Hello.
I think, this app is useful for app2sd user. [It's based on Open Manger. just modified the apps for rooting user]
Move a App to SD. and make a symbolic link only "APK files".
1. requirement.
A. Rooted device.
B. App2SD
C. Busybox
2. Usage.
A. After rooting , install a app2sd.. [do not move a apps to SD. just install]
B. select a app , which is big size, sometime using, but do not want remove.
C. move a only APK to SD card. and make a symbolic link by this apps.

the file status is "lrwx" then, "l" menas "symbolic link" , "r" => "read able". "w" => "write able", "x" => "execute able"
is it just me...
but if i download it, and try to run the apk, it tells me "cant open file" o.o
Works for me on HTC magic 32b running froyo, many thanks.
I don't know why, but I can open all folders I want except /mnt/sdcard. I get a FC when trying. On filemanagers I can open /mnt/sdcard with success.
Using a HTC Desire, rooted and S-off.
Installed and works for me, but it shows my /data/app/ folder as empty.
I have apps2sdext so it should follow the link...
As a workaround I can browse to /sd-ext/app just fine.
Only for Froyo devices right? I'm running 2.1, has anyone figured out how to move apps 2 sd on 2.1? (stock kernal)
Can I change boot screen also from the root?
does not work with my mytouch 4g... had to busy the market version instead
Sorry to dig up an old thread but I'm having a problem moving apps to my SD card. I go into rooted explorer and copy the .apk, I move into the /system folder but there is no SD folder. Everything else looks the same as the screen shot except I'm missing the SD folder. Any ideas?

Write a tutorial.
Firstly I wanted to thank Mistar Muffin for his data2sd mod and also buhohitr and Hohumhurrdurr for their assistance in getting data2sd working on my tf700. And also thanks to slig for his Directory Bind app. I use this on my 16gb sd and works great.
This is for those who has done the data2sd mod and would like to still use the game data from your 32gb internal without having to redownload game data to the new ext4 partition which in turn will save your ext4 space. Useful if you only have 16gb ext4 partition or smaller as you already know game data could take up a lot of space already. So if you've already downloaded the data to your internal storage prior to data2sd mod, why not use it. YMMV but I haven't notice any decrease in game play or lag. I assume cause it's only reading the internal sd and not writing to it.
1. Download Directory Bind and install it. Open it and allow root access.
2. Hit the menu button and (+) add new entry.
3. Source (data) should be sdcardi which is the asus 32gb internal. So press and hold on any of the field in the box and it will open up a directory selection window. Select the appropriate location of the game data (see example image).
4. Mount (target) should be sdcard which is the new storage. Press and hold on any of the field in the box and it will open up a directory selection here also. Select the location in the new storage. (see example image).
5. Click on Add
6. It will take you back to main Directory bind page and you should now see your new entry. Now hit menu again and do a Bind Check. If successful the icon will go from grey to green. Other colors, you did something wrong.
7. If successful back up your entries just in case. (menu > more> Backup database)
Thats it. Now run the app and if it tells you need to download data, just hit Yes and it should just open up without download. Some games itll just opened up right away like Nova 3.

If you havent downloaded any data to internal SD you can create a new directory in the internal sd (sdcardi)and bind it to the ext4 directory. When you download the game data it will download it to your internal since they are binded.
Or if you've already downloaded the data to ext4 directory then create a new directory in the internal sd (sdcardi) and when you create the entry in directory bind, just check the transfer files box and then Add the entry. This will transfer the game data from ext4 to internal sd.
