Hey guys i just created a update.zip which contains most of the must-use root tools.
The zip contains the following "free" applications which can also be found in playstore, pirated software is NOT included.
Apps:
-Airpush Detector:
Detects which apps uses Airpush Malware.
-Button LED:
Mimicks the Notification LED for devices which lacks this feature.
-CatLog:
A logger for errors and running (system) tasks.
-CPU-Z:
Gives you complete information about your device and hardware.
-Clean Master:
One of the best tools for cleaning your app cache.
-GooManager:
A great CWM Mod Manager replacement to find the latest Custom Roms and gApps.
-Greenify:
Prevent (wakelock) apps from running on your device in the backround when idle, to save battery life.
-Perfect App Lock
Protects your system and applications with a password.
-Root Checker:
Checks if your device is rooted.
-ROM Toolbox:
The ultimate root tool, features apps like: rom backups, rootbrowser, cpu gov, buildprop editor, theme manager, bootloaders etc.
-Root Browser:
A great filemanager tool.
-Titanium Backup
A great tool to backup your existing applications and system files.
-Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper:
Application to temporarily disable root to enable OTA (stock) firmware updates.
-WakeLock Detector:
Detects which app runs in backround causing battery drain.
-XDA App:
The official XDA App to keep in touch with the XDA Dev Community. Just included this one cuz its a must too
Just place the zip into root folder of your internal storage and flash the update.zip with CWM Recovery and everything will be installed.
This flashable file can be used with Stock Rom (GB, ICS, JB) or CyanogenMod 9.x/10.x
note: If you wish to leave out certain apps just edit the zip folder and remove the apps from data/data & app folders.
Download Update.zip (36.5MB): http://www.mediafire.com/?cgha32b5lgwan32
Thanks
No problem. always useful to have the right tools after eg. a fresh format or rom flash and not having to re-install or re-downloading them again.

Just place/move the zip at the main area (root) of /sdcard/ you should have no problems moving files around in ES.
If it still does not work, try "root browser" (by JRummy) in playstore

Hi guys. Samsung Galaxy Ace, 2.3.6, rooted with the file upd_1.zip downloaded with this website.
1. It's an .apk file for rooting, correct? Are all such files (i.e. apk files for rooting) installed through the recovery mode?
2. How does it differ from
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5ub3NodWZvdS5hbmRyb2lkLnN1Il0.
3. It's installed in system/app, correct? If it is a system app, why can't I uninstall it with Titanium backup like I do with Samsung Apps, Voice Search, FM Radio, and other system apps? (I use a file called unroot.zip to uninstall, downloaded from this website also)
Thanks guys!
1. .apk files are not installed through the recovery mode, every android app is an .apk file , so install it with the .apk installer
2. With "superuser" you can give apps rootaccess to your phone
3. No, root is deeper in the system, you can´t uninstall it with titanium backup because titanium needs root! Did you root per kernel or per App ( superoneclick )? If you rooted per kernel, install a stock kernel and you won´t have been rooted after. If you rooted per App, you normally can uninstall root with the app .
I hope I could help you.

download Titanium Backup from playstore:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup
alows you to backup applications, remove applications, freeze applications (donation version is required to freeze i think)
you can do this with
Link2SD app. It's free & also you can freeze apps
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.buak.Link2SD
Use any ROOT File explorer
If you want to just uninstall apps, and not care to backup/freeze them, then you can also use any file explorer with Root Capabilities, like Root Explorer, Root Browser , ES File Explorer (my favorite, lovely GUI ) , since you also get the added bonus of any other file explorer (browsing files, copying, pasting etc. )
After you install, Grant superuser permissions and then go to /system/app.
Then you'll have to mount the directory as R/W. [For ES File Explorer, bring up the side menu (swipe left-to-right, click Root Explorer, click Mount R/W, and select /system from the list.
Now, locate the apk of the corresponding app you want to uninstall, and just delete it!
[Yeah, I know this method is a bit complex than others, but an effective alternative]:good:
Download SystemCleanup from the play store. It tells you what system apps are safe to remove so you don't delete something you shouldn't.

