Ok so I have two phones. An HTC One completely stock (work phone) and a GS3 with Liquidsmooth I'm having issues with MMS quality. When I receive pictures they are horrible looking.
Examples (sorry it's the best picture with text to really highlight the issues I'm having)
This is the picture I had taken on the gs and sent

This is the one my HTC received then sent

This is the one my GS got

it looks horrible.
Took the original image and sent it to myself on the GS and got the exact same thing blurry and terrible. I don't understand why stock roms have no issue with this but every aosp rom does. I've scoured the internet in search for some sort of reason or fix and I find nothing. I've spent hours trying to fix this if I could fix this it would make me soooooo freaking happy because I hate asking people to email me pics instead because the quality is just so bad.

In the 2.2.1 version of Android on the Inspire, has anyone noticed if it includes Google's fix for the SMS bug which sends your text to a random person in your address book?
I know that it is fixed in the latest 2.3 for the Nexus S, but was curious if it was fixed in FroYo.
That bug can be very embarassing. I'm so pararnoid about what I text on the Inspire compared to when I used my iPhone 4. I don't want to be sending some dirty pictures around to my friends or commenting on some chick's butt I just saw and having the phone send the text to my wife instead. hehe

In this instance with the wife you just have to look at it from a if its meant to be stand point Luckily my wife could care less about phones and pic messages so she doesnt even get that stuff which if there is a bug saves me some explaining later on.
I wanted to say this Rom is just about perfect, the battery life is extremely efficient, a good 30% to 40% better than stock. And the modifications performed are exactly what I was looking for, not to crazy and not stock!
I have one problem and I dont know if this is Rom specific or Tmobile specific. I recently switched from ATT to Tmobile and rooted my Sensation within a week of owning it. When someone sends me a picture mail it gets reduced by almost 90%. a 180 KB pic sent from another phone gets reduced to 16.8 KB.
Just to test this theory I also sent myself a pic and produced similar results
Does this happen to all users with sensations on tmobile or is there something I am missing?
Thanks
Dan
Devs are working on this issue I do believe their is a MMS patch floating around here
MMS Sizing Problem
Does everyone with a Sensation onnTmobile have MMS sizing problems? The pics come through as a thumbnail. Its actually the size of a quarter on the screen and you cant blow the pic up to full screen thats the irritating part?
Anyone else have this problem? Rooted or not?

I am looking for a working solution to tiny thumbnail size picture messages MMS on the HTC Inspire or any HTC Android on T-mobile. Has anyone found a working solution to this? Any MMS sent to my phone is extremely small and picture messages has been sent from varying phones including my own. I sent a test pic from my phone to my phone and received a small thumbnail.
I have seen others with this similar problem on T-mobile Androids but have yet to see a confirmed solution. I have seen solutions for non android phones that utilize cab files. Apparently this is fairly common under unlocked non T-mobile phones.
Thanks a million to anyone that has found a fix!!

This has been covered many times, please use the threads that already are in the forums.

So about a month month a ago me and my gf were long time blackberry users and me coming across a deal of a life time on a epic 4g touch ($210 off CL, must of been fate) but since then I finally understood why android is so great. At first I almost sold the phone because I was so used to my blackberry I went threw withdrawal at first. Anyway after a week I changed for life and now my gf is going to change as last night I got her a nexus s 4g and instantly rooted and put ics on it. She said she will never touch a blackberry again, end of story.
Anyway far from a newb on tech but already I see there are minor differences in flashing roms and rooting etc. Right now I'm on oICSv40 with the glades kernal and it's pretty great (minor lag and force closes but overall great).
Any tips or for me would be greatly appreciated. Also can I use calk format all zip before flashing roms and what should I backup (aside from apps and system data)
Going thru a lot of the past threads to try to get up to speed. Also thanks to all the devs you guys rock.
ps. is there a way to fix the yellow tint issue screen has a warm tint to it kinda really bugs me.
Here is a thread where you can fix screen color. My screen looked much better after using this.

I've been watching the forums for this phone for a while now and it seems that this phone has alot of problems.
I'm not bothered about the chipping as IMO the phone still looks good when it's there, however I've seen signal, charging, home button and notification problems. I know there are more but is there more than average and how many problems does the average One S have?

Well its hard to give an averaage really, guess most people have their "favorite" issue
Mine is chipped to hell and back (black version bought in april), but I'm used to my phones acquiring a Mad Max style patina. Other than that the notification light is stupidly faint and badly placed. Couldnt be happier with the phone though!
This is the place to go with problems, so you're getting a distorted view of this phone. The US version I have is in pristine shape, runs Jellybean great and is the best looking and feeling phone I have ever had. Would consider an SGS3, but that's about the only other comparable option.
i just got my phone and was worried about the same thing. i actually had a problem with the hardware button lights but was fixed by switching from stock to custom rom.
personally i love this phone. coming from sensation i had expectations and they were met.

I have the T-Mobile version with S4. I had weak signal and the notification problem with the T-Mobile software. After changing CID and installing the latest ruu (European_2.21), both problems are gone. For now I´m really happy with my One S.
