Do you see any cracks on the digitizer (Touch Glass). Also does touch works? If your touch works that means your digitizer is fine and you only need to change LCD screen.

HTC One S Cracked Screen

Ok, so I barely cracked my screen today and the screen won't turn on. The key buttons still show a light when I unlock and lock, but nothing shows on the screen.
I was hoping it would be like this

I'd say you have to buy a new screen from ebay.

This is an issue with the LCD. In this device the LCD is fused to the touch screen digitizer (outer glass)
You will need to replace this fused LCD+touch screen digitizer to fix this issue and we have the parts, tools, and guides available and ready to ship.
chat with us live for more information at http://www.RepairsUniverse.com
How long would it take to ship it to Belgium?

I had this same problem too. I was... expressing my disapproval of the outcome of last Sunday's championship game... and the screen cracked slightly. I figured I destroyed it, so I ordered a replacement. I just replaced the screen and digitizer, reassembled it, and the problem persists. The phone will turn on, make noise, vibrate, etc, but no image. What else could I have damaged that would still blank out a new screen? The home/back/menu keys light up fine.
Thanks for the help!

[Q] HTC Sensation XE Digitizer

Hello,
I recently dropped my HTC Sensation XE, so the digitizer cracked.
I had it replaced by a friend today, but for some reason de home buttons (which should be red) lit up purple.
I have no clue why this is happening.
Does anybody have the answer?
Thanks!
Is Ur digitizer is from company or from internet or local
if its from internet or local then its digitizer is wrong as u have got a fake one which have a home button with purple colour
if u friend can replace a digitizer then he can also colour it .

Thanks. I noticed some strange vertical lines across the screen in daylight today.
I'm pretty sure that the digitizer is fake indeed.
EDIT:
I've contacted the company from which I bought the digitizer. I am awaiting their reply.
In case they won't reply, does anybody happen to know how I could color the home buttons red?

The strip is not replaceable as far as I can tell.
Should I use a red waterproof marker on the bottom of the digitizer to colour it?

[Q] Screen not responsive after replacement

Hi everyone,
I replaced my HTC Sensation screen yesterday due to it being cracked. The screen fitted fine but it seems that on the right side of the phone the screen can be pushed down slightly which means I have to push the screen down hard for a button to be pressed.
What can i do to fix this?
Thanks.

Cracked screen and now does respond

Hi everyone
The issue is that my screen cracked, no reason, I didn't sit on it or in didn't crash in the floor, simply cracked in my jacket pocket.
Now the issue is that half of the screen is not responding.
Is that normal? A small crack makes the touch completely unresponsive?

Yes. You've broken the touch screen, what do you really expect to happen?

Yes, and many do have problems. I work with touch screen systems for my job, so know how they work and how damage can affect them.

I think mostly phones which have LCD and Digitizer fused together seize to work. Phones which have different LCD and Digitizer continues to work ..

I think this happened because of keys which are present in pocket

Test if digitizer is broken.

I think this is the right section to post this question. If not, please warn me.
Recently I droped my phone (Sony Xperia J) and broke the LCD, then I turned it on to check if I had just broken the LCD or if the digitizer was also broken.
When I turned it on, the image was alright (despite the huge cracks on the LCD) but when I tried to insert the SIM pin, the digitizer seemed to be not working: when I first pressed the screen, instead of detecting (let's say) the digit "4" it detected the digit "9". I tried to clear that wrong number but apparently the digitizer couldn't detect any other touch.
Is there any way to check if the digitizer is broken? I was thinking about removing the LCD and trying to phisically test the digitizer by turning the phone on again and directly touch the digitizer.
Do you think that's a good idea?
You probably have problem with touch screen if the digitalizer is ok. So you just need to change touch screen.
Good Luck!

Well, I opened the phone and removed the LCD. Replaced everything and turned the phone on without the LCD. The image is 100% ok but when I tried to press something (directly in the digitizer) nothing happened. Does this mean that I have to replace the digitizer or does the digitizer need the LCD to work properly?
For the record I noticed a tiny scratch on the digitizer, probably made by the broken LCD.

LCD is digitalizer, glass top part is that shows/received touch so if lcd is working you just need to replace the glass

Oh I was confusing the two terms. Anyways, does that mean that in order for the touch to be recognized I need the glass? As I said, I directly touched the digitizer (the LCD as you said) and didn't got any response.

That's correct, that's why it's called touch screen.

Ok, thanks a lot for your help.
Just one more question. How fragile is the LCD? Because when I was trying to test it, I could see that there was two tiny scratches, but one of them was deep enough for me to feel the protrusion. Do you think that can be a problem?

Ok, in my ignorance I touched the LCD this time in order to check if it detected my fingers but I won't do it again
I'm gonna clean it with some dry cloth and then replace the LCD.
Thanks again for your help.
