INSTALLATION PROCESS--

Download "Y_DROID_ROM.rar"
[*]Extract "Y_DROID_ROM.rar" by WinRar or 7zip
[*]After Extracting you will get two files.. (1)Y-DROID_v1.0_Riju95.zip & (2)uImage_recovery [DO NOT Rename/Extract THESE FILES]
[*]Copy them both to a SD Card [Do not insert it in Y2 now, wait..]
[*]Remove Any SD Card from your Y2
[*]Now boot in Stock Recovery by Pressing POWER BUTTON + VOLUME DOWN KEY
[*]Wipe data / factory reset
[*]Now hold the POWER BUTTON for a few seconds untill it shut down
[*]Now insert the SD Card and press POWER BUTTON + VOLUME DOWN KEY
[*]This time you will be booted into CWM Recovery [DO NOT USE THE Wipe Data/ Factory Reset OPTION IN CWM, IT WILL DELETE THE 2 FILES FROM SD Card & DO NOT MOUNT DATA or SYSTEM.]
[*]Go to Advanced, and Wipe Dalvik Cache
[*]Go back
[*]Choose zip from sdcard
[*]Select Y-DROID_v1.0_Riju95.zip
[*]Install....
[*]Go back
[*]Reboot
[*]ENJOY!!!!!!

"BOOTSCREEN FREEZE" BUG SOLUTION
Never delete the 2 files (1)Y-DROID_v1.0_Riju95.zip & (2)uImage_recovery [ from SDcard. Those are needed to solve this.
If the your Y2 is freezed at bootscreen, It will take ONLY 4 minutes to get rid of it.
Any of you data (Apps, Songs, Videos, Settings of app, Wallpaper, Photos, Folders, Contact,... etc.) will NOT be deleted, Your Y2 will be restored as it was just before the boot freeze.
Follow these steps--
This method works for every Y-DROID Rom user. The rom must be installed in the device. Do NOT clear cache or data in this process.
1)Insert the SDcard with those 2 files
2)Press POWER BUTTON + VOLUME DOWN KEY
3)You will be booted in CWM recovery
4)Choose update from SDcard
5)Select Y-DROID_v1.0_Riju95.zip
6)Wait for about 4 minutes
7)Go back & Reboot

can try to make the rom lighter?!! remove maybe some of the launchers... also add google play services apk its available online....also the root sometimes fails you might wanna look into that!!!!!!

Thanks a lot for your response. I will add Play services, and remove MiHome, iPad, and apex. The next version will have more features & tweaks, And it will be lighter.
You said earlier that the rom was freezed while booting. So please let me know how the problem were solved???? As I've mentioned that Y-DROID rom installed smoothly on my Y2. So, i really need to know what was the problem and how did you solve this??
And please explain the root failure problem, I didn't notice that problem with my rom. So please tell me about it...

the root just stopped working!!!! Anyway!! Boot freeze has no solution!!!! reflash the rom thats it!!!!! I feel there is a problem on that internal memory chip!!!! if the boot can be routed through sd card maybe it will work!!!!!

Turn the tab off by keep pressing the power button!!!! Then as you have said...go into cwm install the ROM!!!

How to install this Image file? it comes in *.rar format.. cant fine from cwm/stock recovery..

Download your custom ROM: Of course you choose the Vodafone 845 Mr Edition ROM
Add the sd card in a card reader and copy the Custom ROM zip file to SD card (FAT32 partition).
Again enter recovery mode by turning your device on while holding down 'volume up' and 'Start call' (green) then powering on your device.
Go to “wipe” where you select:
-> Wipe data/factory reset
-> Wipe Dalvik-cache
-> Wipe SD:ext partition
Confirm each step above via DPAD
-> Volume Down to go to main menu
Choose “Flash zip from sdcard” and if everything is okay you can select the Custom ROM zip file. Confirm via DPAD twice to install (just wait 2 minutes to finish)
-> Choose Power off
Restart Phone and that’s it

you can use ./fastboot-linux reboot ;-)
another user has made this installation guide.. the majority of user that are going to flash this rom don't know the fastboot or adb commands ;-)

yes i did. I only got an error when upgrading the sd card from 2 to 3. it said i should use ad smthng. What coul;d be wrong as my phone cannot work now
Have you been upgrading from 1.0 to 1.1? because you don't have to do a wipe if you are upgrading..
please repartition your sd-card ext 512 no swap en fat rest.
then wipe data/factory, dalvik-cache, sd-ext en then upgrade ext2 to ext3..
then use a cardreader to put the 1.1 rom on your sdcard..
reboot back in recovery and flash the rom.. if this don't work please try 1.0..
Thank you for the installation guide, now I can also test your rom Btw. I'm really impressed by the speed of the phone.. Dozenz of apps open and it still runs.. Also iGO worked ok even with music player in the background..

