This phone is the best in its price range in my country, but I have read some reviews and user opinions and found issues like :
-phone memory filling unnecessarily
-camera quality, focusing,over exposure
-mic quality
-restarting due to home screen wallpapers
-touch screen sensitivity
-wifi not stable
I dunno whether they are present in all phones or just some, so could u guys tell us the truth about those issues????
Thanks
The only issues I never noticed on my phone are restarts due to wallpapers and WiFi being unstable. Everything else happens with me.

Everything else ??? LOL,that's no biggie , i think the touch screen sensitivity problem comes from the fact that many owners of sony xperia l used to have sony xperia sola which has a super sensitive screen and they aren't used to the less sensitive screen of xperia l .
Well, any other issues other than those ???????

Yee, have that too. You have to lower down a exposure otherwise your photo will get nearly white. It's only on 2.17 firmware, on 1.36 it was way better so Sony have to fix it.

I would only say touch sensitivity. Remember, it already has a screen protector so using another film sheet will reduce the sensitivity.

The Xperia L has a plastic protective layer over the screen. This is default and should not be removed. You may blame it partially for touch issues.
I have read that Xperia L has extra protection on its screen due to this company fitted transparent plastic cover.
The default plastic protective layer should not be confused with a phone screen's protector which is usually bought separately and saves scratches on screen.
I was using a normal protector which wasnot made for Xperia L and thus it wasnt perfect. However, yesterday I got a new screen protector which has improved the touch response drastically. I think it is matt finished / super clear material. It improved my multi touch issues even when I pinch in vertical direction

Hello,
I am convinced that something is wrong with the Triumph. I searched for "keyboard" and "response" in the thread titles but got nothing.
Basically, the screen doesn't register my touches consistently. Is this something that is fixable by a software update, or is it faulty hardware? It's almost like I type too fast for the Triumph. But when touching a link, it often doesn't register, either, and it's not localized to any particular area of the screen. Slowing down my typing seems to help, but this is making the phone in my opinion, unusable. I have no reason to believe that I got a faulty unit.
What is the fix for this problem, and sorry if I missed the answers somewhere in the forums.
Have you removed the secondary screen protector?

No, I have not, but I have thought about it. I've heard conflicting reports about whether that helps or not. In the past, I have not noted these screen protectors to be causing the problem. Can anyone speak with authority about whether removing the screen protector solves the response issues? It's a one-way procedure, because there's no way that I'll be able to get that screen protector applied as perfectly as it was at the factory.
Thanks

I can't speak with authority, but I can speak based on personal experience. It made a HUGE difference for me. And no, I haven't had any scratches on the screen nor have I had any problems since I removed it.
I can't say but I have notices that when my available RAM falls below 50 mb that the touch becomes less responsive, that and cold fingers.

The touch screen does lag, regardless of the screen protector. Its most apparent to me when opening the app drawer; it's hard to get the screen to roll. I think it's a combination of literally cold fingers as well as a sort of metaphorical coldness of the device itself; it seems that the lag effect diminishes as the device settles into its groove after prolonged use. I notice the lag when the ROM is 'fresh.'
I am on my 2nd T and they both exhibit the quirk. LPP and the new ADW seem to help her work it out. Perplexing little devices on an intentionally-attenuated redheaded step-network, fer sure, but virtually unbrickable, and oh my black jesus do i ever love me my $25/month, contract-free ultimateness.
I've spent a lot of time trying to resolve this issue in the TG-Reloaded CM7 ROM. Updating & rewriting the bi041p touchscreen driver in the kernel. I'm finally ready to just say it's a hardware problem, maybe a grounding issue. The interrupt sometimes just doesn't trigger reliably.
Well they're are two things you can do it increase the touch screen sensitivity, the first way would be to flash ROM or a kernel that has reworked drivers that are supposed to help touchscreen sensitivity a little. The next thing you could do that I think would greatly improve touchscreen sensitivity would be to take of the factory installed screen protector as it is very thick and low quality.
In a couple of days ill receive my new xperia z3 , i want to ask you lot about pre-flight check for the device.

make sure to check for built failures
there is a thing called light leak (where the display light is slightly brighter on certain areas, you see that mostly if you put completely withe image on your whole screen and set the brightness to ca. 60%)
other problems could be broken water resistance, you can test this with a waterproof test, it's in the general forum (not sure if that test is really accurate though)
there are more things like build errors in the case on the side of example
or yellow tint on photos of you shoot a white wall..
probably there is more, but thats all i discovered so far

