Reflash the Rom with smartflash.

It could be a problem with firmware. You seem to be using Gb firmware. As you're S-on so it's not possible for you to flash firmware directly. You can try going back stock and update to ICS OTA.

Phone is stuck in boot loop after installing ROM

I rooted my phone with revolutionary... did a factory reset.. when I was rooting my phone I noticed that it was HBOOT 1.18.0000 and now it is showing HBOOT 1.17.1111.. if that helps.. I tried to install 2 ROMs.. when I did, i made sure to wipe the data/cache.. im using clockmod recovery 5.0.1.0 and I updated it to 5.0.0.8 in ROM manager.. but now I cannot even access any ROM and am stuck in a boot loop. The ROM loads to a certain point but then just restarts and the HTC logo shows up and it keeps repeating..

The beautiful thing to do is use the search function on the forums and reading the OP helps.
If the rom your using requires a certain firmware and you don't have it installed than that's the issue.
Which rom you were trying to flash? if an ICS one you need to flash the right firmware first and then the rom from recovery.
Depending your ROM, you should choose a proper firmware to flash. See your used rom recommended FW.

Moving to Q&A
I have the same issue, tried installing older versions but still failing
Cyanogenmod 9
Same issue, I unrooted and re rooted which has allowed me to actually get onto Clockworkmod. Although any attempts to install another rom or wipe the phone look as though they are working but the phone just reboots into cyanogenmod again as though you have just installed it.
Anyone have any ideas?
bump i jsut got this problem after super wipe. Now wont boot into clockworkmod and tried to reflash still no luck. Cant use RUU as I cnat find the lastest version for the CID . Stock Recovery tried too and works but thats it.
sorry for late reply xD i just got help from my friend saying that it doesnt boot in CMW because of too much cache getting acculmulated..
He told me to fastboot erase cache..and thats it CMW started working again..

[Q] Boot loops after flashing ANY rom

I have S3 right here and I tried flashing Trickdroid ICS, JB as well as JellyBean Official TWRP zip.
It is S-ON, so after flashing the zip, I go to fastboot and flash boot.img.
I did it already 2-3 times with every rom, but every time I get boot loop. Phone restarts as soon as the first HTC logo disappears.
What is wrong with that?
Do you have the latest TWRP 2.4.1.0 ? (did you try reflashing your recovery?)
What android did you have before unlocking your bootloader? 4.0.3 or 4.0.4?
(and don`t panic If nothing works there is always a solution by relocking your phone and flash the ruu for your phone from here)

What's was you on before flashing a custom rom? because just a guess but I think it was 4.0.3 if that is so then try TrickDroid for S3 and get v3 which is 4.0.3 so should work.
It was stock, but I didn't check the version before flashing.
So, TD 3.0, then TD 5.0 and it will work?
By the way, what is better? TD 5.0 or JellyBean Official TWRP?

No only v3 but if you can get an RUU thats more up to date then do that and the v4/5 should work.
So you didn't install a custom kernal before

Em what he said he did.
You cannot flash S4 roms with an S3 phone, have you made sure that the Roms you flash are specifically assigned for S3? Cuz most are S4
Thanks, guys. That was HBOOT problem. I flashed latest RUU and then I was able to use JB roms.
I am terribly sorry to bump this thread but it is EXACTLY what I need. I read through it and am slightly confused with what you guys said.
Here's my situation:
I have a HTC Evo 3D and have tried running multiple ROMs and on every ROM I run into a boot loop. I use TWRP 2.2.0 and boot that onto my phone using the code "Fastboot boot twrp-shooter.img", then from there I go into TWRP and add the ROM to the root of my SDcard. Then I use TWRP to wipe my cache, delvik cache, system, and do a factory reset. Then I go to install from SDcard and install my desired ROM that I am trying. It is successful and when I reboot it shows the HTC logo, then the loading screen for the ROM, then it goes black, then back to the HTC logo and it continues to loop the same booting sequence over and over.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there something different that I should use or do?
I've been trying to figure out this issue for more than 36 hours and I am borderline psycho right now, I really need answers!

