Sony Xperia SS Newest Stock Firmware 11.3.A.2.23.ftf Download - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

Hello people,
So I've read a couple of posts, and it seems to me that many people seem to have trouble finding a proper stock .ftf file of the newest Sony Xperia E SS. So here it is. Just in a simple post. It is unbranded, and has the usual normal apps installed, so there isn't any provider-apps installed.

Mirror: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8naZAFW2NP3NEJERTZ3aTZJbTg/edit?pli=1
Note: the mirror comes from BenjoyEricsson his thread(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2435957) all credits for the mirror go to him!
This firmware file will work for both C1504 and C1505, so don't be confused, because the file says C1505!
Have a nice day, and I hope you will benefit from this files!
Cheerios.

Will it work on C1504?

Are you you sure it will work on Xperia E C1504 (SS) ?
I need it as a backup in case anything goes wrong.

Yes, it will also work on the C1504! The firmware works exactly the same on both devices! So don't worry about that. I'll edit my first post, so there can't be any more misunderstandings. The only difference between this devices, is the network they are supporting:
C1505:UMTS HSPA 900 (Band VIII), 2100 (Band I)GSM GPRS/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900
C1504:UMTS HSPA 850 (Band V), 1900 (Band II), 2100 (Band I)GSM GPRS/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900
They are like 99,99% the same, so don't bother about the firmware!

Ok.. Seems legit, buy I'm still skeptical :
-Are you absolutely sure it would cause no (network-related) problems?
-The C1505 is a dual-sim device, does using its firmware affect anything in my c1504 which is a single-sim? (N.B : the uploader's phone is a single sim C1505 )
-Will my phone show itself as C1505 under 'Model number' in 'About Device' ?

HIT THE THANKS BUTTON IF I WAS OF ANY HELP

Hello,
-C1505 firmware will cause no damage to your device, even if your device is a C1504!
-The C1504 and C1505 are both single sim devices! As I said the only difference between those two, is the baseband they support! What that means, is that they are exactly the same! Flashing C1505 firmware on C1504 will have no negative consequence!
The codenames for the E dual, are C1604 and C1605! So a C1505 isn't a dual Xperia E!
Don't worry about the firmware. I guearantee you it won't cause any damage to your device! If you don't believe me, you can ask someone else!
And buddy? Have some trust !/B] If this will cause damage to your device, maybe turning it into a cyberhuman who takes over the world, I will send you my device, allright?. If we aren't already dead by then...
I hope you now believe me, and if you have any other questions, just ask them! No harsh feelings !
Cheers, and good luck!

The one from Portugal /vodafone worked and then after a while updated the latest JB 4.1.1 version (worked good ) and the other ftf file i put into my flashtools to flash it on my phone would not appear in my firmware menu at all . ,that was 11.3.A,O .47.I try and redownload it again to test ..Maybe i did not get it al ...As i am new to this sort of forums ,i have a question to ask about rooting my phone
I tried framework and one click root and srsroot ,but nothing happens they all fail . It says my sd system cannot be RW
So it is something to do with having a secure boot image on my Phone .I need one that i can flash on with has no secure so i can root it
I googled everywhere ,and it is a bit complicated to me .And when i tried flashtools itself to root,i get this in the menu on pc
Tried to root failed no busybox .Do i put busybox in the folder of my flashtools or on my phone to get it to work Do you have any ideas please ??
This is how i bricked my phone in the first place trying to root (i do not mind bricking phone cause thaks to you i have the right firmware

You can use Kingo Android root, Cydiaimpactor.com, or downgrade to 11.3.A.0.47, root with Framaroot, and flash the kernel of 11.3.A.2.23.
Sorry, I'm on my phone. At the moment it's difficult to help you, and supply you with links!

basebands or stock roms for Sony Tipo ST21A2?

I have the US version of the Sony Tipo dual and I flashed the newest firmware for a Sony Tipo ST21i2 it works but I need a US baseband to use t-mobile data... does anyone know where I can either get the latest US stock rom or some US basebands it appears that flashing the rom might have changed the frequency bands on my Tipo or it might just be the rom can't access the 1900 AWS band I'd need for reframed T-Mobile data.

Don' t think so. Your modem is different from TL-09 modem, therefore it couldn' t work at all the radio.
Thanks tuddu..do you know how I can check what networks I have in my phone..the box show tdd-lte..but I do some googling and it said it also have fdd but only at 1900 & 2100..

Unfortunally not. Try googling and see wich app can help you in finding the frequencies used by your modem.
I trust you can find it also in play store. What about Antutu???