maybe my problem lies with creating an ext2 and ext3. My memory card is just in one format. How do i do this?
Did you follow the installation instruction and installed a custom recovery? is your anwser to this YES then we can continu ..
turn your phone off.. hold on to the call button + volume up + powerbutton... you now see AmonRA recovery..
go to partition sdcard --> partition SD.. --> 0 swap --> 512 ext and remaining fat.. after this is complete choose SD: ext2 to ext3..
if this is down put the memorycard in a cardreader put my rom on it and start recovery again.. choose Wipe --> Wipe data/factory res --> Wipe Dalvik-cache return to main menu and choose Flash zip from sdcard choose my zip and wait..

-- If you are on Bala's ROM v1.5/1.01(or did not flash your phone by following this guide), then do please flash your phone with official build v2 using this guide. It takes a mere 7 minutes for you to flash it but it takes hours together for me to make one for v1.5. If you want, i can make one for v1.5 also, but it can't be released within one week. So, bear with me & do upgrade your phone to official v2 !!!
NOTE1: If you are on Bala's ROM v1.5, then you won't lose your apps. Just flash official v2 with the help of flashing tutorial and the flash SilverLight 3 !
NOTE2 (read this only after reading the flashing guide above): If you are upgrading, then in the flashing guide linked above, in step 5, i did it like & it worked : After loading the scatter file, with battery inserted,i connected the phone by pressing Back+Menu buttons. My pc detected it and i clicked Format->Download. I kept holding it till the red process completed and from there everything went fine and flashing was successful.

Now boot your phone. First boot may take long time (even 10 minutes !), but don't worry. It will boot !!
STEPS TO ENABLE A2SD after installing the ROM:

3) Now boot into recovery and choose - flash zip from sdcard --> select zip from sdcard --> #open folder#'Bala's_ROM_v1.5' --> select PART -1.
Let it install without any error. Now try booting your mobile. The phone will not boot (more clearly: should not boot if installation completed correctly ! lol !)
4) Now, before installing PART-2, mount 'System' & 'Data' in recovery (i.e) mounts --> system and then data. Now install PART-2 by steps followed above !
[Now try booting. It should boot now !! LOL ]

USING A2SD GUI [For v1.5+]
'A2SD settings' on the app's main screen.
------You can choose where apps that you install should be saved either in sd-ext (sdcard partition) or your internal memory.
------ 'Zipalign on boot is off' - is recommended because the ROM is already zipaligned and doing it again on boot will take more time to boot.
------'Swap is deactivated' - I have not used it.....maybe you/anyone can try and reply !
DALVIK:
-- You can choose where Dalvik cache should be saved. Go more info on Dalvik-cache, try googling n reading the wiki about it.Other things can remain the same......

Some more:
One thing to remember - sd-ext is like internal memory for phone, but phone can't find how much space is used or left in sd-ext. Titanium backup will help you there......
All third-party/system apps will tell that apps are installed in phone memory......you should understand that sd-ext is also like internal memory for phone and all other apps !!
Apps should be installed normally .......but your free space in internal memory will remain the same even after installing apps.....you'll notice that ur sd-ext space will be reducing........
Phone can't find how much space is left in sd-ext but titanium backup will help you to know !!
If you find decrease in phone memory even when a2sd in enabled, use a2sd gui to reinstall all app to sd-ext.....u can also type this command in terminal emulator :
su
a2sd reinstall
More over one should not move apps to sdcard in 'application settings' when using a2sd !!

