Lol I'm on nexusmod gb and I've never had battery this good. I've been using wifi all day and I have 47% remaining after 12 hours of use.
Edit: display was on for 2 hours and 10 minutes total.

Remember it depends alot on kernel CPU clocks and most of all screen on time

Im running silvermods 4/20 build qith modem flash, No oc/uv, and default kernel with rom and my screwn on time was 4 hours and 38 minutes.

Yeah that's pretty decent bro

Dang, that's really nice for so much screen time.
So you had airplane mode on 100% of the time? (That's what it looks like to me, sorry if I'm wrong, I'm slightly color blind with blues and greens).
How is it if you keep cell service on?

Might be a good idea to set your wifi sleep policy to never. Would help squeeze just a liiiittle more out. Settings>wifi>option haptic>advanced>stay on while in sleep>never.
Still fairly impressive with that much screen time though.

Just a word of advice, lithium ion battery have a dry cell problem when they are repeatedly drained past 15%.
This means that your overall battery capacity is reduced when you keep draining it like this. The usage is fine though I'd say.

Hey everybody...
I just got a new note & everything is excellent except that I've been noticing some weird flickering in the screen... Its not even flickering, its more like it goes dark for milliseconds & its not that frequent. Should i be conserned or its a software issue... does anyone have such an issue?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Have you got auto brightness enabled? If so try manually setting the brightness, also check your screen timeout in setting /display set it to a 1min not 15secs
Sent from my GT-N8010 using xda premium
Auto brightness is off. The same issue is happenning with my galaxy s3.

Go into Developer Options in Settings and set animations to .5x.
Sent from my GT-N8013 using Tapatalk 2
Tried that. Did not resolve the issue... do you experience such issue with your device?
Sent from my GT-N8013 using XDA Premium HD app
Take it back. It may be a defect.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
I dont think it is. Because on the home screen & some apps like youtube the issue is nonexistent, Strange
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
I have not seen this issue yet. Had mine since launch.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
After some testing I found out that the screen issue is related to some apps only such as chrome & xda's app. Most other apps work just fine such as s note, photoshop, youtube, all games & the home screen shows no flickeri g whatsoever.

I have seen this, I was worried but it is very difficult to return my unit as it is a grey import.
I totally didn't notice that it went away after changing screen timeout to 1 minute. Battery life is good enough to easily cope with this.
Setting back to 15 seconds to see if it re-occurs.
fyi, I leave brightness auto.
swyped from my Galaxy Note 10.1 with Tapatalk
I can confirm that the problem is solved. The whole issue is that some apps are conflicting with the hover function for the s pen. Once you disable that function in settings all becomes completly normal without any issues.

Same problem

I have the similar issue on my Note 10.1 - the browser is the biggest 'flasher' and it seems random. I called Samsung support - They had me reset to factory and the issue went away, but eventually came back. I don't want to have to keep resetting to factory as that is painful for me to reconfig everything and I tend to believe that if I restore to ClockWorkMod backup, the issue will still be there.
Hi.
l had the same problem earlier. Simply deactivate the hovering S - Pen icon, and voila!

Hey so I know I'll get crap for another battery post but I just wanted to post this because I'm amazed whenever someone on Any rom gets a full day or more of battery. It's ridiculous how much mobile data drains on ANY rom for me. I'm running aokp 9/9 right now but I've been through cm9, cm10, vincoms rom, sky ics, paranoid. No differences really it's just data that drains. Here is today's battery, and this is normal when it's mobile data the whole way through. Mostly H, H+, and 4g. As you can see, u have pretty good reception, and screen on for only 2 HOURS. that's why it amazes me when people get 5-7 hrs screen and like a day+ of battery.

Also if anyone got the new aokp rom before R4ins got pissed, I'd love to get a link. Thanks!

2 hours screen time sounds about right for me til the battery runs down. But I tend to only use that much in a whole day, so it lasts me to the next day... even on LTE. I'm using SkyICS.
You sure you don't have any funky wakelocks or anything? Your phone was awake for pretty much the whole time It should be sleeping most of the times that you're not using it.
there are days where i can get 16 hours with an hour or 2 of screen time, but i also have the Gnex extended batter (2100 mah) so that helps. But ive come to realize that on most days, i will never ever see the stellar results that some people get, becasue i use my phone... a lot... im talking twitter constantly, hundreds of texts every day, and the occasional phone call. But it is fine for me, ive never had my phone die on me while im out, and im almost always near a charger so it is never a problem. If i feel like i might be away from a charger for a while, i turn off sync, turn brightness down, etc to prolong my battery life and im good to go.
Download better battery stats and find out what is keeping your phone awake,it looks like its staying awake for long periods of time

How...when I have data on and using it,it drains a percent every 2 minutes. Can anyone tell me what to loom for on better battery stats and where?

Hwres an update. On this is with data off almost all day you can see the screen off and awake matches up pretty nicely.(at the end I'm listening to music so that's why its awake) is it possibly just straight up the data connection that keeps my phone awake?

There's an entire thread on it here maintained by TJ above. And several tutorials in other forums on xda. It's really not that hard. Just do some research.

What I don't get is why WiFi causes a wake lock.

That image doesn't show wifi causing a wakelock? Unless you actually didn't have wifi turned on for the past 4 hours. I see it's not turned on in that image, but maybe you just turned if off. Which I'm betting you did about 2 minutes before taking that picture, and then turned data back on?

There are plenty other battery life threads this post could have been made in. Locked
Hey everyone, just had a quick question. A lot of times when I turn my screen on bbs says it's running at the bottom of my lock screen. Doesn't happen every time though.

What exactly is the question?
I underdig. If you're using supersu go to settings and uncheck 'show notifications.' I think you can set individual program toast notifications but whatev.. You figure it out. Lol
my tapatalk signature sucks more than yours.
Yeah I was talking about the notifications. Thanks bro

Howdy,
I have a s2 running 4.2.2 slimmed down CM. I have a wake clock app running and it doesn't pick up anything odd. The CPU clock says it never slept though.
Thus is a new phone to me. Thanks for your input.

Use betterybatterystats to find out what the wake lock is.
Then read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31974989

May seem silly, but did you have it plugged in while receiving the wake lock?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
Nope, its been unplugged all day since 6 eastern time. Now its down to 19% with little use. It has never entered deep sleep today

Then you definitely have some WakeLock issues. I'd follow JD's advice and run Better Battery Stats and refer to the WakeLock thread by Bender for how to resolve them.
Make sure your Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are off if you're not using them.

It should sleep like a baby if you're set up right, even with wifi and bt on.
The problem was that the charging wake clock kept it awake the whole day. I'm not sure what the deal was but I restarted the phone and it went away. I'm also having charging issues so it could be hardware. I ordered a new charging port/daughter board for it and I'm going to put it in this week. I'll let you know how it turns out

Curious to see how it turns out. I get the vbus wake lock often too, even with the Samsung charger. I'm thinking my usb port is having issues.
Restart your phone after every charge. Yes, the media scanner will run briefly but it's better than your phone not sleeping for hours before you notice the wake lock.

Well I installed the other charging port daughter board and the mic stopped working. So I never got to test to see if the charging wake clock was a hardware problem. Sorry. On a side note I have a charging port daughter board for a i727 that is basically brand new and only installed once for sale