As you may know, Google has remove App Ops on Android 4.4.2. This app helps you to bring it back
Root device only for now
What is App Ops
App Ops is an activity, within the Settings app, that allows users to enable or disable operations on a per-app basis. These operations cover many common scenarios identified by permissions (e.g., read contacts, write contacts, access location), though it is not a pure one-to-one mapping.
Operations blocked by App Ops are inaccessible by the affected app, though that may vary by device.
Toggle-able permissions
- Access notifications
- Alarm volume
- Audio focus
- Bluetooth volume
- Call phone
- Camera
- Draw on top
- Keep awake
- Location
- Master volume
- Media buttons
- Media volume
- Modify calendar
- Modify call log
- Modify clipboard
- Modify contacts
- Modify settings
- Notification volume
- Play audio
- Post notification
- Read calendar
- Read call log
- Read clipboard
- Read contacts
- Read SMS/MMS
- Receive SMS/MMS
- Record audio
- Ring volume
- Send SMS/MMS
- Vibrate
- Voice volume
- Write SMS/MMS

It's weird that this thread has no activity.. it's a proper mod tbh.
After clicking to "Install AppOps Root", the device reboots, but nothing seems to change. Starting the Installer again still shows the same message: "Click to install AppOps Root..."
If I click "Launch Stock App Ops", I see Settings that promptly closes.
I am rooted and running a 4.4.2 ROM.
What am I missing?
App is working great. But can you please change the Icon in the drawer? It is really hard to see with this dark grey color

Not for me.
I have run through installation twice and didn't see any errors.
I just got prompted to d/l new firmware for my note 3 today. and after hearing they took this out. I declined it! keeping an eye on this, hopefully there will be a way to bring this back for non rooted devices. as my phone is only 2 months old. and I wana wait 4-6 months to make sure its not faulty B4 I go rooting it. plus there arent enough stable ROMS for note 3 anyway. I like Wanam as its stock ish without bloat. so waiting for wanam!
Reboot after install
Im using CM11.0 and the phone reboots after I click "Install AppOps Root" but seems to work fine with the "Lauch Stock AppOps" option.
Good job. Thank you.
Works great for me running Stock 4.4.2 on Nexus 5.

It only installs one apk in /system/priv-app/
If you are rooted and have titanium backup or other toolbox you can easily uninstall it (titanium can uninstall system apps); second easiest option is to use ES File Explorer or other root file manager; other ways include adb shell commands (mount / rm), and finally another method that actually doesn't require root is via custom recovery that has a builtin file manager like twrp does... you would mount /system and delete the apk from /system/priv-app

How does this compare to the likes of XPrivacy. It appears this completely denies the permission which would cause certain apps to crash vs providing random false data.

XPrivacy is way more powerful and allows you to revoke many more permissions, but App Ops although limited, works quite well. You cannot remove network access with it, but I removed location, contacts, vibrate, camera, from some apps, and none crashed so far. I've been using App Ops since it was introduced in Jelly Bean, and still do in KitKat.

Well, everything went well as I expected. Beats Audio is perfect. And about Flash Player, it is the only version which works on my phone. Bravia Engine 3 was installed succesully. But the bootanimation.zip flash wasn't successful. Evo-x4 doesn't have a boot animation and I really wanted one. The bootanimation.zip I tried was the ported Google bootanimation.
Anyway I am running Evo-x4 and I really liked your tool. I will use on every ROM probably. Good work.
P.S. The Miscellaneous Tools is my favourite tab.

That is not my fault and it is not the problem with Toolkit.
This is bootanimation "INSTALLER" not "ENABLER". You need a ROM which supports bootanimation.
bootanimation is disabled in Evo-x4 and you will have to enable it.
Bootanimation Installer works fine on all other ROMs.
This tool otherwise works with any recovery [Even stock one also, but may not install tweaks (related to mounts)].
You can use Classic CWM or BroadcomCM CWM.
Can you please tell me how to enable the bootanimation on Evo-x4? Do I need to flash any file before installing the bootanimation.zip?

You both are using stock ROMs? If yes then have you deodexed stock ROM?
In that case this must work.
Also you need to check the checkbox of "Fix Permissions" after you select Kitkat Statusbar.
Fixing Permissions takes 3-4 minutes.
Then this definitely works. I have tested it.