[STOCK] [D2203/06/43] [4.4.4] Xperia E3 LTE - 18.5.C.0.19 - Generic America released!

Hi Guys!
I´m reporting that Android 4.4.4 Stock rom (18.5.C.0.19) is officially released for LTE Devices (D2203/D2206/D2243) but not for D2243. I suppose that D2206 generic firmware may work with D2243 Brazilian devices but im not 100% sure. Now, all the E3 family is running the 4.4.4 version.
Edit: thanks to @luitzaa, we found that D2206 stock rom works on D2243 models, but you will lose digital ISDB-T television (only in Brazil, but this is not required for daily use). Also, it changes the variant number from D2243 to D2206 without affecting the functionality of the device.
As you can see here, the firmware is downloading from XperiFirm 3.6
Download XperiFirm here http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...perifirm-xperia-firmware-downloader-t2834142/

I have installed Stock 4.4.4 via flashtool and followed @vinay method for rooting 4.4.4 and everything goes fine! No rubbish apps, no operator apps, just a little and nice stock.
@vinay method here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58407747&postcount=1
Changelog:
It looks the same as 4.4.2. Added some improvements and fixed bugs, but everything works fine (just like in 4.4.2). Although 4.4.2 (18.4.C.2.12) and 4.4.4 (18.5.C.0.19.) have minimal and non perceptible differences between them.
By the way: you cant install recovery (CWM) with rooted 4.4.4 stock rom because the boot D2203 img file for 4.4.2 is not compatible. If you flash the boot D2203 img file into your recent installed 4.4.4 stock, you will get a perpetual sony xperia logo that doesnt left you boot completely the device!
Sceenshots of the Xperia E3 LTE D2206 with Stock 4.4.4 They are at the bottom of the post
Proof of new firmware 18.5.C.0.19 (added busybox and universal init.d captures to show how should appear if you do all the @vinay rooting process correctly.
See Stock 4.4.4 in video!

I tried do install the dtv apk but it didn't work on D2203 and D2206 neither, so I'm backing to my 18.4.C.2.14 rom :crying:
Everything is working, but not the digital tv.
Thanks @luitzaa
For inform us about situation of D2243 devices.
now what
thx vinary and all the others who contribued. Great job and everything work just fine, BUT i must say that i had a d2203 4.2 and follow all guides to unlock bootloader (from official page). update to 4.4.4 and finaly root it from this guide. Some tips i found along the way, is best to use chrome to get unlock code from sonny website to unlock bootloader (they may got a bug) and i was able to flash-fastboot from win7 sp1 box without getting any error.
Now i want to ask, i have my d2203 rooted on v4.4.4 and i want to make a custom rom for it, e.x i want to change loading screen, delete some preinstalled apps..etc I used moeenur GUIDE here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2327034 and got a "directory style", now is this the "rom"? and if so by making changes how can i flash it? and if i do flash it, i must root again my device or not? Thanks in advance (post edited)
Hello, I am downloading this:
I gues it is similar to above ROM but it is for D2203. I am downloading it because there is still no 4.4.4 update for my region but I want to do the vinay's method for swapping internal <-> external memory which requires 44.4.
My questions:
1. The ROM that comes originally with my phone is for Central Europe, is it OK to install this ROM which is for America?
2. Where can I find instructions about how to flash the ROM?
Thanks.
Hi @fashion_m
If your device is D2206 LTE you can install D2203 firmware on your D2206 device. Theres no changes if firmware is generic from americas or europe, the only change is in the number version of your device, that is going to be D2203 and a few regional apps you can delete. Just as it. Please take care of the LTE band compatibility in your region. I hope you work on LTE band 4 AWS or band 7, if is not, you will lose LTE benefits, but your telephone will work with GSM.
D2203 UMTS HSPA+ 900 (Band VIII), 850 (Band V), 2100 (Band I) MHz
GSM GPRS/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
LTE Bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20

Camera,xloud, etc work fine.
You will only loose ta if you unlock bootloader.
First root with locked bootloader backup ta partation unlock bootloader.
Now whenever you want to get ta partation back relock bootloader restore ta.

