How can i get the AOSP Lockscreen to my Defy?

A little bit more info would be perfect thx
you take the root explorer or super manager and copy the framework-res.apk on your sd card and then to your pc.
then you rename it to framwork-res.rar and extract it with winrar.
Then you open the extracted folder an search for the slider pictures.
you can edit it they are only pictures.
if you have edited it you make a rar of the folder.
renamed in framework-res.apk and copy in you system folder on you defy.
thats it.
sorry for my poor english

By the way, is it possible to control the Music with the Lockscreen? Like by a sense rom?
here is the framework-res.apk from Pays Rom 3.3
It has AOSP Sliders included.
If you are using 3.4.2-155-2 try this.

PowerAMP has the music lockscreen. But this should be in themes section I think.
Metamorph AOSP-Lockscreen
I made a Metamorph-Theme for myself which patches any framework-res.apk with the AOSP-Lockscreen.
Maybe this will help you.
it is for all Frameworks ?
Or all of the Froyos ?
I only tested it with some Froyos but theoretically it should work on Eclair, too.
Make a nandroid-backup and give it a try...
I made a update.zip for my own use.
Use at work own risk. It worked for me (JRDNEM_U3_3.4.2_155-002_DEBLUR).
Go into ClockWorkMod Recovery and use the option "Install zip from sdcard".
Thanks dedraks it works on my 3.4.2-177

Would it also work in the latest CEE Froyo?
yes works fine, and works too on gingerbread roms!
Does it just changes the Slider or also the notificationbar and the symbols there?
So this also works in stock roms and I don't need a custom, deodexed rom in order to have this lockscreen? I just follow the guidelines in the first page and I am good to go?
you change only the zmotoxxx.png image in res/drawable hdpi, used 7zip! this is all!
its only lockscreen image, if you want the status bar aosp, you have to replace the framework.res
I have stock 3.4.2 179. How can I get the lockbar from page 1 of this thread ?
Can I still follow the instructions form page one with the files from page one ? Or are those files incompatible with newer versions of froyo ?

Are You kidding me? I just LOVE this lockscreen... and for stock, without any crappy 3rd party software... brilliant!
Thank you!!!
Oh... I have a challenge for you... Is there any way to get rid of the "darkness" from the lockscreen? The dark dimmed effect has always anoyed me like crazy. And with this lockscreen it would have been sooooo nice to get it 100%.
Can someone give me step by step instructions or make a flashable zip for me? I can't find any framework-res folder. Or are you talking about framework-res.apk? but I can't paste the files into an apk. Help please
Wow, nice. I'll try it. Great work.

Sure you can. If not, first rename .apk to .zip. That's all.

To be on the safe side....
1. Copy "framework-res.apk" from "root/system/framework" to your SD-card with a fileexplorer with rootaccess. Connect phone to PC and access your SD-card from PC.
2. Open "framework-res.apk" with 7Zip (works best without any problems) Do NOT unpack or rename it...
3. Drag and drop the files in the ics_layout.rar to the corresponding folder inside the opened "framework-res.apk". For every replaced file you have to answer Yes when promted.
4. Close 7zip and disconnect the phone from PC
5. From the fileexplorer on your phone you now COPY the file to "root/system" and paste it. Before you can paste you HAVE to mount the "root/system" as RW. If you don´t it will fail. If that is done just "paste" it.
6. Now change the permissions for the modded "framework-res.apk"... I hope you already know how to set them?
X X O
X O O
X O O
7. Now CUT "framework-res.apk" from "root/system" and paste it into the folder "root/system/framework". To be safe... mount "root/system/framework" as RW before.
8. Some apps will FC... normal... just reboot.
DONE!
Thanks it worked!

Hihi, can i request as change some picture? meaning remove all 00121.jpg onward with replace the attached picture?
you can do that yourself
open (do not unzip!) the bootanimation, go to the appropriate place where you want to start changing the pics, then replace them as you like, but be sure to STORE the pics with no compression or it won't work!
sanim.zip
I renamed the file to bootanimation.zip. It didnt work. Then i renamed it to sanim.zip and it works. Im on xxkpq
as has been discussed in other threads, it depends on what kernel you're using whether it's bootanimation.zip or sanim.zip. whichever you name it is dependent on what you see in the system media folder. I use bootanimation.zip because sanim.zip is a redirectional file pointing at bootanimation.zip and cannot be modified if I want bootanimation to work

The file should be named bootanimation.zip and placed in \data\local with its properties set to 644 (rw-r--r--). You do not have to do anything with the stock bootanimation.zip file located in \system\media.

Strange. All bootanimations i installed manually or via flashable .zip replaced stock \system\media bootanimation.zip.
As for the bootanimation itself, it's nice, but needs renovation a bit: 2013---->2014, android 4.1.2---->4.4.4, correct memory size (16,32GB).

It is unnecessary to replace the stock bootanimation.zip located in \system\media. If a bootanimation.zip file exists in \data\local when Android boots, Android will use that file instead of the one in \system\media. I have created several bootanimation.zip files (my latest is Remy LaCroix wearing a bikini and working a hula hoop with sound) and I have always placed them in \data\local.

Hey i created a watchdogs bootanimation for our beloved s7 edge.
Source: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/themes-apps/boot-animation-watchdogs-v2-1-t2733053
How i did it: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/general/how-to-create-qmg-boot-animations-t2217795 (dont forget to rename them as: bootsamsung.qmg bootsamsungloop.qmg and shutdown.qmg)
ROOT REQUIRED!!!!
How to install:
Download the files here: MEDIAFIRE
get a root explorer (ES File Explorer or MIXplorer)
copy all the 3 .qmg files and put them to /system/media
select every single .qmg animation and go to Properties. Change the permissions to rw- r- r- (last part was already set when i did it with MIXplorer)
Now restart your Phone and you are fine with your new bootanimation ^^
SPENDEN / DONATE here: paypal.me/twinko
PREVIEW:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZKoMYzUrac
for some the following app will do it aswell (didnt worked for me) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tkstudio.sboot
you want sound with it:
DarkRoms said:
BUT I WANT SOUND, TOO. HOW CAN I GET THIS?
Well you dont even have to send me the File. You need Es File Explorer for it btw
Just cut a small part from your favourite song or Sound Effect and rename it PowerOn.ogg . Now move it to /system/media/audio/ui and keep pressing on it until the little bar on the bottom appear. Go to More>Properties and change Permissions to rw- r- r- ( At read check all Ticks. And at write check the first tick)
Thats all now restart Phone and enjoy sound!

Yes its my cat Bootsplash, i just didnt renamed it to avoid problems
can I ask what, it just shows black screen after I exported my bootsamsung.qmg what is the correct photo resolution?
my advice would befollow this tutorial:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/general/how-to-create-qmg-boot-animations-t2217795
The resultion should be the resolution of your screen. Pick the one u choose in settings of your samsung phone.
