Internet Lock enables you to protect your Wifi and Data Connection by setting up a secret PIN. Nobody will be able to connect Wifi/Data Connection unless they know the secret PIN.
I created this application after my prepaid balance got exhausted numerous times due to my kid clicking on some ads which will cause data charges
The application prevents incurring data charges due to accidental clicks on ads or delibrate attempts to use internet on your device.
Simple, Effective and Lightweight!
It does not require complex configurations or anything, you can just install the application, setup a pin and get protected in seconds. It is very lightweight and requires very less disk space and memory.
The application can be downloaded from google play store play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.msappz.internetlocklite OR downloaded from attachment.
Great

Good work buddy,
was waiting for this app since 1 yr.
i was too had the same problem as you got.
Thanks
Hello forum !
I just found this app because i try to avoid an accidentally switching on of mobile data on my parents tablet.
You know, it's very easy to switch mobile data on by just pulling down the bar on android 4.2 and click on the mobile data switch.
Unfortunately this happened a few times to my parents already and with their prepaid card, every activation of mobile data is charged with 2 Euro (per day).
I tried out this app on my phone today, but for me it seems that it activates mobile data first and only after that asks for the code.
But in this case, the 2 Euro would already be gone ...
Is this correct or is the app really blocking all traffic until keying in the password ?
I'm not able to try it out on my parents tablet right now, so i would be happy for an answer.
Thanks
Thorsten
Good work buddy.
Nice app .
You don't know how much did you helped me ?
in the login screen, press home button then you can go internet. useless app
App is not working.

Hello,
I would like to know if anyone knows how to disable the internet access on the Touch Pro for i do not have a Data Plan for my phone yet, and i do not want to be billed for unnecessary data being used unkowingly.
Thanks in advance
i really haven't seen such a tool, but the safest way that i could think of is to change ur network setting to fake ones like random numbers and address, so in case of some app connecting on its own u wont be charged!!
ditto that. just remove the settings for media net.
thanks i shall try it out =]
I changed my "connections>advanced" settings to point to "My Work Network" rather than "Medianet" and disabled data in the wireless manager. I can still connect to my wireless network and use the internet but if I'm not on that it just times out. I'm checking my online billing every day since doing that as I'm still not 100% trusting of it but it seems good so far.
Just install this freeware app http://www.modaco.com/content/pocket-pc-software/246171/new-free-utility/
Works great.
Has anyone heard of this - https://www.mobiledefense.com/ ? It's so if your phone is lost/stolen you can get on the computer and see where it is. You can also do other things like lock it remotely. However it doesn't seem like you can activate the GPS remotely, so it's not that useful because you'd have to keep GPS turned on all the time, which drains the battery too much. Has anyone used this, is there a way to activate GPS remotely that I'm missing? Or is there another app that can activate it remotely?
I've been using this app for over a year. It works great and you can activate the GPS remotely. It does this by sending a txt message to the phone that allows you to control the program on the phone via the web interface.
Correction, GPS is not always active, it only becomes active once the application is activated, meaning you are not emitting a GPS signal at all times, only when you start to track it does it do that so it does not take up battery.
So far, you can make Mobile Defense a system application by moving it into the system memory as a system application. This will prevent uninstall and, if not already the feature to remotely activate the GPS after its been disabled.

How do you do that?
And you're right about the GPS not constantly being activated, I tried it out, it's pretty nice.
I had Mobile Defense, then i switched to Wave Secure. MUCH better. Its still there even tho you wipe the phone, and backs up your contacts, messages, and pictures, all ONLINE for free. Can't beat that!

I'll look into this. I'm die hard mobile defense, but i wipe so damn much i don't have it half the time.
Mobile Defense vs Wave Secure
I can't seem to find a way to get WaveSecure to kick on my GPS. Device tracking is pretty much useless and hasn't been able to lock onto my location all day.
Although it is super sweet for backing up almost everything on your Android phone. Which is something I don't believe MobileDefense does.
I still like MobileDefense for tracking my phone because it has the ability to turn on GPS remotely via a SMS. Don't forget you can active a car alarm sound remotely as well.
I can't wait to get a Dell Mini 5 and hope one of these companies add anti-theft device lock with auto snap shots with E-Mail back up!
Hi,
I've recently discovered that very large amounts of data are being transferred from my Nexus S which is pushing me over my data limit of 750mb. I downloaded 3G watchdog and monitored traffic for a while and noticed that every hour or so data use goes wild running into the tens of mb over a very short period of time.
I'm currently running MIUI-109020 and have a fairly standard range of apps installed. I've tried killing all of the apps that might possibly transfer data but this makes no difference. So, at the moment I've turned off mobile data before it bankrupts me but obviously I'd like to have it back on again.
Anyone, anywhere have any thoughts or pointers as to what might be going on or how I could solve it?
BTW I'm in the UK on Vodaphone's network.
Cheers