[Q] Sony Xperia D6683

Hello guys.
Pleas tell me if I can flash D6633 firmware on D6683. I've searched everywhere and there is no answer.
Thank you!
Yes
Sure you can!
I did for mine. D6683 running on D6633 firmware. It's ok.
Basically, the hardware of both devices is similar, the D6683 was modified to support Hongkong LTE network.
Can you tell me how to flash it? I tried with flashtool and it says that the firmware is not for this phone... or something like that. I have Locked Bootloader.
Thanks
How was this? Got a D6683 also.
I've managed to install IT. You download The firmware with xperifirm and create The ftf with flashtool v 0.9.18.6. Before you start The ftf creation just delete fwinfo from the downloaded folder. Then you flash the firmware. Flashtool won't recognize The d6633 but Will ask you what Phone you have. Select D66xx and IT starts.
So now your phone says it's a d6633? And there aren't any bugs? What are the prerequisites for using the flashtool to flash an ftf? Sorry just got this phone new(locked bootloader no root)

Have you tested the radio bands to see if they all work the same as a D6633? Curious as thinking of buying one, but the D6683 has less working bands.
D6683 LTE radio
Hi, I am also interested in finding out whether D6683 have a hardware radio for the LTE 800Mhz band. I think other models (e.g. D6633) have it. If D6683 have it then it should just be a matter of software tweaking, what procedures can I refer to for activating this LTE frequency? Thanks.

I think it may not work well, asked the same question in another thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=63032397
Hello,
does the LTE-Band 20 (800 MHz) work?
Thanks,
Tom
Would be unstable and probably not functional unfortunately
Hello
Is there one wants to experience the renovation Marshmallow D6633 to D6683 model?

Xperia XA (Us Warranty) no LTE service

Good day all, hope I'm on the right place/post here.
Wondering if someone can help, I've purchased a Xperia XA F3113 via Amazon from SA.
Phone works 99.9%, the other 0.01% is my issue.
To start with all the settings are set to LTE(Preferred)/WCDMA/GSM, my carrier Vodacom has sent and verified that my sim is LTE activated (Used the same sim on other phones with LTE present)
Here's everything I did to resolve the problem....
1- Phone came from USA with android 6 and no LTE signal just 3g (In a 4G environment)
2- Vodacom sent settings and confirmed. did not work
3- Spoke to Sony and they suggested I upgrade software
4- Upgraded software via Sony Companion to Nougat Android 7
5- Vodacom re-send the LTE settings still no luck.
6- If I search the mobile networks it only finds 3g-Vodacom, 2g-Vodacom, MTN, Cell C NO LTE on any network. Screen shot Attached....
7- Think I've reached Google's end of their information network (searched everything)
OK so now I'm thinking I want to flash/re-install ROM/Firmware with SA (South African) settings due to different Base band versions.
I came across a link but are not allowed to post it yet due to my 1ste post on you're site. But the ink only have the "(F3112_1302-4393_33.3.A.0.127-R1B_Customized_SA.ftf)" for model F3112 dual sim and apparently it wont work on the F3113 single sim....
Google this: 2017/06/xperia-xa-android-7-0-nougat-firmware
Can Anyone maybe help or have some suggestions except for returning the phone.....?
Thnx

Hi, I think that it will not solve your problem. Did not you asked yourself why Sony sell 3 differents single sim device (F3111, F3113 and F3115)?
Look here and "Networks":
http://www.xperiablog.net/specifications/2016-xperias/xperia-xa/
And if I look here Vodacom SA uses LTE B3 for 4G:
https://www.frequencycheck.com/carriers/vodacom-south-africa
To confirm your problem if you look here you will see that only F3111 and F3115 will have 4G on Vodacom SA:
https://www.frequencycheck.com/carr...eria+XA+&q[device_brand_id_eq]=&commit=Search
Be careful next time you buy a device

You can try but it will probably brick your device or Flashtool will not let you flash it (never tested). Firmwares are not unified probably for a good reason. Maybe an other user can confirm if it works or not

"Note: Your network operator will see your fake model and vendor":fingers-crossed:

I don't want to break your hopes but the problem is not your network provider so changing some lines in build.prop will not enable LTE Band 3 on your device. It's a modem feature (or maybe related to modem firmware if you are lucky) so it's on the hardware side of your phone. You can try but I know the result The better way is to know if modem chips are same on all XA Single Sim and, if yes, try to flash the modem firmware from a F3111 or F3115.
Cool, will investigate and try that. Thank a lot

Flashing ROMs from F3111 or F3115 to F3113 is not a good idea. Like @rrvuhpg said it can brick your device. My advice is to send it back and ask for different model (if they have it, because you have warranty). There is also a possibility to change just baseband, but I don't have expirience in extracting baseband. I remember that when I used Huawei G510 I flashed MIUI rom with Chinese baseband and then developer added one small .zip file to flash it for other regions and it worked (but I changed that ROM because it takes too much resources for a that phone). So try contacting some senior developer or google for it, but do this if you can't change your phone, because you will lose warranty if you root phone.
Thank you guys I will definitively try some of you're advice's, thanks again....... Will give feedback asap. have a good one..
