MMS Sizing problem - HTC Sensation

I wanted to say this Rom is just about perfect, the battery life is extremely efficient, a good 30% to 40% better than stock. And the modifications performed are exactly what I was looking for, not to crazy and not stock!
I have one problem and I dont know if this is Rom specific or Tmobile specific. I recently switched from ATT to Tmobile and rooted my Sensation within a week of owning it. When someone sends me a picture mail it gets reduced by almost 90%. a 180 KB pic sent from another phone gets reduced to 16.8 KB.
Just to test this theory I also sent myself a pic and produced similar results
Does this happen to all users with sensations on tmobile or is there something I am missing?
Thanks
Dan

Devs are working on this issue I do believe their is a MMS patch floating around here

MMS Sizing Problem
Does everyone with a Sensation onnTmobile have MMS sizing problems? The pics come through as a thumbnail. Its actually the size of a quarter on the screen and you cant blow the pic up to full screen thats the irritating part?
Anyone else have this problem? Rooted or not?

Widget display issues...

I'm having problems with some of the widgets displaying on my home screens.
Some, but not all of them, have what I would describe as a static appearance covering part of the icon, usually in a bar across the width of the icon.
The issue affects different widgets at different times but would appear to only be ones added by the apps I've downloaded rather than the "stock" ones.
I'm hoping I'm not alone in this and that better still, someone knows how to sort it?

I had that too. On one widget. I simply rebooted my device, and it went away. Not come back since. Not totally sure what it is to be honest.

Yeah, I had the same. A reboot fixed it and not happened again.
Cheers guys will give that a go....
On another note, how are you finding the Sensation? I came from a rooted Desire so the leap doesn't seem quite as big as maybe I'd hoped, not too impressed with the "locally stored" navigation maps not being free as it was always publicised...
Apart from that I'm well impressed, as are my colleagues more importantly! ;-)

I am very impressed by the device. Looks amazing. I love the new screen, much better than the WVGA on the Desire HD. qHD is lovely. Missing the root though. Really hope there are some breakthroughs when more devs have the device.
Have same problem too. noticed it on the stock android power widget and also the facebook widget. I can only describe it like "bad tv reception". hoping it will clear up after a reboot. haven't noticed it with any of the htc widgets.
Just picked up Sensation today. So far loving it. this has been the only problem I've encountered so far.
From what I have read so far this issue is known and is believed to be a software issue. I have experienced this on a few non htc widgets. I tend to agree with the notion that it's because not all apps can keep up with the new qHD screen.
Agreed: Only 'major' issue for me as well

I've had my phone for a few days (luck to find a Walmart that sold it to me). I received "static lines" on my power widget. I rebooted this once, and all is well. It only affected that one widget. Reminds me of a video card going out on a computer (again just on the widget).
Oh, I also noticed that the voice recorder widget (from htc Hub) wouldn't turn on when I pressed the widget.
I'm having this static lines issue also. Do the guys from HTC know that? Hope it is gonna be fixed in the new firmware.
I'm having a serious issue with the widgets, worse than what I've seen described here. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. It can affect almost all widgets at one time or perhaps just a few. Rebooting sometimes but by no means always helps, as does switching skins.
I expect it is indeed a software issue. I'm hoping an update with smooth things out a bit, but I sure as heck haven't heard of any updates any time soon for T-Mobile, S-OFF or otherwise.
I had this issue too. Where random widgets would show some static graphic corruption. But yesterday I got the OTA update and after that all these issues seems gone. So definitely a software issue.
I have now started to get this, I have found killing HTC sense removes this for a while but it then comes back....
Never had until now..and had for month or so now...
Could anyone with this issue please have a look at this thread and confirm that these are same problems?

Same problem - horizontal "rainbow" lines through widgets.
Can anyone else who got the OTA update confirm that it fixes this issue?

I had the same problem.the power widget, youtube widget and PowerAamp widget all have those horizontal rainbow lines.i just deleted them from the screen then added them back...that cleared the problem for me.
I actually noticed something very similar to this, but it was in Wordfeud. Across the bottom, where all your letters are, I had the same thing happening. I did a reset and it hasn't come back... as of now, anyways.

Ive always seen some black lines in the letters in wordfued... figured it was a compatability issue. The always go away as soon as I touch the screen..
Same problem here, it happens with 3rd party apps and also with with stock apps like google search bar or tips widget(it's random)
I hope that it will be fixed soon.
Had this twice, first time after Hub downloads second time just happened but the phone had like 80 RAM left. First time did a reset and never again touched the damn buggy Hub (didn't let me login again anyway). Second time a battery pull fixed it. Awful stuff.

