[Share][Script]|int2ext+|Increase Internal memory of QMobile A2] - Miscellaneous Android Development

Hello All,
QMobile A2 is one of the popular smart phone in pakistan. Specs are good but it lacks in low internal memory i.e, 172 MB & also in RAM i.e., 256 MB ram.!! :/
So today i will tell u the method of increasing internal memory of QMobile A2 from 172mb to 1.6 gb !!
So before we start , i want to tell everybody that although the script nd idea nd a lil bit method is provided by me but the real method is by fahad ali(page member) & the trick that make fahad's method working for all is by @Erum Farooq (page member).
so now come to real method!
Requirements
1- QMobile A2(v2 & v3 both)
2- Root
3- Any one of my custom ROM (Latest GalaxJelly is recommended)
4- MiniTool Partition GET IT HERE
5- Int2ext+ script GET IT HERE
6- A Brain
Method
1- Firstly download partiton tool from above & install it.
2- Now connect ur sd card with card reader to pc nd delete all partions (if having)
3- Now make a new partition of FAT32 as primary nd select all space on sd card.
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fJWe1QJNrnA/UiJWuTj2F_I/AAAAAAAAAL0/B563ay_JCvg/s1600/Qmobile+A5+Internal+Memory+Increase+-+IMG-01.png[IMG]
4- Now disconnect card reader from pc nd took out the sd card from it.
5- now put the sd card in phone nd directly bootinto recovery.
6- Now select advanced option from there nd then partition sd card nd now choose the ext size (2048 recommended)
7- Now select 0m coz we don't need any swap partition nd let it partition the sd card( it will took 6-7 mints)
8- After the partitioning , now reboot.
9- Remove any link2sd script from ur phone i.e, delete 11link2sd from system/etc/init.d nd also install-recovey.sh from system/etc.
10- Now install Steric busybox installer & link2sd.
11- Now if u r using Galaxjelly then open root browser nd it will ask u to download utilities ,just select yes!
12- Now open data folder & delete rngd.pid named folder from there & now close root browser.
13- Now open link2sd app( at start it will ask u to create mount script so just cancel it )
[url=http://postimage.org/][img]http://s6.postimg.org/62i7rzuap/2013_10_07_19_26_37.png[/url]
14- Now scroll download nd select playstore then action then integrate it with system.
[/url
15- Now again select busybox installer then action then integrate it with system.
[url=http://postimage.org/]
16- Now close link2sd nd reboot phone.
17- After rebooting , open busybox installer nd then select install nd then smart install.
18- Now open seeder app nd enable it.
19- Now download int2ext+ script from above nd copy it to ur sd card.
20- Now copy int2ext+ i.e., 40int2ext from sd card to to system/etc/init.d
21- give it full permissions like below.
22- Also change the ownership like below.
23- Now reboot into recovery
24- Wipe dalvik cache from advanced option nd then clean cache partition nd now goto mountsandstorage nd there format sd ext
25- Now say Bismillah nd reboot
26- first reboot can took 5 mints so wait it to boot.
If u have follow all steps correctly then your memory should be increased now

Great guide! This script works on all available ROMs of A2.
A custom ROM is not necessary. Just that on the Stock ROM init.d is not supported by default so it has to be added by using "Pimp My ROM" application.
I have tested it on all 4 ROMs currently available that are Stock, THUNDERSTORM1, D-XPERIA HD and GalaxJelly.
Here are screenshots of my QMobile Noir A2 v2 with the script running on different ROMs:

[Guide][Script][D2EXT+] Removing Darktremor A2SD and installing D2EXT+

This is a small guide on installing D2EXT+ on HTC Explorer which is a fantastic solution for low internal memory problems. D2EXT+ works on any ROM with init.d support. I've tried this method on JaggyRom (3.2.1) (it supports init.d and I don't like A2SD) and it works perfectly.
Disclaimer: I will not be responsible if you brick your phone. Please follow the instructions carefully.
D2EXT+ is a fantastic script which mounts /data to /sd-ext rather than moving your apps to sd-ext (as in Link2SD/ A2SD). I have tried INT2EXT+ but i cannot get the wi-fi to work on this rom.
Why only D2EXT+?
I've used A2SD and its very unstable and cause vague errors.
Seen other scripts move /data/app contents to sd-ext, the phone still shows low internal memory. (Which btw decreases as you go on installing apps)
With D2EXT+ you can use the option "Move to SD"/"Move to Phone" without any problem.
INT2EXT+ is better but wi-fi issues are there does not work. If you try that then please post the results.
Part 1: Removing Darktremor A2SD Script
To do this you just need to remove some files using any file manager. I personally prefer X-plore (You can download it for free on PlayStore).
If you're using X-plore then goto Configuration->Root access and select Superuser+mount writable.
Before you delete any files move apps/dalvik-cache back to internl memory.
Now navigate to /system/app using X-plore under Root and delete com.elgubbo.a2sdGUI-1.apk
Now navigate to /system/etc/init.d and delete 00banner,02firstboot,04apps2sd,S70darky_zipalign
Now in /system/bin delete all files containin a2sd/apps2sd in their name
Reboot
Now A2SD will not work anymore
Part 2: Installing D2EXT+
Firstly, remove A2SD/Link2SD or any such scrips/apps you may be using. Part 1 of this guide shows you how you can remove A2SD from JaggyRom.
This guide assumes that you already have partitioned your SD card. In case you haven't then you can have a look here but make sure the second partition is ext 2/3/4 and not fat32.
You can find and download D2EXT+ from the original thread here.
Open the .zip file you just downloaded and navigate to /system/etc/init.d
Extract the file 40d2ext and place it in the root of your SD card.
Now on the phone open up X-plore or any other root file manager and move 40d2ext to /system/etc/init.d
Set file permissions to 777 or rwe- rwe- rwe-. (In X-plore long press 40d2ext->Permissions->Tick all boxes->OK)
Reboot into recovery (do not do a normal reboot!!).
In mounts and storage format /st-ext
Reboot (Normal)
First boot may take time (Please be patient!!).
To verify the script is working goto storage and check internal free space. It should have increased depending on the size of your sd-ext partition. I'm using a 1GB partition on a 16GB Class 4 card. Check out the screenshot below...

