[How to]Utilize internal 32gb storage instead of ext4 for game data post data2sd mod - Asus Transformer TF700

Firstly I wanted to thank Mistar Muffin for his data2sd mod and also buhohitr and Hohumhurrdurr for their assistance in getting data2sd working on my tf700. And also thanks to slig for his Directory Bind app. I use this on my 16gb sd and works great.
This is for those who has done the data2sd mod and would like to still use the game data from your 32gb internal without having to redownload game data to the new ext4 partition which in turn will save your ext4 space. Useful if you only have 16gb ext4 partition or smaller as you already know game data could take up a lot of space already. So if you've already downloaded the data to your internal storage prior to data2sd mod, why not use it. YMMV but I haven't notice any decrease in game play or lag. I assume cause it's only reading the internal sd and not writing to it.
1. Download Directory Bind and install it. Open it and allow root access.
2. Hit the menu button and (+) add new entry.
3. Source (data) should be sdcardi which is the asus 32gb internal. So press and hold on any of the field in the box and it will open up a directory selection window. Select the appropriate location of the game data (see example image).
4. Mount (target) should be sdcard which is the new storage. Press and hold on any of the field in the box and it will open up a directory selection here also. Select the location in the new storage. (see example image).
5. Click on Add
6. It will take you back to main Directory bind page and you should now see your new entry. Now hit menu again and do a Bind Check. If successful the icon will go from grey to green. Other colors, you did something wrong.
7. If successful back up your entries just in case. (menu > more> Backup database)
Thats it. Now run the app and if it tells you need to download data, just hit Yes and it should just open up without download. Some games itll just opened up right away like Nova 3.

If you havent downloaded any data to internal SD you can create a new directory in the internal sd (sdcardi)and bind it to the ext4 directory. When you download the game data it will download it to your internal since they are binded.
Or if you've already downloaded the data to ext4 directory then create a new directory in the internal sd (sdcardi) and when you create the entry in directory bind, just check the transfer files box and then Add the entry. This will transfer the game data from ext4 to internal sd.

2. I think money will solve your lag problem, better and easier than any performance tweaks.

So hopefully this will work for you.
1) I downloaded and installed Shadowgun. I DID NOT download game data yet.
2) I set up the directories. At this point both directories are empty.

3)Then check the directory box
4) Select the option to Bind Checked and the box should turn green
5) Launch Shadowgun and download the game data
6) When it is done, if it worked the game data should be on your microSD card
7) You can also verify that your app data has increased, but your Available space has not decreased
8) It is VERY important to backup your database. There is a bug in the bind app that won't keep the folder binds after a reboot. Once you back it up simply restore the database to restore your binds

[guide]Link2sd- virtual internal memory[pictorial guide]

[Guide with pics 4 noobs]
Hello heros (and a 3or4 heroines I've seen around here )
This is a tutorial on how to partition your SD card and start linking apps to SD card (I have included screen shots fore each step to avoid confusion and also to make it easier for beginners )
INTRODUCTION
Wat is linking to SD??
------> as the name says linking apps to SD is moving applications and their belonging resources to a special partition in SD card and creating a link to them for easy access.
Y link to SD???
------> I will tell it in short...
Apps perform better when they are on internal memory rather than on SD card because there is an easier access to their resources.. but not all phones have enough internal memory to move all apps to internal memory ... so keeping apps on SD and creating a link to them ensures better and faster performance of all apps even in devices with low internal memory ..eg galaxy y,galaxy mini,galaxy ace,HTC wildfire,galaxy fit, galaxy Geo etc etc
Software's needed
1.mini partition tool (for PC ie windows)
2.link2sd (for mobile ie android)
PROCEDURE
pleez following the procedure carefully and exactly to avoid any inconvenience
1. First you have to download Mini Tool Partition Wizard Manager. You can download it in the link above... download it and install it on PC.
2. Insert your SD card to a card reader and open it on your computer.(not via USB cable)
3. Back up all your files to the computer because partitioning will wipe your data.
4. Open Mini Tool in your computer. Locate your SD card (be careful in choosing and make sure not to choose the drive of your computer)
5. Right click and choose Delete.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
6. Right click on it again and choose Create New. Create “FAT32″ partition (This is where all your media files will go. Be sure to make it bigger than the 2nd part)
7. Select “Create as: PRIMARY”
8. Next, create an ext2/ext3/ext4 partition (I suggest ext2 cause it works on all roms and kernels). This is where your apps will go. I suggest a value of 512Mb would be big enough but its ur choice...
9. Select “Create As: PRIMARY” (make sure that it is both set to primary because it will not work if it is not set to primary)
10. Click the “Apply” button on the top left corner and wait for it to finish the process. Done.
11. Put back your SD card to your phone and switch it on.
12. Download and install Link2sd from Google Play Store link given above.
13. Open Link2sd. You will be prompted to choose between ext2, ext3, ext4 and FAT32. Select ext2.
14. It will say mount script created. Reboot your phone now.
15. Open link2sd and if the message doesn’t show up, you succeded.
16. Go to Link2sd>Settings>check the autolink (to automatically move apps upon installation)
17. If you already have some apps, select “move to phone” then after moving select “Create Link” (be sure to check the three files: app, dalvic-cache and library files)
18. To check your memory, select “Storage Info”. This will show you the current state of your internal memory, FAT32, and ext2 partition.
19. Now you’re done and ready to install vast amount of applications as you wish!
1 request guys ... u see above this at least 4-5 hours out if my life that I spent to make this thread ... so I don't ask u not to share it... but pleez don't just copy paste this in different threads or in ur freaking blogs... if u want to share pleez share a link to this thread ... thank u .
And don't forget to hit thanks (only if this helped of course )
Have a good day...