That much data? Email, gmail, facebook sync.
Install Droidwall and prevent some apps from the network.
I would also like to see what exactly Android is doing all the time...
MIUI has a built in Monitor app. Use that to see which app is using up your data.
You may also want to opt-out of MIUI stats. I'm not sure of how much data it sends, but it will cut down on some of your data usage.
Droidwall is a great suggestion as well. Prevent some apps from connecting on 3G but allow them on wifi. If you want some apps to connect on 3G, check your sync settings.
Sent from my Evo + MIUI using Tapatalk!
Thanks for your replies. I've now installed droidwall and that looks like it could help. I've also purchased the pro version of 3G Watchdog (hadn't realised MIUI had a monitor app) and that's showing me what how much data my apps are using.
I phoned Vodaphone and they increased my data plan to 1GB which gives me a little leeway while I try to work this out. So I'll test it again tomorrow and see if I can work out what's going on.
Cheers

Is your Gallery app syncing pictures to Picassa? It's the only thing i can think of that would explain that much data in a short period of time.
Problem solved. Google+ was the culprit. By default the app had Instant Upload of all photo's and video's set to on. That has cost me about £50 since installing the app in late September when it first came out. Thank's Google
Thanks for all your tips. At least now I have a better handle on data monitoring and firewall protection.

Wow, never thought Google Plus would use that much, even though it syncs a ton. Good think I have unlimited, may want to look into it yourself.

Guys I need some help from u. On market I saw one app 'Bluekeyboard JP' app where we can connect bluetooth keybord. I saw one vdo also on youtube. It shows that it really work flawlessly. I wanted to try it because I type daily lots of msgs to my gf. But its really annoying to use touchscreen ketbord. If a bluetooth keyboard works for me then really I will be very happy. But problem is that I don't have bluetooth keyboard to test it. I couldn't test it. So if anybody has blutooth keybord or mouse then please test it with mentioned app and report here.
Also I am frustrated with multitasking of our phone. I want to browse two heavy browsers opera & mozilla simultaneously but after sometime of the browser definitely get closed without my permision. I want that any app must be closed only if I permist to get close. I found one strange thing that nimbuzz messanger never get close. It gets closed when only we want to close it manually (i tested it). Can we have same thing in other apps also...?
Is there anybody who can help me...?
I have 1 but it has a USB port........so u say we don't need it by using software ....I'll try it after i reach home I'm out of station .......

ya obviously buddy. I want one more help. Do u know any app or mod by which there should be automatic enable or disable data connection?? I mean to say in nokia phones its really easy to connect net just by launching opera & insert a site link. But in our android phone we have to first enable it before launching opera. Also when we have to close opera then even after that data connection stays connected. But in nokia when we close opera then automatically data connection also get disconnected. That is much reliable.
Umm...I will see!
Dont know much of Apps!

I made a couple of searches and found that its known as Connection on Demand.
Though nothing found for our beloved Android OS.
I guess the best alternative for you would be to use some app to disconnect data connection when.screen is off and reconnect when you turn on screen.
As for Connection On Demand, didn't hit anything yet.
About BT Mouse and Keyboard, i dont have any, so.cant help you wth it.

Tasker works flawlessly, you set a rule that "if" app Opera opened then start data connection (you need another app APNdroid for toggle) then add exit task so when you close opera thedata will be off. It can also start data based on gps location or switch wifi based on ssid or location.........it has endless possibility.
Now coming to your sms typing problem, your GF will be happy to listen your voice so use inbuilt voice recorder in .amr attach the file via sms or email her............she would love it. (hope she has compatible phone else use .mp3)
If you still want text then use & practice sound typing, the inbuilt mike on keyboard does a good job after some practice. There is another app vlingo its very good for voice commands.
Typing is old method, be smart with your smartphone.......lol

Anyway tasker with the correct profile will do all your jobs, it can even call the "personal contact" at a specified time all you need is a profile setting.

its really working flawlessly. It has taken my 2 hours to actually understand whole app. But still unable to set only one thing. Now i have set profile in such way that when i open market then data connection will start automatically & when i close market then data connection will stop automatically. But here problem is if i want open another app by keeping on market then as soon i press home key to come to home screen then data connection gets off.
Means when market is actualy open on my screen only then data connection remain on otherwise it will go off. I want that even if i do multi tasking then data connection remain on. What setting should I do?

1 way to do it but I am not sure so best is to try it else ask this in tasker thread, there are already many built user profiles on tasker site they can be used or modified.
http://tasker.wikidot.com/profile-index
Multiselect all apps which you need data enabled, so as any one or more apps is opened data is enabled now don't have a usual exit task, instead make another task where "if" data mode not used for "set" time then "toggle" data. So lets say you set 5 min idle then it will switch off data after 5 min of non usage.
Just wondering why do you want to switch on & off data so frequently? Is your 3g sucking power or giving you huge bill?

