Another intriguing Kickstarter campaign primed for Android users. I don't know what others will think of this camera kit, but after trying a half dozen solutions over the past couple years, this one really has my attention. It might end up being a bit bulky, but I have pretty good sized hands and if it will truly allow you to use SLR and DSLR lenses with your phone camera, it could be a heck of an option.
Based on the video, the prototypes and conversations with the maker, I am pretty excited by this. I thought I'd post it up in case anyone else out there has been searching for a better way to use the next generation of smartphone cameras.
Check it out here: Beastgrip
I am in no way related to this project other than having just backed it. I just see this as a product with very good potential and thought I'd share.

Damn, when did all this happen? Jesus Christ guys. Not trying to be an XDA fanboy or anything, but every place has its fair share of "winners". Bottom line, this forum draws a LOT of traffic and is a good place to put your work out to have TONS of competent members beta test it. Had it not been for XDA, I never would have heard of BAMF, other than as a reference to the movie Pulp Fiction. Learn to let stupid stuff roll off your shoulders and if one person doesn't like it, it's not like they're taking any skin off your teeth. I'm not in any way, shape, or form trying to take sides with anyone or put anyone down...I'm just sayin!

Yea, there's a discussion about it here:

It is what it is. They have their own their reasons. The community is not what it used to be here.

Anyone seen GridOS? Looks pretty sick. What are the chances of getting it ported to the Inspire? How would you guys feel about putting up a bounty to get it done once a dump can be found?

Looks very interesting. I'd probably give it a shot if there was ever a GridOS ROM for the inspire. I couldn't find anything about it's source though. If it's closed source that might make things harder.
Looks pretty sick, check out this video: http://www.engadget.com/2011/08/16/hands-on-with-fusion-garages-grid-10-tablet-and-grid-4-smartpho/
So this is kind of like EdenOS from Notion Ink. Read up on Fusion Garage. Seems sheisty. But hey software is software. It uses an android kernel so drivers wouldn't be an issue. Should be easy for a dev. Not that I am saying it is.

I would donate 10 bucks to see this rom ported smoothly and functioning correctly to my inspire.
Every now and then, I happen across an app that although isn't very useful, has such a cool party trick it must be downloaded. I discovered TouchRetouch, a pretty good photo editing app. There are plenty out there (I've been a fan of PicSay Pro for a long time) but this one has a nice trick.
Ever taken a picture and had some unwanted person/item/eye-sore spoil it? Well this app has a very good interpolation trick to quickly remove it! Check these out which I have done (very quickly too)...

Thought I'd really test it....
Get to the Choppaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!
Considering what the app had to cope with in the last photo, I think its done very well!
This is the free version. The paid version has the usual extra resolution stuff and extras.

looking good!
OK so i am wanting to make a new project but im not sure if what i have on the table right now is something worth going for. Its going to be a massive multi-tool that supports multiple phones including android, apple and possibly windows. It will be able to root your device if a way has been found for it. It will also have Semi-GUI layouts for programs such as ADB, NVFlash and so on. This will be a massive project, massive size and massive amounts of updates... almost daily as things change almost daily. But if it can be done i am thinking it would be the best tool out there and the most hated by some... hopefully not to much though. Here is a pic of something i threw together in a hour or so and has a project from december on the tf101. Please let me know what everyone thinks even if its bad or good. If you can code Visual Basic and want in let me know. I could use a hand lol.