[TUTORIAL][LINK2SD][ROOT][KK,L,M] For All Devices with Root by HassanMirza01

DESCRIPTION:
Hey Guyz welcome to Link2sd tutorial... After receiving many request for this type of thread, am writing it with screenshots step by step guide with all links
We all know that Link2sd is an app which can extend the apps storage of android smartphone by using 2nd ext4 partition of android's SD Card.
Who can use it ??
Anyone who has root can use this awesome app... support dev for it too
We just need Rooted device and it should be atleast running Android version 2.3-6.0.1
Lets move on it...
PREREQUISITES:
1.) First of all, its assumed that the device is rooted perfectly.
2.) There is SD card available(of good class).
3.) A Laptop or PC
4.) Internet for downloading software
5.) And most importantly, A Brain
PROCEDURE:
Now the Procedure for all devices except Android 6 Marshmallow is same.
So we will move with categorizing android versions as 2.3-5.1.1 and 6.0
COMMON METHOD FOR ALL ANDROID VERSIONS:
First of all, download this software named MiniTool Partition Wizard Professional
and attach the Memory card to Laptop/PC using CARD READER i repeat CARD READER not using phone or any other way.
When you have done that, open installed MiniTool Partition Wizard Professional software,
It will show you the detailed info o all partitions attached with your Laptop/PC.
At the last, there will be your memory card attached and it will be with FAT32 style. like in this pic
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Now Right click on this Memory card partition and click delete... like this
now right click on this card and select Create
and then select Create as "Primary"
File system should be "Ext4" and select the memory of memory card you want to donate to Link2sd for linking apps.
i selected 2.0GB for it like this
Now click ok and you will see you partition on minitools partitions tool. like this
Now right click the unallocated space and click create.
Now create as "Primary"
File system should be "FAT32" now.
Click ok and its done. like this now
Now click Apply present at top Left corner and it will do all tasks we did.
Times to remove sd card from Laptop and Insert in Smartphone now.
Switch on and download Link2sd from Play store... Here is the Play link for Link2sd
Open it and it will Promped Supersu permission, grant it and then it will ask you for the 2nd partition of your SD Card,
click ext4 and then click ok... it will create script and ask for reboot. Now you will be able to link apps to sd card's 2nd Partition.
If you gets the error that unable to create mount script, failed etc see Marshmallow method for its solution
METHOD FOR ANDROID 6 MARSHMALLOW:
On Marshmallow, after doing same above method, in last, while creating script, you will get error that mount script not created blah blah blah!!
Ignore it, no problem, Don't uninstall Link2sd,
Install another app named App2sd:All in one tool from here Play Link for App2sd
Now open this app and give root permissions,
now click the Link apps to SD Card.
It will ask for partitions style, select ext4 and dont tick init.d support, and done it, it will successfully create the script...
Now you wish if you want to use app2sd for linking or Link2sd.
Open link2sd and see storage, it will show u 2nd partition too cause app2sd write script for link2sd too too nice app
Now you are able to Link apps on any device
Hit Thanks and Support me if you Like and get help from this thread...Thank you...

I can't transfer files to my external SD card.

Hello,
I have a Nokia 3.1 phone running Android 8.0 Oreo. I am not able to move files from my internal storage to my SD card. Whenever I try to do this I get an error message that says: You must perform the certain steps to grant Samsung SD card card access rights. I click OK and do the steps but nothing happens.
I am trying to move video files to my SD card. I selected the file that I wanted to move, and then selected the “Move To” option. I then selected: Move to MicroSD, and I selected the Documents folder. And the following screen came up to move the file to:
> root > storage > 8881-1600 , and I clicked OK.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then a screen popped up that said: You must perform the certain steps to grant Samsung SD card access rights. And I clicked OK.
Then another screen popped that said the same thing, and I clicked >.
Then another screen popped up verifying that I wanted to use the Documents folder and I clicked: Select.
And it sent me right back to the previous screen.
What am I doing wrong here?
Thank you