Hard to tell if it is resistant, but Sony is known for good quality (even though I wondered about certain built errors on this device)
If Sony did it's job right, it would be water resistant for a few years.
But if you are using if for more than 5 years, I think it's normal it can happen that it breaks.
I didn't create that device so I can hardly tell how resistant the jack is. The device is not so old for now, so people probably didn't experience such thing yet.
One thing you should always make sure is not to dent the jack (possible with pushing the plug to the side whilst it's plugged in), it happened to me on another device, this can demage it fast.
I'd not worry too much for it getting overused, just use your device. Once it's really wearing off already you probably already had 2 other new devices.

yea the device is still new, but ive gone forth and ventured to the z1 forum, and ask them about the water resistance after a period of use, since the z1 have the first open audio jack .
and it turns out fine really, after a year or so , the phone still completely waterproof.
and i was partially wrong about the coating thing, yes they have a coating on the inside of the audio jack, and they also have some kind of membrane to stop water from going in
Hello all,
A friend's Sony Xperia Z3 phone started to present strange screen issues, the screen completely garbled on power up, then the garble starts to scroll down and some parts of the screen are visible. I looked around and found some people with similar problems but didn't find any solution apart from sending the phone to Sony for repair. Some pictures:

Anyone managed to fix this kind of issue by replacing the screen or the screen cable?
Thanks in advance.
Pedro

Just make sure you get good adhesive. Otherwise the front will fall off.
This stuff is supposed to be good https://de.ifixit.com/Store/Tools/Tesa-61395-Tape/IF317-072-1, but I haven't tested it on the Z3, yet.
#1: The sd/sim tray is so poorly designed it'll actually not slot into place properly and I've used this device for only a few minutes. This means the IP rating is basically useless since if anything sips in due to how the tray is designed it'll leak straight to the screen and everything else. I've tried to use minor force to slot in in the place "properly" but the thing is that the flat part that covers the slot wobbles meaning it is not static, which means we have a topkek moment a la Z1-5 flap issue all over again.
#2: The sd card reader is gimped, less than half (getting 1/3) the speeds compared to say the XZ1.
#3: Now let's talk about the elephant in the room shall we? The glass backside, It's not flat! Meaning it can't sit on anything with a slight decline like your bed, pillow, or anything slippery for that matter. You either buy a derpy case or live with the fact that this device can't even sit flat unless otherwise.
#4: Weight was added for no reason, and a lot of people tend to believe that weight equals quality, but in this case it had no reason whatsoever. And what's the best of it all?! Said weight made it thicker, which means they had plenty of space to add that headphone jack that was removed because they had to follow the fruitcake trend. And because it's rounded in the rear, it makes the actual thickness seem thinner than it's predecessor which is around 2-3mm thinner which has guess what? A headphone jack! And don't give me that BS about needed cooling, the S9 is thinner (about the same as the XZ1) and comes in both Exynos and SD flavors.
#5: Let's remind ourselves once again why the headphone jack was removed, not to mention a lot of regions won't even ship with any headphones (nordic region here) which felt kinda cheap, but at least they provided a dongle!
I got a pair of MDR-EX650AP and WH-H900N if anyone is wondering and both come in handy, trust me.
Goto admit I love my XZ2 and I only agree with you on No.2 and No.5...
2... Im using a Samsung 64GB 95mb/s SDCard andthe read speed is rubbish.. this is my second XZ2 and its exactly the same.. so it tells me theres a software issue.. In both the SONY Music app and using the home screen widget, from pressing play.. It takes about 3 secs before music starts playing.. and Im getting lag when accessing phot9os and files on SDCard... theres been 2 updates so far... 145 and 159.. and neither updates have fixed this
5.. Dont even mention the stupidity of removing the Headphone jack from devices ... its been a thorn in everyones side since HTC, the first Android Dev to follow Apple with this "Sheep" like trend on their U Ultra last March 17.. and now its a thing... do you know what really gets me is everybody complains about on forums, yet nobody goes on a Devs Twitter or FB page and says "I was going to buy your phone, but because you removed the 3.5 jack, Ive bought a Samsung instead"... do you know, if everyone started saying that.. we'd have the Jack back by 2019... because regardless of the device you actually buy.. theres nothing worse for a DEV than critisism on their front pages.
Anyway... I think the XZ2 is a gorgeous device, beautifully weighted, stunning.. yes, STUNNING and simple camera, great speakers.. anda great screen, No its not perfect.. buts its pretty good
I'd also add the downgrading of the front camera to 5mp from the 13mp in last year's XZ models. Though I wonder if that could have been a space issue at the edge for the module.
It's the one thing (well and the SD card speed) that is keeping me from upgrading from an XZ1. Though if the price gets low enough...
And #6 - no double tap to wake the phone... I am not sure why this was removed since the Sony X series.. its a real shame....

