This is a simple guide to add the Screenshot option to the power menu as well as other recovery options such as "Soft Reboot", "Reboot Bootloader", ect.
There are other guide but they are very extensive and super Looooong (Not too mention NOT Noob friendly) such as this one >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26980237

Leftover garbage
This worked nicely but I now have buttons on the bottom of my screen which are unnecessary as I have real buttons. Any idea how I can remove them? I cannot find any option in Gravitybox, et al.
Okay so I can confirm that this menu gets in the way and makes widescreen typing impossible as it obscures the keyboard. Not a good method for screenshot at all.

Phew!
Thankfully the problem is easy to resolve:
After installing all of the above, enabling the modules, rebooting and then configuring your options and then rebooting again for the changes to take effect, you can simply disable Gravitybox and reboot to remove the awful bottom buttons and keep the screenshot menu option.
Phew!
In fact: Gravitybox is completely superfluous and a waste of time. God knows why you think that it's needed.
And the Xposed installer will download the APM for you.

Hi all,
I just want to change my bottom bar to which look like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
If the Start Menu button and Close button are re-positioned into the Bottom Bar, they could be easily pressed as our fingers can reach(I still wonder why Microsoft has such a stupid idea to bring those 2 button on the topmost)
Anyone have an Ideal of how to do it, please help me.
Thank u.
Anyone could help me?
Thanks in advance.
there's an app that moves your taskbar to the bottom.. i forgot its name. if i manage to recall it i'll tell you
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=428317
Really thank u.
I already tried it, and disappointed. It's has a lot of bug. The result is: I have to bring Taskbar back to it's nature position.
I'm trying active corner on FtouchSL, which can emulate two bottom corner as taskbar button with Press a' Hold. It's not what I really want, but satisfied by now.
Thank u for your answers.
ftouchsl + wm5NewMenu, works for me, I also have remapped the left soft key to open the start menu. but as I have wm5NM I don't use the start menu much.
Yeah, I use WM5 New Menu too. But it only works on Today Screen, helping me for opening new doc quickly. I like to make a interface that can be fully touch controlled ( 'cause some hard keys of my Prophet is going to break )
I don't understand, wm5NewMenu works anywhere not just the today screen.

any screenshot?
check the first post...all are ss
this app is available on play store, and i dont like it cuz it a little bit lag
I've googled a few different queries and even checked an old thread about this app on this site but can't find an answer, so here goes.
I'm using an unmodified HTC Desire S and sometimes the app will just 'wake' my lockscreen without me doing anything. I can see this being an issue with battery life. One of the old threads did mention this problem but didn't give any insight on how to fix it, they just said "it has been fixed in later versions", and it clearly hasn't.
Thanks for reading.
edit: welp, didn't realise this wasn't in the general forums.
i use android 4.1.2 and use this button to add my own multiwindow apps
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36025159&postcount=39
it is useful but have this button :
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
in some apps like facebook , this button will cover the “send” button
is possible to do this?
sorry for my bad english
If you added the multi-window feature by editing the feature.xml file in the CSC folder, then edit that file again and remove the facebook app from the list and reboot. The button should be gone then.
Would like to know it to.
Maybe a bit smaller or something?
I've flashed the multi app mod, working great but sometimes the icon is in a anoing spot.

i remove it and facebook cant multiwindow any more
That's right. Your choice is the button and multi-window or no button and no multi-window. No way to have the button elsewhere unless the app is re-designed by facebook or Samsung re-designs the multi-window framework. Can't see either one happening anytime soon. Sorry.
Also, the button does go away if you run the app in a window, that might help.
there used to be a mod to make the multi windows button smaller.
where is it?
I use Pandora radio a lot and when it actually plays a song I like I use the home+power key to save the screens image. I've come to find that is currently not a feature on the omni ROM and would greatly appreciate getting it added in. By the way I'm using sprints galaxy note 2
Thanks in advance
Chris Loving
volume down + power doesn't work for you?
Screenshot and screen record are part of OmniROM already. They can be added to the power-button menu (Settings >Menus), as well as, for example, the long-press Home-button pop-up (Settings > Bars >Quick launch shortcuts)

The default setting is power+vol down button.

Hey @jeffsf I dont have the option to use the homebutton to take screenshots I just dont have that option, Do I need to go somewhere else, I am using 4.4.2 on N7100
You should already have it on a brief press of power and volume-down at the same time ("chord"), be able to add it to your long-press-power menu, or to the long-press-home. Unless there is something strange with the Note II, all options should be there for you.
Here's where to get to "Quick launch shortcuts" to set it as one of the long-press-home options.

Any way to remove the Small Apps Tray in the Recents Menu on the Z5? Is this ADB code still working? It worked for the Z3 w/o root. Hopefully someone can confirm. Thanks.
If you want to also remove the Small Apps:
adb shell
pm block com.sony.smallapp.launcher
pm block com.sony.smallapp.app.widget
exit
adb reboot
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
It works, but you'll have to use "hide" instead of "block". The only annoyance I see: the "clear all" button placement is wrong
Btw, it also works in a Terminal emulator. No need to ADB and all

Interesting. Thanks for your reply. Curious if there is a way to fix the button placement now. Probably not though. The code probably has to be modified to actually "block" it which will bring the Clear All button back down. Hopefully someone can come up with the proper code for us.
I'm pretty the "clear all" button position is hardcoded and takes into account that the small apps bar is there (and is not meant to be removed)

On the Z3 and Z3C, it indeed moved down to the right position, but it could be because it was "blocked" not "hidden". We just need to find the correct syntax.
I'll just sticky this here in case someone figures it out there:

Bump
So I followed this trick (found elsewhere) and it worked until yesterday. I tested out Ultra Stamina mode and after reboot it's back.... any way to not have to run this every time i run Ultra Stamina mode?