1. i hav wiped all data
2. i hav wiped SD card
3. disabled sign verification
4. unzipped yor rom and puted in proper folder.
5. but i selected to restore yor rom its shows some ..... (dots) for few second and shows oops something went wrong...
6. i am not able to install yor rom... using and testing its a later thing...
i'm trying to fix the error - 'Oops..something went wrong'.............also i'll try to create a working update.zip........................
about the RAM consumption, without ant app running, i'm getting 101 mb free and 128mb used..........it looks to ok but need to improve............

DeOdexing is the process of re-bundling that uncompressed critical data (.odex files) back into your compressed .apk (& .jar) files, so that now all of the data is included in the .apk files necessary to run your applications without the presence of .odex files
In addition all the data is now included within the .jar files necessary to utilize your framework components without .odex files. In a DeOdexed file structure, there are no odex files present.
What is the benefit of DeOdexing?
Deodexing doesn't speed your phone up or do anything of the sort.
It is simply something that is necessary to be able to theme a stock ROM.
Theoratically it should slowdown phone but practically it is negligible.
zipaliging is the process of reorganizing the manner in which the .apk is packaged to optimized it for being parsed faster by the android OS, it is comparable if not better than the odex file structure, so you get the best of both worlds; a themed ROM and the speed of an optimized file structure.
If one can implement all things properly phone will defenately speed up.

Well, i don't think flashing will affect your phone because i'll have to do it many a times a day and not just 4 times !!
When ever i try and flash my ROM and many a time it'll get struck at boot screen. So i'll be restoring/flashing it many a times a day !
Still thats my view.....i dunno really !
Deodexing.........in simple terms it is like this:
Our phone splits the apks and jars (only system apks and jars) into '.odex' files for fast processing of those files ..........but when the app is split into .apk/.jar file and .odex file, it not possible to edit them and make changes. when those files are deodexed or when we flash a deodexed ROM, the two files, '.odex' file and '.apk/.jar' are combined together and we will have only the apk or jar file and not the .odex file.......hence it makes editing or modifying possible. Also,only because of this, deodexed ROM takes some more time to boot!!
So because of this we can say that it related to theming........that too 'native' theme and not just Launcher' theming which are provided by GO Launcher etc.
I hope you understand...........!! Now any one can easily make themes for our phone !! just edit framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk, modify,test and upload !!

error ?? i didn't get any...........try disabling signature verification...........also try clearing cache, dalvik cache and data [clear data only after a backup via Titanium Bakup or nandroid]

Requirement NOTE for V3 [Jelly Bean]: You have to be on Stock V2 first (which i guess most of us have ) to flash it. Since the partition table of Stock V2 and T2 is same but its different in Stock V1.
Root your phone - Refer THIS to root your phone [Thanks Jgsolo27!] (Skip if you're rooted)
Flash CWMR - refer THIS to flash CWMR [Thanks Subtrix!] ( Skip if you've already flashed it)
Download DrBhokali ROM
Copy it to the root (the very first level of sd card ) of your external sd card (though it can be done using internal sd card also)
Turn off your phone.
Reboot in CWM recovery mode [ For this press "vol up + vol down + Power" button simultaneously ]
Choose "install zip from sdcard" option
Select "choose zip from sdcard"
Select DrBhokali Rom file and install it [ use vol up/vol down keys to move up/down AND power key to select ]
Wipe DALVIK cache (For this go to advanced->wipe dalvik cache)
Reboot system
Congoooosee you've flashed the ROM !

Successfully installed and big thanks for this rom. I came up with couple of issue a) LG camera app have force close issue but i tried some other camera apps like burst cam and camera zoom FX and ther are working fine so pl include stock camera in next version of rom. b) WiFi not working as it started working after flashing WiFi update fix.
The most imp thing is the battery backup which i will let u know after a day of usage. Still playing with it...hope every thing works grt...

HOW TO INSTALL THIS ROM:
1.) Download the zip file and paste it in root of the sd card.
2.) Boot to Custom Recovery.
3.) Wipe
4.) Wipe cache Partition.
5.) Wipe Dalvik cache.
6.) Go to install zip > from sd card > choose my zip file > flash.
7.) Reboot the phone. As it will reboot with this rom for the first time, it will take usually 5 to 10 minutes to boot for the first time.
8.) Most important part, ENJOY THE ROM !
NOTE: Accuweather widget has a white background. To make it transparent, just search your location by GPS or manually select your city by searching. Once the Weather Info gets loaded for the first time, the background gets changed to transparent permanently.

