
Should I remove it? Does it annoy you? )
Nexus owners needed for testing!!! Please test 1.03beta: View attachment alight1.03.apk
New version 1.1 : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=today.app.a.alight
Nexus support added!
New version 1.2 - installing on the sd card added.
1 click action is great! Set up to light up on my.
However, I would like the ability to turn off vibrate. Can you include that?
Why does this app need access/permission to take pictures/videos?

Thank you for the feedback!
If I add the "settings" to turn off vibrate it wouldn't be 1-Click any more Vibration has been added to prevent accidental turn on the flashlight. Some people need this.
About permissions - the led is a part of a camera. Android does not give access to the flash separately, only the camera entirely.
A-Strobe
Please check my new app (in the same style):
A-Strobe: the simplest LED stroboscope.
Switch on / off by pressing the icon. Frequency adjustable by volume buttons.
Works with locked screen.
Test period expired. Now free version available only for some contries.
Paid version. $1
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=today.app.a.aflashlight
Thank you.
I've changed my mind, free version available again in all contries. :good:
But if you install the A-Flashlight (similar app cost $1), I can drink an extra cup of coffee
Thanks!

i believe that function would cause your phone battery to drain dramatically? but just pressing the home button with your saved finger print will wakeup/unlock your phone, which i think is good enough already

Yes. I used it myself. Go play store, install the app hi locker. Check security setting in the app, enable fingerprint. Then set the time duration for how long you want the fingerprint to be awake.

Would it be possible to add this feature with xposed or just root? No developers are actually working on this?

Its easier to just press the home button as @zincsnow said. This will eat battery life since the S6 only has a 2700mah battery.

If you swipe down from the watch face (eg from the 12:00 down to the 6:00 position) you get a new screen with the battery level at the top, as well as a number of other watch status/setting quick buttons (airplane mode, etc).

Hi,
It seems what you want to do cannot be achieved within EMUI directly. Which is weird because other devices allow to do so and given how it's marketed by Honor, it should allow such basic commands.
So only thing I can think of is to try to get an app that will allow you to remap your buttons from the Play Store. And hope one of them will allow you to do what you are looking for...
PLEASE NOTE : some of those apps will not work when display is "off". So you may want to turn on "Always on" feature (in the screen locking settings at the bottom...).
Hope this can be of any help...
Regards.

Yeah. Most of them have properly working lockscreens that shows notifications from apps.
Huawei's implementation? Sometimes it shows, sometimes it doesn't. Mostly it doesn't. Even after enabling all the options.
They also mangled the double click power button for camera shortcut. Try to activate the camera shortcut when listening to music or watching a video. The worse part is that they don't even use the double power button shortcut for anything.
