REALLY weird battery charging behaviour!! - General Questions and Answers

Hello ppl
My galaxy note 8.0 battery needs battery calibration so i discharged the battery and while charging it (turned off device) I noticed that battery state give full green battery 100% for seconds then drop back to the low level it is charging on (that keep happening every about 2 minutes!!) .. that's while the charger "AC" is plugged and I didn't unplug it ... anybody noticed such behavior or has explanation? ... thx

[Q] Battery charge problem

I have battery charge problem.
I charge (on USB) my NS about 7 hours (during I sleep), after wakeup I check charge status it was "Charged", after that I unlock and goto home screen to check battery again. It was 100% so after that I unplug charger.
The battery level was drop to 97% immediately.
Is my NS got hardware problem?
Thank you and sorry for my English.
Normal problem out it will be fixed soon

i think ive read that it helps the battery last longer.
Also, ive been experiencing some other problems with charging my phone.
When its plugged into my wall and charging, instead of increasing battery percentage as it should, it will decrease in battery percentage, really strange. I'm not sure if its the battery or my charger? Anyone else experiencing this issue?
Did XDA NS have list of problem on 2.3.2 and 2.3.3
Sorry I found that forum
That 97% is a common problem? Man... I've been trying to recalibrate my battery the whole week...
They don't need to limit the charge to 97% to make the battery last longer. They can just lower the Full Charge limit without doing this awkward 3% drop after unplugging the charger.
thank you for all answer

My understanding is that this isn't a result of a lowered full charge limit but rather the way that LiOn batteries charge: once they reach full capacity they stop charging until they reach a bottom limit (Not sure what it is on the NS but on the Evo it was 90%) at which point they begin charging again. They do this because LiOn batteries do not absorb charge past 100% but they do absorb the heat from the charge. Over time this over heating can cause issues. There is another method of charging wherein the battery charges to full and then the amount of voltage is slowed but is continued. This method is called trickle charging and awhile back on the Evo it was all the rage until reports started to trickle in of batteries smoking or even catching fire due to overheating. Hence the reason why trickle charging is not standard.

Galaxy Note 10.1 N8013 Charging Problem

Hey guys,
I have a completely stock N8013. Recently, I've been charging the device but the % indicator stays the same even if charged for 10+ hours. I'm now down to 7%. I downloaded Ampere and I tried plugging into the wall socket and got around 1400mA, while on my laptop I got around 900mA, so I think the brick+cable are working. I also downloaded Repair Battery which IDed that about 5% of my cells were "bad" but it "fixed" that. Any ideas?
Drain battery to 10% .
Fully charge remove lead two hours later connect lead and recharge .
Download and run Battery Calibration app .( it does not calibrate just clears the battery stats )
Thats all you can do failure = new battery .

[Q] Battery not charging

Hi guys
Since two days I'm having a weird battery issue.
My note is not charging beyond 60% although the battery is charging properly till that with a standard charger. But as soon as I switch to fast charging and restart my device, it shows 0% charging while switched off. Then when I restart my device it shows 0% but starts to charge really really quick till 50% in just 5 minutes or so. But still never charges beyond 60%.
Can anyone please tell me what could be the issue. I've tried wiping everything and switched rom but nothing's helping.
Is it battery problem or charging port problem?
Please help.
I'm having the same problem with my phone, just started the other day.

Battery stuck at 90% capacity

Hi, recently my phone stuck at 90% battery level... The charging is turbo charge but the value never goes more than 90% even after 2 hours charging it will remain at 90....I've rebooted several time... What more weird is that I've turned off phone at 90% battery level and keep it charging for about 30 minutes the battery level drop to 85%.....anybody have recommendation what to do except changing the charger as the charger is ok when charge other phone.