my simple funda behind doing all these things is that i want internet functionality like nokia symbian phones where we dond have to turn on or off data again & again before or after doing our net relate work. It should completely automatically handle by phone.
I use docomo 4gb/month data plan for 94 rs. I download movies, vdos most of the time through ucbrowser. To download a movies it normally takes nearly 2 hours. So thats why i keep it running in background & do all other stuff like gaming, msg etc.
I set tasker profile in such a way that when I enter any net related app say ucweb then it will enable net. And when I exit (means completely closing of that app) then it will disable net.
But here funny problem is tasker consider 'exit' meaning as only going that app in background. So as per set profile it un-necessary disable net when i let ucweb run in backgroun.
I also tried as per ur suggestion. I set a timer say 15 min. But again same problem happens. Lets say my ucweb need approximately 2 hours to complete download a movie in background. Then obviously when i will let ucweb to run in background then as per timer tasker will wait for 15 min & after that it will turn off net without caring that ucweb still need net connection to download movie.
I want simple profile which will do only this
1. When i open net related app then 2g connection should on.
2. This 2g connection must run even that net related app go in background.
3. This 2g connection must turn off only when i exit from net related app (means complete closing of that app).
My requirement is very simple. Still i will try myself. U also help me
I try to tweak the phone to save as much battery as it can, but I still want to be able to use the Lost Phone functionality. What settings do you suggest?
For now I'm using these settings:
- Allow WIFI to sleep when in sleepmode
- Allow WIFI to scan even if WIFI is turned off
- No GPS
- Location is on battery save mode
- Don't allow mobile data connection when screen is of (using Llama)
Now im using the default Google find my phone website. For the theftie I installed Lockwatch (it will take a pic after a few tries of entering the wrong code). But you need a data connection / wifi for the app to sent the mail? So how to circumvent this if wifi and data is off after the phone goes to sleep??
I don't have Lockwatch. But it looks like a really nice simple app. From what I can read in the product description it implies that Lockwatch turns on the required features by itself GPS, WiFi, etc. Have you tried "stealing" your own phone with your power saving settings activated? The other thing not mentioned in the product description is does the app continue to send periodic emails to update the phones location after it has been stolen and is moving? Maybe you know? I am using Lookout which can be interrogated at any time to located the phone. But it is not a lightweight app, which makes Lockwatch all the more interesting. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I can't answer your question, but maybe someone else can, plus my question!
I monitored the battery life of my Moto G LTE for a while and I can say that in standby doesn't drain battery, even if gps and mobile networks are active (I tried using Runtastic while riding racing bike for about 15km: 1h of gps and mobile network consumed about 10-15%).
Remember that, even if you turn on location, doesn't mean that phone searches costantly gps signal, it searches for it only when apps request for it.

You're welcome. I try to test it a few times. I'm still not sure when the mailing and gps kicks in. I do receive a mail when fake stealing my phone So it works good from time to time.
There is an premium feature that will try to sent again when there is data connection again.
If you want even more lightweight, im now using Avira with Lockwatch. If you like your phone to take pics for app locking, you can try Smart App Lock. And if you dislike Chrome, use CM Browser

The "time to time" bit sounds worrisome! I'm on this group because I gave my wife a Moto G. She just wants a working phone, so now that it's pretty much setup right and she can "drive" it proficiently I tend not to mess with it (read - I am not allowed!) . We live in Peru 6 months a year and we both like the fact that I can ping her phone using Lookout if necessary to see that's she's safe. However, they removed the photo taking feature from the free version, and the paid version is now about $30 p/a. Quite reasonable, but this has prompted me to see what else is out there before giving them my money. I have read good things about Avira ($10 for Pro version), so your recommendation might be perfect. I have also just looked at avast! Anti-Theft (pro version $15 p/a), this also seems very comprehensive, I am not too worried about antivirus protection as she only uses the basic's. Anyway I'm still looking around to look at all possible options. Thanks!
Oh, and sorry I don't mean to pull your thread off track. But you do want a location app that overrides your battery saving setup when needed. So the more possible options open to you the better right? On our Moto G, the WiFi/3g data is always on. We get a 2 to 3 day typical battery life.

It's ok, maybe some good anti-theft app can do this overriding the battery saving setup thingy. Im now trying "Android Lost", "AntiTheft & Find My Phone" and "Theftie" (all free of course) . Since we are just both users, maybe we can help each other here on XDA.
Sure, I for one would like to know which app you consider to be the best. Also the reasoning behind the decision.
I hope that you you find one that can override your power saving settings. I would hope that they all can...

Have you tried cerberus? It's one of the most complete out there at a reasonable price
I have to say Cerberus is very complete, I think this is the first app I have seen that specifies in its description that GPS is turned on even if its turned off. Edit:- not quite, only on systems earlier than 2.3.3 on later version you have to jump through hoops and convert Cerebus to a system app. Then In the case @justanicename the phone still needs to get access to a WiFi of GSM internet connection. I presume the only chance is that if the phone is stolen the thief will try to use the phone and the GSM data connection will become active when the screen comes on?
I did some further research on the battery saving settings and found a discussion sayin that actually turning on/of the wifi/dataconnection/gps is draining the battery more. So I will try this for a while. Cerberus looks really nice, it seems that Theftie does a lot of what cerberus does too.
Hi, I tried Cerberus yesterday. It does everything as advertised. The memory footprint is 4.4mb, compared with Lookout's 19mb, though Lookout does provide antivirus protection. I started to try Theftie today, but was putoff by the requirement to sign in using Google+ a service that I don't like and don't use. So I removed Theftie. I will go with Cerberus costing the one time 3 Euro. Thanks @agusaon for the pointer.