Make sure that you download keyboard for Exactly android 4.1.2 (it will not work even with other JB variants such as 4.3.x or 4.2.x
so, make sure that it is compatible with Jellybean) and also the rom is deodexed. So, download the keyboard for deodexed rom which is compatible with 4.1.2 version.

Sir its the stock rom. I just turned it into deodexed format (themeable format) and custom themed it to great extent for marshmallow. Therefore, its the stock boot.img. Even i am using it for 3 months and i didn't faced any issues. Can you please tell me about what exactly issues you are experiencing? I will try to resolve it within two days.

I installed it via twrp recovery. For link, search on google = twrp recovery install tutorial for galaxy core.
Changing font color for some menu items and notifications
Thank you for the awesome ROM. I think it is working fine. I am just interested whether there is a way to
1. remove S Finder and Quick Connect buttons and
2. change font color for notifications and some settings menu items ( Home screen mode... ) as current font is too light grey on white background.

Sorry for inconvenience. It looks like you have not cleared cache partition well as well as the dalvik cache.
Try installing with philz touch recovery. Before installing, go to mounts and storage, format cache, format data and format cache partition.
Then go to wipe cache partition and repeatedly wipe it until it stops showing errors and shows "cache wipe complete."
After that, go to wipe data/factory reset, click on "select to install a new rom". After it completes, Go to advanced> wipe dalvik cache. Then go to install zip, make sure that the "verify zip MD5 SUM" and "signature verification" checkboxes are not checked, then go to choose zip from sd card, choose my rom and flash it and then restart your phone. It will restart without any bootloop or problems.

Download the ROM again and flash it. By mistake I gave the not working one . But now I have fixed the link now download it
again and flash!

I ment installation field. The new upload you put it seem to be better. No error and the installation completed. but after I restart the device , the boot screan completed . the screen become black and no system come and it slept with the black screen.

3. Flash cwm bla bla.zip
4. go to advanced> Partition SD card

Did you wipe data and system? If No then wipe it and re flash the rom! If yes then download the boosters (I have fixed the links) and flash them with data and system mounted
Still the black screen after the boot ( oreo ) screen. As I told you it maybe that I miss somthing?
Once I flashed the orginal rom everything fine and smooth ( Odin), but once I flash custom rom ( your rom) I have this issue. I didnt flash any custom rom before for this device so maybe I miss anything. do you have video for the installation process?

Yes I did wipe and mounted as per instraction

Once I flashed the orginal rom everything fine and smooth ( Odin), but once I flash custom rom ( your rom) I have this issue. I didnt flash any custom rom before for this device so maybe I miss anything. do you have video for the installation process?

Ok tommorow I will upload a video on YouTube for the installation!
After you flash the rom then wait for some time it will take time to switch on 10-30 minutes.

Hi i've tried this beta on my sgy, followed the instrctions and it was a success. First it wont boot even after so many times but when i remove my sim card it boot normally, insert my sim card and then it was stuck on logo so i need to remove my sim to make it work. Anyway goodwork on this one, its good i cant wait for the stable build to finish. Thumbs up guys! :good: :fingers-crossed:

Hey buddy this is not my rom's problem it's cm11 problem. To fix it do this:-
.Flash the rom (as you already did)
.let it boot (remove Sim card)
. After it boots then go to download mode
.Now flash the CSC and PHONE/MODEM file of your region and let it complete!!!
.Your sgy will run the rom with no SIM errors!!!

Did you insert a Sim card? If yes then remove it and switch it on!!!
If it switched on then there is a problem. To fix this problem
.Flash the rom
.go to download mode
.flash CSC and MODEM/PHONE file
.Now it should work with SIM also

Does whatsapp work, since this is Android Version 4.4.x?
I tried with 2.20 apk and got "needs to be installed again" error after launching.

Buddy it might not depends on the performance of our device because this being a low end device it has like 80% chances of running WhatsApp it should run it though but because of the heavy update it might not the splash screen they added decreases the chance of running i will see if it works.