1. check if you are s-on or s-off. If you are s-on, you will also need to flash the kernel (boot.img) from a computer (after you flash the zip)
2. make sure your rom is compatible with your phone

[Q] Can't SIM unlock on CM9 & Can't boot into stock rom backup

I really need help with my HTC Sensation guys, here is where I am at;
I got a new phone and I wanted to give my HTC sensation to my dear old mum angel but she is on 02 (UK). So when I put her sim in it asks for the network unlock code, thats fine.
So I got the code online and put it in, says sucessful but then does nothing, which according to THIS THREAD is because I am running Cyanogenmod 9 which is a non Sense rom.
I booted into recovery (4EXT), Factory reset + Wipe Cache + dalvik, then restored my backup from before I installed Cyanogen (Stock ROM).
However, and this is where I run out of ideas, it just hangs on the "HTC Quietly brilliant" screen...
I read in THIS THREAD that it could be a kernel issue, so I also tried with the 3.32 kernel from THIS THREAD but no dice.
On a side note, I tried a few other roms, including the stock rom from step 2 in THIS THREAD, they all freeze up at the boot animation as well. The stock rom one makes a sound like it is trying to play the startup noise but then changes its mind.
So as a last resort I tried to find the RUU for my firmware and carrier which should be 3.32.771, but of course it doesn't exist. All I can find is 1.34.771 which would just throw an error...
Any help would be very much appreciated.
My phone details;
HTC Sensation
Bootloader UNLOCKED
S-ON
Recovery: 4EXT
Running: CM9
I also attached a fastboot getvar all output.
what recovery do you have?
use 4ext recovery(if you don't have it already) and enable smartflash from it before flashing any rom or restore any backup

+1 Internet's to you sir.
I wiped the cache, dalvik and data. Then turned smartflash on in ext4 tools before I restored the stock ROM and it works! It even unlocks and works with o2 now.
Thank you very much. :good:

[q] htc logo & the bootloop

Hi,
So, my htc explorer have a few problems:
- It's either stuck on the very first htc logo or in bootloop.
-For stock rom {htc_pico_stock_1.43.720.2} & CM9 rom {cm-9-20130304-UNOFFICIAL-pico}......Its stuck in the bootloop.
-For stock rom both {Htc_Explorer_AsiaIndia_stock} & {1.12 or may 1.14}........ Its stuck on the htc logo.
-I have tried both twrp and cwm, none works. Currently I have twrp.
-I can get into the bootloader and then into recovery and can easily flash roms ( which actually don't work )
Any expert bro here that can help me get the phone back to life. Please help out.

One more looped A310e...
Hi to all.
Please, help me to find out, what is wrong with my HTC Explorer A310e. I'am trying to change the stock 2.3.5 ROM to something more optimized, and stuck with the problem, that device is going to "hang" with almost any ROM After flashing and reboot there is a HTC logo and nothing more happens (I've even waited for 7 hours). The only ROM, that was able to boot for now is the HTC Sense 4.0 Lite Build#14
The device was complettely stock from the manufacturer. What I've already did:
1. Got the boot unlock .bin via htcdev and flashed it via fastboot.exe utility.
2. Flashed CWM 6.0.2.8 for Pico, but it doesn't work - after choosing the "recovery" option in boot menu, I see an HTC logo for a few seconds, then screen goes off. So, I've flashed v5 - it works, but can't install some of Cyanogen-based ROMs with the Status 7 Error.
3. Flashed TWRP 2.8.7.0 for Pico. The installation process of Cyanogen-based ROMs is now OK, but phone is not booting (stuck with HTC logo for infinite, or have a bootloop).
4. Tried the superwipe, mentioned in this thread, in various modes (install superwipe, than flash the ROM; install superwipe, reboot recovery, than flash the ROM, etc.), but no result
5. Partitioned SD-card with 1Gb of Ext3 partition + 64Mb swap (via TWRP function).
What I've missed or doing wrong?..
P.S. Sorry for errors, if there are ones, English - it's not my native language...
Mr. Snake0437,
Use superwipe and flash stock htc 1.43 version rom, only this one works using twrp. Well i haven't tried Philz recovery, use it, it might work and if it did do tell me. Best of luck
