Note 2, Rooted, paranoid android 3.9 jellybean 4.3 ROM, changed build.prop to SM-N9005 (Note3 for model).
Found a gear manager apk. Installed, however it doesn't further install when it says "install 0/18". The phone and watch do pair on Bluetooth but a message on phone states, "unsupported device". Then the devices disconnect.
It feels like I am very close, and I'm somewhat of a noob, so looking for more experienced advice.
Also, being a noob apologize if I have any terminology incorrect.
I'm also not sure if I am in the right forum, if not I apologize and we can move it.
Thanks!

Just left a restaurant and looked at my phone. There was a strange message that said touch to pair with hacking device.
Does anyone know what that could be. There was also a # that was shown.
I am on Android Samsung galaxy Nexus. Rooted and using MIUI OS.
Hello every one so Im having a bit of a problem with Dsploit (Version 1.1.3b) and whenever I try to execute an action using any tools under MITM it will show a spinning wheel and it will pretty much take forever and not do anything. I have an S4 by Tmobile and running version 4.2.2
Is there something I am missing? I have installed BusyBox, I dont seem to know what the problem is and google wasnt much help.
Also, upon opening Dsploit it asks me "A metasploitframework update is available, do you want to download it?" shows up but i honestly don't know if its relevant or not so i disregard it and always press No (Im a noob)
One other thing is that i dont have a microsd card but idk if that has anything to do with it.
In conclusion, What Can I Do To Solve This?
I am having issues on the titled ROM. I went on to my "Gear Manager" and it required an update, fair enough ok yes update. Now, whenever I try to access gear manager (after it appeared to successfully update) it just says
"Unable to connect to the Gear. Connecting to the gear is not supported by your mobile device or your software needs to be updated. Check that your mobile device is able to connect to the gear (which i need'nt say IS able to connect or WAS) then update your mobile device software".[/SIZE]
Can any please help, I love my gear so would really like to be able to use it.
Thanks in advance for your replies

All I can say is is that there's something missing from the ROM which is preventing the Gear Manager software from detecting the right information. The same thing happened once on one of the versions of Dynamic Kat. The developer fixed it almost right away, so I would start by asking the dev of the ROM you're using, and see if they are running into the same issue.
Hi folks.
I own a Samsung Gear 1 (SM-V700 running SW V700XXUCOA2 Which I'd like to connect to my S4 Active.
As this mobile runs on Spegelius 5.1.1 ROM from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...nt/rom-cyanogenmod-12-0-builds-i9295-t2947513
the Gear manager keeps on telling me the software had been altered in a non-authorized way. So my watch can't connect to the handset.
I am definetly NOT willing to revert back to stock, as that would render the handset useless due to permanent loss of service and random reboot.
Is there any workaround for this?
Yes, I've been browsing the forum, but no joy.
The Gear manager for non-samsung devices also refuses to start, throwing the same message as mentioned above.
Any help appreciated
Samsung is too proprietary like Apple. I think I am done with Samsung since they hosed my phone with a Knox update I was not expecting.
Hello, I'm new to this forum but can someone explain to me if it is possible to install Samsung Edge Screen app in Stock ROM (no root)?
I tried installing different versions from APKMirror but they didn't install, it says there's already a package installed with the same name.
Edit: I was able to install this version. The option showed up in Settings > Display > Edge Screen but it crashes everytime I tap on it, do I need root for this to work?
Ive been trying as well to figure the exact same thing out! As far as I know, that package conflict might be a disabled version of the actual edge screen, but not enough evidence has been gathered to make it a concrete fact yet. Also, what model of J7?
