Did and Did more then one time non of these helped.
try one of the UN official fbook apps.
I am with Trusselo on this - try one of the unofficial apps. I like FB Black personally, but there are a few out there. Also when I have an issue with it not connecting it is usually because I have changed how I am connected since I first open the app. For example we have six wifi points at my work and if I am walking around the building and go off one onto another then it seems to confuse the app. Turning the wifi off and back on again on the phone and restarting the app is the most I have to do to fix it.
Uninstall fb app. Go to accounts and add fb as a account. After that install the official fb app.

Have you tried using the official Facebook app again since when you were having those problems? I have was having that same problem a few days ago too and it went away last night when I gave it a shot again...
I was also having an issue with the official FB app so I uninstalled it, rebooted my phone, re-installed it and now it's working great.
I just installed paypal to my infuse, for some reason when I try to log in I get a "try later" message. I've changed my password, logged of pc and it still will not work. Btw,same password and user name work on my pc and regular phone browser.

Go to the application info page in your device, clear data, reboot, then try it again. If it still doesn't work, contact the developer(s) via the application market page (near the bottom - "contact developer" via email).
It's working now, I waited a few hours and it came out of its funk. Thanks.

Is it on google dot com (sorry, can't post links yet) or the personalized igoogle page with all the widgets? if it's igoogle, you might have a widget causing the refresh...just close one at a time until you find the one causing the problem.
Its on Google.com as soon as I sign in it just keeps on refreshing there is only 1 browser I have found that it does not do it on and that's opera

Hmm....I'd try logging out of your google account from the link on the google dot com page, then clear your cookies, restart browser, & see if it goes away.
Tried that I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the apk

Hello all,
I've decided to ditch Gmail and use the stock mail app. One if my accounts was hacked recently so Google had me add an extra layer of protection that when ever I sign in from another new device (or when I change ROMS) it sends me a verification code in a text message to complete the sign in. Is this what's preventing me from being able to sign into my account using the HTC mail app? Is there a way around it or something I'm missing when trying to set it up.
Thanks,
Mark

You have to go into your Google security settings and get a unique password that you will use for the HTC mail app. You will use the password supplied when you setup the mail app instead of your Google password. You will find it near the bottom of the security screen.

Where are the Google security settings at? I was able to go to Google settings and hit the 3 dots on the to right and one of the options was to get a verification code and it gave me one. I tried to use it as a password without a space in the middle and with but it still says failed.

I am not near a computer right now but you might need to get to the Google security settings via a browser. A verification code will definitely not work. You need to set an app specific password. Try to Google search "two step authentication app specific password" sorry I can't be of more help right now. If I was near a computer I could give you exact steps.

https://www.google.com/settings/security
Then click on settings for app passwords
It will generate a one time use password that will not be shown again after initially generated. You can save it if you wish, but you can generate as many as you wish so there really isn't a need. You can also revoke it at any time.
Thanks to both of you for the help. It worked like a charm.

Glad you got it to work. Too bad Google doesn't make that function a bit more obvious.
