Tried it on my Z1 but the font in some apps are still different than the one I've uploaded (e.g. Camera, Walkman, Clock Widget, etc.)
Can anybody help...?
There are apps that use their own font but still make sure that you have gave the right permissions and of course restart.
As for way on how to install it just flash the zip that funky0308 provided.
Aaa....Sony Sketch...I just love that font style.
It was default font style in PAC ROM (for XS) - great fonts...

I use Absolute System on the market. Fonts change perfectly on my Sensation. Over 250 fonts!!! https://market.android.com/details?id=com.canvs2321.absolute.system&feature=search_result
The Revolution fonts you flash through recovery and that changes all your fonts or you can use Font changer https://market.android.com/details?id=com.martino2k6.fontchangerlite&feature=search_result which then you can choose specifically which fonts you want to change. Ex. lockscreen font or the system fonts etc. But for that you would also need the font on your phone which you can get from anywhere but my favorite site would be http://www.dafont.com/ Good luck flashing and what not.

The method I use, is extract the zip, go in it to system, fonts in the folder, and copy the files to system root. Fix the permissions there, then move to fonts folder. Reboot, and u good.
3 methods :-
Flash the zip file from recovery ( same way you flash the rom, but make sure your font is a flashable zip )
Use TypeFresh from the market.
Navigate to /system/font and replace as you like.
( you could also adb push fontname.ttf /system/font )
( also make sure when youre replacing the font, the names are identical. It's case sensitive )

Thanks! working great! Cant the ring go out on the screen? just in the "unlock area"
Are You kidding me? I just LOVE this lockscreen... and for stock, without any crappy 3rd party software... brilliant!
Thank you!!!
Oh... I have a challenge for you... Is there any way to get rid of the "darkness" from the lockscreen? The dark dimmed effect has always anoyed me like crazy. And with this lockscreen it would have been sooooo nice to get it 100%.
Can someone give me step by step instructions or make a flashable zip for me? I can't find any framework-res folder. Or are you talking about framework-res.apk? but I can't paste the files into an apk. Help please
Wow, nice. I'll try it. Great work.

Sure you can. If not, first rename .apk to .zip. That's all.

To be on the safe side....
1. Copy "framework-res.apk" from "root/system/framework" to your SD-card with a fileexplorer with rootaccess. Connect phone to PC and access your SD-card from PC.
2. Open "framework-res.apk" with 7Zip (works best without any problems) Do NOT unpack or rename it...
3. Drag and drop the files in the ics_layout.rar to the corresponding folder inside the opened "framework-res.apk". For every replaced file you have to answer Yes when promted.
4. Close 7zip and disconnect the phone from PC
5. From the fileexplorer on your phone you now COPY the file to "root/system" and paste it. Before you can paste you HAVE to mount the "root/system" as RW. If you don´t it will fail. If that is done just "paste" it.
6. Now change the permissions for the modded "framework-res.apk"... I hope you already know how to set them?
X X O
X O O
X O O
7. Now CUT "framework-res.apk" from "root/system" and paste it into the folder "root/system/framework". To be safe... mount "root/system/framework" as RW before.
8. Some apps will FC... normal... just reboot.
DONE!
Thanks it worked!

Hi folks. Here I make a batch script to change font in my Xperia U. I think it might work on any Xperia. It has been confirmed to work in xperia 2011 (mini, minipro, active, lww, ray) and 2012 line up (U, P, Go, Sola, S, and soon). It should work on any ICS Xperia.
The font pack sample attached is edited by me. I just change the metadata of the font, imitating the original one (so it's not only renaming the font file, but the metadata inside the font also). I include Comic Sans in the installer as sample.
Please report if it's working on your device or not. Always MAKE BACKUP before modding. Do with your own risk.

Make sure your device has been rooted
Installer : Font Changer
Steps on Installing:
1. Extract the zip
2. Put the font pack files into the '/files' directory. Replace if there's existing one
3. Run the installer_en.bat file and follow the steps.
In case the installer fails, you can install manually by pushing the fonts into /system/fonts folder
Don't forget to set permission rw-r--r--
Some of packs in Zip format is CWM flashable zip. You can simply install via CWM. In case it fails, just put it in installer or put it manually.
Preview:
Sorry for can't provide a good screeny right now. Will manage it later . You can google it for preview.

update
Some apps don't work directly like music player as u hv one in your system.. so you have to delete the original system app then follow the above procedure
This is possible with some apk files from other phones, not with all...Some system apk's need to be modified before use on other phones to be precise they need to bee ported before use...

Apps like Camera, Music Players require lib files to work.
And you also need to edit some of its properties.
Edit : This is not a guide on how to port system apps, but this is how you install any app as system app.
