Hi Everyone,
I will soon be executing a project for a client.
This project involves having a custom android tablet made with custom android OS.
After ordering these tablets is there a way for me to customize the operating system myself?
Is there a way to extract the operating system from the tablet Customize it then reload it to the tablet?
Bump.... Really need some information guys :/

Hello, are there any possibilities in the future, that Android would be installed on Windows Phone?
its possible now, if you can write a kernel, code the modules, reflash the partitions then port a rom.
WP7 is much better then android. Believe me.
Want to modify a Tablet (I-ball) rom for my android phone(MT6575). Is it possible?
Hello All,
I bought a Craig CLP281x netbook at Rite-Aid (ICS) specifically to begin playing around with Android and learning how to modify it. I got an update.img from the craig website, and rooted the device.
My question here is more basic than basic - I can open the img and look around inside with just an explorer, but if I want to try "rolling my own", do I need to use Android SDK to somehow create it? Or do I just start reading up on component parts and swapping them out?
Essentially, what do I need to compile my own update.img?
Thanks!

Hi guys,
I am new to the forums and just bought a Transformer Infinity T700.
I want to trial the system as is for a few weeks and eventually want to explore the possibility of dual booting to Backtrack Linux and using the system as a platform for penetration testing. Has anyone ever done this before? I can't see any related posts up here and have only read about backtrack being installed on older models.
Would greatly appreciate all feedback and any directions/threads I have missed to read for further information.
1. Use rabits' Ubuntu installation as a base
2. Replace Ubuntu parts with Backtrack parts (mostly the rootfs, and possibly the kernel, if you need a special config)
3. ????
4. Profit!!!
Dear all,
i am no developer. My knowledge of how android os even works is zero. I am but a simple android phone user. While using an android phone, I find myself wondering as to whether the stock/vanila android operating system can be modified such that it
1) has a termux-like terminal but with the capability of giving the user temporary root access something like in ubuntu
2) is possible to install it using a bootable flash disk instead of flashing only.
I hope that android developers can kindly let me know as to whether the above is possible or not.
With regards