Update #1
The above procedure is abblicable to other scrips on the download page as well. I noticed that using D2EXT+ poses a problem that the /data/dalvik-cache is mounted to /sd-internal for speed purposes. Now, as HTC Explorer has very less memory, it will become impossible to install a large number of apps even with a big sd-ext partition.
Solution: Install D2EXT instead of D2EXT+. This can be also downloaded from the link provided above. But simple replacing and rebooting won't make the desired changes. My Solution: After removing A2SD and placing D2EXT as mentioned above. I did a factory wipe using recovery. After that it worked flawlessly and i am now able to install as many apps as i require.
Does anybody feel that ur phone is too slow after doing this method?! :\
As such phone dosn't seem slow. But if you want to increase sd card performance then enable readahead tweak. Search forums for that...u'll find the script. Btw mount2sd is also capable of doing that. Choice of scripts depends on u ( of course )
Hit thanks if I helped

[guide]Link2sd- virtual internal memory[pictorial guide]

[Guide with pics 4 noobs]
Hello heros (and a 3or4 heroines I've seen around here )
This is a tutorial on how to partition your SD card and start linking apps to SD card (I have included screen shots fore each step to avoid confusion and also to make it easier for beginners )
INTRODUCTION
Wat is linking to SD??
------> as the name says linking apps to SD is moving applications and their belonging resources to a special partition in SD card and creating a link to them for easy access.
Y link to SD???
------> I will tell it in short...
Apps perform better when they are on internal memory rather than on SD card because there is an easier access to their resources.. but not all phones have enough internal memory to move all apps to internal memory ... so keeping apps on SD and creating a link to them ensures better and faster performance of all apps even in devices with low internal memory ..eg galaxy y,galaxy mini,galaxy ace,HTC wildfire,galaxy fit, galaxy Geo etc etc
Software's needed
1.mini partition tool (for PC ie windows)
2.link2sd (for mobile ie android)
PROCEDURE
pleez following the procedure carefully and exactly to avoid any inconvenience
1. First you have to download Mini Tool Partition Wizard Manager. You can download it in the link above... download it and install it on PC.
2. Insert your SD card to a card reader and open it on your computer.(not via USB cable)
3. Back up all your files to the computer because partitioning will wipe your data.
4. Open Mini Tool in your computer. Locate your SD card (be careful in choosing and make sure not to choose the drive of your computer)
5. Right click and choose Delete.

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
6. Right click on it again and choose Create New. Create “FAT32″ partition (This is where all your media files will go. Be sure to make it bigger than the 2nd part)
7. Select “Create as: PRIMARY”
8. Next, create an ext2/ext3/ext4 partition (I suggest ext2 cause it works on all roms and kernels). This is where your apps will go. I suggest a value of 512Mb would be big enough but its ur choice...
9. Select “Create As: PRIMARY” (make sure that it is both set to primary because it will not work if it is not set to primary)
10. Click the “Apply” button on the top left corner and wait for it to finish the process. Done.
11. Put back your SD card to your phone and switch it on.
12. Download and install Link2sd from Google Play Store link given above.
13. Open Link2sd. You will be prompted to choose between ext2, ext3, ext4 and FAT32. Select ext2.
14. It will say mount script created. Reboot your phone now.
15. Open link2sd and if the message doesn’t show up, you succeded.
16. Go to Link2sd>Settings>check the autolink (to automatically move apps upon installation)
17. If you already have some apps, select “move to phone” then after moving select “Create Link” (be sure to check the three files: app, dalvic-cache and library files)
18. To check your memory, select “Storage Info”. This will show you the current state of your internal memory, FAT32, and ext2 partition.
19. Now you’re done and ready to install vast amount of applications as you wish!
1 request guys ... u see above this at least 4-5 hours out if my life that I spent to make this thread ... so I don't ask u not to share it... but pleez don't just copy paste this in different threads or in ur freaking blogs... if u want to share pleez share a link to this thread ... thank u .
And don't forget to hit thanks (only if this helped of course )
Have a good day...

I wouldn't recommend this method.
Your SD Card is going to corrupt faster.
If your SD Card corrupts, your phone is useless because you redirected the RAM to the card.
