I was wondering if I can use xt910's jelly bean on xoom 2 mz616. It seems that both have the same hardware. Do anyone know wether it works or not?

Which parts are not compatible? How about we use safestrap, create a back up of 4.0.4, restore the image to slot 2, and use the system image from custom rom for droid razr to flash the system in slot 2? Can this be done?

Im getting my maxx hd in two days and noticed some ways to root on ics. If i get my maxx and its preloaded with jb can i still use matts utility to fastboot back to ics and get root then use rootkeeper?

It will probably come pre-loaded with ICS but if for some reason it comes with JB then yes you can restore back to ICS and root. Enjoy

I just got my good old RAZR Maxx HD after a repair and they already upgraded it to jb 4.1.1 (when I shipped, he had ICS). Is it possible to go back to ICS now? Anyone has done it? Thanks in advance.

Yes sir it is! Just Google matts utility and download that. Make sure to backup all your data before you restore your phone back to ICS. Enjoy!

Other people don't know what they are talking about haha. I have been restored back to ICS multiple times. Use Matt's utility and I am sure you will not have any problems whatsoever.

Hi guys, I'm having some problems using the NFC with a Samsung galaxy s3.
From my razr maxx hd to s3 it works well, but from S3 to motorola it does not work at all..
The motorola opens the play store with the message "item not found"..
The fact that I am not using any SIM card has something related?

Hi biaianh! what were you trying to transfer? I tried to send some pictures to a S3 and nothing, also tried the other way from S3 to HD and nothing, the only thing I was able to transfer was contact's information... is there any app that we need to install?

I've successfully sent and received pictures with my friends' S3s. Make sure everyone is at least on JB 4.1. Disable S Beam but keep NFC/Android Beam enabled and try sending pics from gallery

Just an update here.. my HD have now JB, I tried again to transfer files, pictures, etc. to a S3 and it worked, just be sure to disable the S-beam on the S3 and that's it.

I found guides on how to root my phone, which btw I have the Razr Maxx not the Razr Maxx HD. But after you root it how do I install a different operating system besides android, also whats the best one out right now. Im not a fan of google or the android OS. Any help would be appreciated.

I have done research I found guides on how to root, but which rom is the best out now? from what I have seen my phone is limited to GB or ICS?
and is there a guide on how to flash the rom after the root? I am a huge noob, never done this before, just want the android os off my phone.
Why don't you post in the razr MAXX section man.. That would only make sense. And running a different rom dosent change the os. Its still android. You can't just make it be an iPhone or a windows phone.

My friend was able to get a rooted 4.1.2 rom on his xt926, but somehow, root access is now gone from the phone after installing some apps. The phone is currently on 9.16.6, is there any utility that is able to root this yet? I tried the Droid Razr hd utility 1.10, but it says it won't work with 9.16.6.
No root for it yet.

I just got my Droid Razr HD. Im thinking of rooting it after the release of CM 12. Right now my phone is updated to 4.4.2 kitkat so do I have to downgrade or anything before rooting the phone?

Is your phone's bootloader unlocked? Do you have a xt925 or xt926?
xt926. Im not sure about bootloader though. (Im not using the Verizon SIM)
If you're on the latest KK, you can't root or unlock. What System Version are you on?

Tried that, didn't work... Towel root too didn't work... The only thing I haven't tried is flashing the firmware. I will try that and give a feedback.