EDIT 2: Okay! I got it. Here are the other apps I installed this morning that gave me the problems again but are not gone after I uninstalled them: Linpack and Quadrant. Please give feedback as to which apps I've uninstalled that you currently have on your phone.
EDIT: Never mind. It came back again. I'm still trying to find the culprit. I'll update you guys if I find anything.
I think I may know why we have this problem. I noticed this happen to me when I first started installing apps on my phone which I bought just 3 days ago. At first, I rebooted to get rid of it, but then it would come back as soon as I touched the screen, not even on an icon or widget. So I thought of the last app I installed and uninstall it. After rebooting, the problem was gone. I did a few tests and it seems to only happen with apps that require root access.
Can you guys confirm this for me?
So far my theory is working. I've tested with apps like ROM Manager, SetCPU, Root Explorer, etc. Right after I install, the problem appears. After uninstalling, I reboot and the problem is gone.

[Q] Tiny MMS on T-mobille HTC Inspire Android. Does anyone have a fix? Thanks!!!

I am looking for a working solution to tiny thumbnail size picture messages MMS on the HTC Inspire or any HTC Android on T-mobile. Has anyone found a working solution to this? Any MMS sent to my phone is extremely small and picture messages has been sent from varying phones including my own. I sent a test pic from my phone to my phone and received a small thumbnail.
I have seen others with this similar problem on T-mobile Androids but have yet to see a confirmed solution. I have seen solutions for non android phones that utilize cab files. Apparently this is fairly common under unlocked non T-mobile phones.
Thanks a million to anyone that has found a fix!!

Lag while receiving text messages [Q]

So I realized recently that while getting text messages (verizon model) I start to get a horrible lag mid text and i have to wait a few moments before the text is actually received before I can start texting again. Is there any way to prevent this from happening? The entire messaging app also just seems to lag a little more then usual now. could this also be due to how many text messages I have on my phone? any input on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

See if it's poor optimization on the app. (try go sms or handcent) to see if it's the device or app. If it's the app, we made need to change a few lines of code. If it's the device, you could see if it's universal or just you received a bad unit. If anyone else on Verizon can comment, it'd help the OP greatly.
I'm on T-Mobile and I noticed it also, but one was MMS and then a SMS, I think its just poor coding and touchwiz. Are you still using the stock keyboard? I remembered that was the culprit for me.

Can you suggest a good messaging app i could try in the time being? I have to admit though I really did like the feel of the stock messaging app aside from that problem =/

Ok so i just noticed something just now. It seems like my phone craps out the most when the battery is really low compared to when its fully charged. Can this be a reason as to why my messaging was messing up?
do you have power save mode on?

Ya I do actually. Is that whats causing it? To be honest ever since I got the phone I never really bothered to turn that thing off because I was getting insane battery life. If i turn that off will my phone start running faster?
I've noticed a difference and many reports have been stated to make it a lot faster.

Ok I just turned it off *well at least just the limiting cpu usage part* and it is so much snappier! no lag what so ever now. Question though how much would this effect battery life? Would there be a noticeable difference?
the power saver mode on the siii's is so bad, makes the phone act like its on android 1.6 or something. Terrible lag everywhere.
I doubt it will greately impact the battery life, phone has good battery life as is, would rather take hit on battery life than the terrible power saving lag.

Mms sos help

Ok so I have two phones. An HTC One completely stock (work phone) and a GS3 with Liquidsmooth I'm having issues with MMS quality. When I receive pictures they are horrible looking.
Examples (sorry it's the best picture with text to really highlight the issues I'm having)
This is the picture I had taken on the gs and sent
https://www.dropbox.com/s/yxlp3usrgw...711_141451.jpg
This is the one my HTC received then sent
https://www.dropbox.com/s/gdpf81fbr3...1_141451_2.jpg
This is the one my GS got
https://www.dropbox.com/s/06le821g0b...1195141451.jpg
it looks horrible.
Took the original image and sent it to myself on the GS and got the exact same thing blurry and terrible. I don't understand why stock roms have no issue with this but every aosp rom does. I've scoured the internet in search for some sort of reason or fix and I find nothing. I've spent hours trying to fix this if I could fix this it would make me soooooo freaking happy because I hate asking people to email me pics instead because the quality is just so bad.
