My Phone has CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.7 which is a touch screen recovery mode and i am having problems with it.
I had a 4.0 ICS custom rom in my samsung galaxy 3 but it made my phone really slow. I was searching a new custom rom thats when i found kyrillos rom 9.7.1 which was really cool because of its features. So I downloaded it and then I formatted everything by reset factory mode option to install update as I already had one custom rom earlier. But when I opened recovery mode it is not installing update.zip file of kyrillos rom and is always saying that the installation aborted. Please help me with this guys........... :crying:

Kyrillos 9.7.1 had to be flashed on Kyrillos 9.7. It will not work on any other rom.
So flash 9.7 first then 9.7.1.

I recently flashed creeds rom and my samsung galaxy y is just stuck on boot screen for about 20-30minutes. It just shows "Samsung Galaxy Young" in white text and doesnt go any further.
I tried infected's rom, but still the same.
Earlier when i flashed with creeds rom, it was working fine but now, no ROM is working. I always get stuck at boot.
Now to get it back i need to flash it via odin , but please can someone tell me how to install roms without getting stuck on boot ?
You might have bricked your phone..
Which version of creeds rom you used...?

Try to flash stock rom from odin
Agreed. Flash stock with Odin. Search the forums for a link to stock roms and how to do this - don't worry, it's quite straightforward.
Thanks
Thanks guys for your response. I used creeds rom v2.
And the solution you told to flash via odin, I already know that but I wanted a fix to install roms and not a fix to restore my phone to stock android.
I found a solution.
Thanks anyway!

Can you share what you did... I think I did the same thing...
Right so I've recently got a brand new phone to replace my Galaxy 3 (A Galaxy Nexus, such a huge difference) and am now trying to get my old phone back to the Stock Firmware since I plan on giving it to my little sister and it seems like a bad idea to give her a phone with the incredibly buggy (but still very good) Kyrillos' ROM 10.
I've tried using the JPU firmware I found on this very forum. I booted the phone into Recovery, wiped data, cache and Dalvik, then booted the phone into Download mode and used ODIN to flash the JPU ROM onto it. This has resulted in a bootloop as has every other stock 2.2 ROM I have tried. I did manage to get KyoraROM 2.2 running on it but as good as that is I don't want to give anything custom to my little sister.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

After you flashed JPU, just wipe data one more time if it doesn't work, then re-flash the rom and wipe data/cache.
How can I wipe the data if it won't boot? Its a stock ROM which means no ClockworkMod recovery.
The simple solution is install jpu rom install fugumod our g3mod whichever you prefer via Odin and then wipe data
Kernels come loaded with cwm if I remember correctly

actually if u'll try to boot in cwm with stock kernel by key combo...you'll see that there is cwm & option to wipe data...look a lil' better & you'll find
I ended up just giving her the phone with KyoraROM on it. She's happy with it like that running TouchWiz and without any overclocks etc. on it the phone doesn't crash so no problems.
Thanks anyway folks.
Just to clarify your doubts, there is stock recovery. Except that it has a very limited functionality
Cheers

hello i am new to xda and just created a thread for help about my problem. I flashed razodroid v4 one day and thought of flashing jb 4.2.2 touchwiz rom. I flashed it and it worked fine for some days, then i thought of flashing sd-ext patch and it also worked fine with my ext4 sd card.
one day when i was tired of my slow phone, i installed the badass kernel and it installed succesfully and worked for some hours.....
after that the phone turned off suddenly and never went on always went to the text Galaxy Fit GT-S5670 and then nothing..
then i flashed the froyo official stock rom from odin it worked fine but there the recovery was showing the following problem and i was not able to flash any rom from recovery from that day.....
plzzz help me from this problem i want to upgrade to android 4.3 i am now having the gingerbread stock dxkt7 that i flashed from odin.
Reflash latest 2.3.6 [Gingerbread] firmware using odin --> Wipe everything --> Flash CWM --> Flash your desired ROM following all instructions perfectly..It should solve all problems..
Btw why you had flashed froyo firmware..?

The certain errors u r seeing in cwm recovery will disappear when u flash ny custom rom. They r only visible under samsung official stock rom.
Edit: & do format /system b4 flashing custom rom for the 1st time over stock otherwise u will get hanged at the android-text/boot-up screen forever...remember that..!!
no luck yet!!!!!!!!!!
no method is working on my galaxy fit i try to flash custom roms everyday but it is always stuck on the Galaxy Fit tex. I did wiped system too this time but it didnt help.............

Hi guys I ve been a htc desire hd user and I have been installing roms on it . Now I got my galaxy tab 2 10.1 on jellybean 4.1.1. It was brand new and I rooted it by flashing some zip through odin and installed philz recovery ( didnt do anything with bootloader since I followed a guide). I then started to download and install roms. Cyanogemod jellybean rom installed fine on it but other then that rom I tried putting infected, cyanogen mod android 4.3 rom and two other roms. I made sure I did data wipe, cacha wipe e.t.c, downloaded right roms and other things. Still these roms dont load. When I start my device its just stuck on samsung tab 2 10.1 logo forever, except for the cyanogemmod jellybean rom. I dont think theres a problem with recovery since it install the rom fine and other thn that it developed by cwm. From my experience I think there must be a problem in flashing/loading of boot image but I am still not sure. Remember I didnt do anythimg with bootloader, dont know whether it locked or unlocked but why arent other roms installing on my tab except cyanogenmod 4.1 rom. Even ics roms dont install. while I have seen people comments that they get to install roms successfully and have exactly my model of tab.
My model is gt p5113 and running stock 4.1.1 for now. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Only things i can think of are that you change recovery or just try to download all stuff for roms again and again. Maybe there is something broken in your device.

Yes, Normally Installing new ROM does not wipe your music and gallery if they are stored on your external SD card.

I agree that you might need to change your recovery. I use TWRP.

dude u flashed the kernel which was specifically meant to be for gb, not for jellybean, so this bootloop will occur definitely...jus flash stock and everything is fine then go for other roms and dont flash any other kernel.. jus flash the rom and gapps
use twrp recovery and your steps are correct...and use odin 3.7