Camera isn't that bad. But don't use the Auto Mode!
I've made some comparisons (maybe i can show one later at home) and the auto mode is just bad. It makes blurry pictures, especially the darker areas. Switching to manual mode with auto settings raises the quality extremely. Don't know if that's a bug or whatever...

Guys do you have problems with screen scrolling? I can see alot blur on screen when I scrool black tekst on white page. It makes me dizzy. Is it because poor pixel response time on that IPS panel? I had before Lenovo Zuk Z2 IPS and Lenovo Zuk Z2 Pro AMOLED and no problems on them at all. I have this on Oreo and this Android P beta... This LCD seems to be terrible... also too much of white colours, looks like milk splash on glass. Any way to fix it? Colour calibration does not help on these both issues.

Found 2 more flaws -.-
1. The Speakers are not Watercapable.
Took the phone into the shower with me... Sound volume dropped by 70% as soon as the phone got splashed with water.
2. Microphone placement!
They really placed the microphone beside the USB Port... Where do you place your little finger when you hold your phone at the ear? At the Bottom! To prevent this slippery phone from sliding out of your hands. If your placement is bad you will fully cover the microphone and then person on the other end of the call won't hear a thing! Happened multiple times to me before I realized this -.-

1. Water will block sound waves, not a huge amount you can do with a phone.
2. Not an issue for me as I use my left ear and my little finger is the other side of the USB.
My most annoying thing on this phone is the XZ2 is very slippery!! Cannot even sit calmly if there is a slight angle on the surface! Have to buy a case to prevent this though...

You are dumb. Speaker grill has some material that prevent water to drop inside and if water stays on grill, sound can't get through that water. Dry it and sound will increase again. That is common for all phones. This is not a flaw.

Everyone who had physics in school should understand this behaviour.
Btw.
I hate 2 things
1. The DRM **** (it is my first Sony phone)
So I hope for a drm fix which doesn't reduce the camera quality if used with aosp and gcam.
2. The slow, undocumented sdcard performance of 20mb/sec.
The only flaw that stops me from buying anything from the XZ2 line-up is the sad lack of development support, specially custom kernel development.
Sadly enough.
Does anyone experience it difficult to type fast, like some words are omitted when you type fast or their order is interchanged, say for example, the word wakanda, when you try to type fast it becomes something like wkaanda sometimes. Is it because of the tempered glass or me not being accustomed to the device yet? Those without tempered glass, how's your experience?

Yeah, I noticed something was off but then I ignored it thinking I might not be used to the device yet. Do you also sometimes feel that the device scrolls in a direction opposite to input, like when scrolling through xda, when you swipe your finger/thumb up lightly to scroll down, the device sometimes scrolls upwards a little instead and vice versa? Also, have you applied a tempered screen protector?

Yeah, after a few seconds into typing, it starts missing out some letters. I too use gboard.
I recommend to go to settings and send feedback (last option at the bottom) about this. Hopefully, they will fix with the next update.
It is due to the touch problem, especially on edge of the screen. Refer to 'Touch latency' thread.
In my case, I have annoying scroll problem plus edge area of screen is not responsive thus typing Q and P is difficult.
At first I thought it was happening with me only because I moved from a 5.5" screen to a 6.3" screen and maybe my muscle memory is accustomed to type on my previous device from past 2 years so it would take me a week to get used to a new device. But I was wrong. These are touch latency issues happening with many users. I hope this gets fixed by an update.
Go to Settings > Sound & Vibration > Vibrate On Tap > Light
This should solve the latency issue or at least make it a lot better. This problem is occurring due to how the haptic feedback is synchronized with the touchscreen. If vibration is too strong it won't be able to stop and start in real time with each and every key you press thus causing a delay. The stronger the vibration and the faster you type, the longer it will take for it to finish reacting to each key press.

I didn't use vibrate on tap in my previous devices nor do I use it in this one but I still face the issue. The original post written by me was based on my experience of using the device without any sort of vibrations enabled and comparing it to my previous devices which also had vibration disabled.
